Description

Device for electrical heating of liquids and gases. The present invention relates to a device for electrical heating of liquids and gases, with built-in resistors between two nested tubes, which differ from the known heating devices of this type by an advantageous embodiment and convenient Type of use.

According to the invention, a feed line for the medium to be heated is inserted through one end, which can reach close to the other end and from which the medium first brushes the heating pipe body inside and then outside in countercurrent as it flows out.

An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in section in the drawing.

An inner tube a and an outer tube b are connected to one another to form a hollow jacket space that is closed at the bottom and open at the top, but by a pin e, for example made of Eternit or Bakelite, ver closable, while the inner tube a is open at the bottom and closed at the top. A heating coil d is arranged in the hollow jacket space of the two tubes a and b. The medium to be expected, e.g. B. water, is fed to the heater through a feed pipe c, which protrudes close to the upper end of the pipe a.

This ensures that there is no accumulation of steam in the heating device. As the water continues to flow in the directions indicated by the arrow, it heats up both on the wall of the pipe a and on the heating surface of the pipe b, thereby rapidly heating the water flowing through it. The latter then leaves the heating pipes a and b and the jacket pipe f surrounding them at h.

For better heat conduction, the heating winding d, which can be wound with advantage bifilar (as in the illustrated embodiment) and, for example, insulated with glass beads, be made of chemically pure quartz sand. On the outside, the 111aiiteli-oln, f 'advantageously has a covering g made of a pale that does not conduct heat well.

All three tubes a., b and c can be viewed as a single heating element that belongs together. The power of such a heating unit can be determined or regulated by connecting several heating elements formed in the manner described above in parallel in a common boiler. Of course, the water can also be reversed, in those cases where the smallest heat radiation from the boiler is required and the high stress on the heating coil does not damage it.

A major advantage of the heating device shown is the quick and easy interchangeability of the double roters a, b in the event of malfunctions due to burning of the heating resistor.
