Beschreibung description
The present invention relates to a plastering compound for interiors, in particular for ceilings. The buildings, the interiors of which are made of concrete or similar building materials, including building blocks and building boards. The concealed material is also suitable for certain fibreboards, including wood fibreboards.
It has long been known that rough walls and ceilings in buildings, especially indoors, must be plastered in order to create smooth surfaces on which the final covering is then applied, e.g. Fine plaster, paint, wallpaper and the like. As a primer, i.e. Flushing compound, usually a more or less liquid or pasty mass with plasterable plaster is used as the main component.
Now gypsum-containing masses have numerous disadvantages. The biggest disadvantage is the rapid change in the viscosity of the plaster. If gypsum and gypsum-containing preparations are mixed with water, a porridge is formed, which is left to stand for a short time for leveling and, after working through again, is applied to the rough surface with a spatula or the like. However, since the plaster hardens immediately after being mixed with water and continues to progress, the mass becomes increasingly tougher, so that it is necessary to add water again after some time. This measure results in a somewhat more fluid mass again, and it is shown that the uniformity of the plaster suffers and that the physical properties of the plaster, as seen over the entire surface, also differ. For the reasons given, it is necessary to prepare relatively small amounts of concealed material at relatively short intervals, which again affects the uniformity of the plaster, because it is of course not possible to produce batches of identical composition on the building. The well-known retarders do not solve these problems either, they only alleviate them. After all, too much of the amount of plastering compound that has been put on must be thrown away, since it cannot be kept for several hours without curing.
Another disadvantage of known, gypsum-containing plaster and concealed materials is the fact that the plaster produced with them disappears, so that more or less fine cracks occur. In addition, the plaster, probably due to the crystallization of the gypsum when setting, becomes hard and rigid, so that expansion of the surface or contraction either results in cracks or crumbling of the plaster. These disadvantages are particularly serious with flush-mounted ceilings, since the cracks that arise cannot be filled easily and lead to parts of the plaster falling off.
The invention has set itself the goal of eliminating the disadvantages described and to provide a new preparation in the form of a flushing compound that can replace the known flushing compounds while improving the properties and processability.
The flushing compound according to the invention is defined in the first independent claim; special embodiments are claimed in dependent claims. In addition, the invention also relates to a special method for its production, which is particularly adapted to the properties of the flush-mounting composition according to the invention and which is defined in the second independent patent claim, special embodiments also being the subject of dependent claims here.
In its simplest form, the plastering composition according to the invention consists of water, pigments (generally white pigments) including fillers, a film-forming organic binder and organic and / or mineral fibers.
As far as the solids are concerned, the plastering composition according to the invention consists of a major amount of fillers and pigments, i.e. the actual plastering substance, partly made of fibers, which prevents the plaster from cracking; the fibers and the fiber mesh (fiber fleece) that forms when the plaster is applied absorbs any shrinkage and expansion of the substrate. The concealed material is free of mineral-curing aggregates.
The bonding of the pigments present in the plastering compound and the fibers to one another and to the substrate is effected with the aid of a dispersion of a film-forming, thermoplastic or crosslinkable polymer or copolymer, in particular polymers or copolymers of vinyl acetate. However, plasticized acrylate polymers, ABS resins, polyurethanes and others are also suitable as binders, likewise film-forming ceilulose derivatives, etc.
Calcium carbonate and, in addition, non-setting, fully hydrated gypsum are preferably used as the pigment in the rendering according to the invention. A very preferred type of plaster is that of the S.I.G.A. "Solfato di calcio biidrato" sold in Bergamo with a specific weight of 2.32 and a particle size of about 95% below 40 (in. In addition, other pigments can be used, and an interesting improvement of the concealed material according to the invention is that, as a pigment entirely or partly to add a lime modified with adhesives. But even without this additive, the under-plaster composition according to the invention has a greatly improved adhesive strength on the substrate. Another improvement of the under-plaster composition according to the invention is to use pigments with different particle size distributions, as a result of which the concealed composition gains further strength and elasticity.
