Description
The present invention relates to a drive arrangement for a polishing tool, wherein the polishing tool also performs an axially directed movement in addition to a rotational movement.
From DE-2 313 385 a drive arrangement for a brush in a vehicle washing system is known. In this arrangement, the rotatably driven brushes are arranged on a brush shaft, wherein the movement of the brush in the circumferential direction of an additional axially directed movement is superimposed. The axial movement of the brush is related to the drive of the rotating movement of the brush. The axial movement and the rotating movement are maintained by the same drive. The purpose of this combined movement of the brushes is to achieve better vehicle cleaning. The brushes should also reach hard to reach places during cleaning. This arrangement is unsuitable for use in polishing plants, where the stroke and the frequency of the axial movement of the polishing tool must be adjusted exactly depending on the task.
Object of the present invention is to propose a drive assembly for a polishing tool of the type mentioned above, which allows the separate adjustment of both the speed of the polishing tool and the frequency and amplitude of the reciprocating motion of the polishing tool.
The object is achieved in that two independent drives are provided, of which the first causes the rotational movement of the polishing tool rotary drive and the second causes the axially directed reciprocating motion of the polishing tool as Axialantriebantrieb, wherein the rotary drive in a housing of the entire drive of the Polishing tool is slidably guided in the axial direction and the axial drive between the housing and the slidably guided rotary drive is effective.
The rotary drive is advantageously a hydraulic drive. As a rotary drive can be selected with advantage a hydraulic motor.
Advantageously, the axial drive is designed as an oscillating cylinder hydraulic drive.
Also for the reciprocation you choose advantageously a hydraulic drive.
The frequency and the amplitude of the reciprocating motion of the axial drive and the rotational speed of the rotary drive can be adjusted independently of each other. In this arrangement, the control of both the speed of the polishing tool and the frequency and the amplitude of the axial drive can be chosen freely depending on the task.
In the following, an embodiment of the invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. It shows:
Fig. 1 is a schematic representation of the drive assembly for a polishing tool.
In Fig. 1, the drive arrangement for a polishing tool is shown schematically. The polishing tool, not shown, is connected to the shaft 1 of the rotary drive 4. The entire drive arrangement for a polishing tool is fastened, for example, to a robot arm with the connection piece 2 shown schematically. It recognizes the housing 3 of the drive assembly. Within this housing 3 are two drives, the rotary actuator 4, which causes the rotational movement of the polishing tool, and the axial drive 5, which causes the axially directed movement of the polishing tool. The two drives 4 and 5 are hydraulic drives whose valves are controlled electronically as usual. The rotary drive 4 is a hydraulic motor and is mounted on a longitudinally displaceably mounted carriage 6 in the housing 3 of the drive assembly.
The control of the axial drive 5 is electronic, which determines the frequency and the amplitude of the axially directed movement between the housing 3 and the carriage 6 and thus the longitudinal movement of the polishing tool between the housing 3 and the carriage 6. For the sake of simplicity, the hydraulic connections of the hydraulic motors 4 and 5 are not shown.