Fiber lengths in the range of 0.01 to 10 mm, preferably 0.01 to 6 mm, are well suited. The respective fiber length will meet the requirements

Of course, short fibers result in a particularly smooth plaster, while long fibers ensure better adhesion of the fine plaster, but produce a rougher surface for the plaster. The material of the fibers can also be inorganic, in addition or exclusively; glass fibers, slag fibers, rock fibers and ceramic fibers are mentioned as examples. Surprisingly, it has been shown that quite small amounts of fibers are sufficient, e.g. 0.2 to 1% by weight.
If the viscosity of the render composition according to the invention is to be increased, which is generally necessary, a mineral thickener is preferably used. White pearlite, a variety with a medium particle size and a specific weight of 0.075, has proven particularly successful. However, other thickeners can also be used, such as fumed silica (“Aerosil” brands). Organic thickeners such as guar flours, polyurethane thickeners and others can also be used.
Other minor additives to improve the flushing composition according to the invention are auxiliaries such as zinc and / or aluminum sulfate, polyphosphates, biocides, surface-active agents (surfactants, emulators, dispersing agents), possibly dyes, etc .; even fragrances are possible. The purpose of adding zinc sulfate - preferably in an aqueous solution - is to react with the lime when it is introduced into the concealed material; this reaction results in densification. Aluminum sulfate promotes the reaction of the various components with one another; it is therefore to be regarded as a reaction aid. Added polyphosphates serve as stabilizers and for setting an optimal viscosity of the rendering compound according to the invention.
In general, the flushing composition according to the invention contains 20 to 30% water, 0.1 to 2% fibers, 2 to 10% binder and 40 to 70% pigments, i.e. solids forming the plaster layer including non-hardening gypsum, further 0.5 to 5% inorganic adhesion promoter. The proportion of the other additives mentioned above generally amounts to 0.2 to 3%. All percentages relate to the weight of the finished render.
A preferred embodiment consists of about 24% water, 0.3% fibers, 59% pigments and additionally 10% gypsum, 3.5% binder and 2.5% adhesion promoter; Thickeners, biocides, surfactants and polyphosphates are divided into the remaining 0.7%.
The new concealed compound is further characterized by a practically unlimited service life if the water does not evaporate, i.e. in closed vessels.
The plastering compound according to the invention is applied to the ceiling of the interior by spraying and leveling. Other surprising advantages were found. Up to now, around 10 kg of plaster plaster had to be applied to the square meter, which resulted in a material thickness of approx. 5 mm. The working speed of a good plasterer is around 20 m2 per day. The flushing compound according to the invention only needs to be applied in amounts of about 3 to 4 kg / m 2 corresponding to a thickness of about 3 to 4 mm; it must also be taken into account here that the specific weight of the flushing compound according to the invention is less than half the density of a gypsum plaster. A good worker easily achieves a performance of 200 m2 per day. The flushing compound according to the invention can namely be easily sprayed on, and it is only necessary to smooth the application with a drawing spatula which is attached to a rod. It is therefore no longer necessary to create expensive and bulky scaffolds when using the plastering composition according to the invention. Due to the drastically increased work productivity and the described, greatly improved properties of the new plastering compound and its lower material requirement, the price of the plastering compound according to the invention, which is higher than plastering, is more than compensated for.

The preparation of the render according to the invention, which is given in the example above, is best carried out in a stirred tank with a high-speed turbomixer, which operates at a speed of approx. 1200 min-1.
The concealed material produced in this way is immediately ready for use and can be stored practically indefinitely, since it does not contain any mineral-hardening constituents such as plaster or cement that can be set and, thanks to the incorporated stabilizers, does not tend to crystallize. After application to the surface, for example a concrete ceiling, using a scraper, it is dry after 2 days and can be coated with the fine plaster or, if a certain fine surface roughness is desired, with the ceiling paint.
Numerous changes and additions are possible within the scope of the invention; these lie in the skill of the expert. For example, the double hydrate gypsum serving as pigment can be replaced in whole or in part by other pigments, e.g. Calcium carbonate or titanium dioxide, etc., although the latter is generally avoided for reasons of price. The organic polyvinyl acetate binder can also be easily replaced by other suitable binders. The nature of the incorporated fiber can be adapted to special applications etc. It would go too far to list all possible changes here.
