Abstract
The watch includes a decorative element comprising a mobile ring (8) having an eccentric mass. The ring is able to turn through 360 degrees on a set of ball bearings. The bearings are arranged concentrically within the watch casing (2). They support the ring so that its upper surface is visible to the outside. The ring may carry one, or two rings of sparkling gems (5,11) lying around the outside of the watch face. They may be precious stones, or natural or cultured pearls, or other sparkling decorations. Description
DESCRIPTION The present invention relates to a watch provided with at least one mobile decorative element. Watches are already known which include mobile decorative elements. It can be a figurine which is driven in an oscillating movement under the action for example of the second wheel to which it is mechanically linked, or alternatively brilliants moving separately by sliding randomly in a space included between the watch glass and an internal wall parallel to it, as described in patent CH 609,517. Also known, in particular from patents FR 1 046 943 and BE 533 232, watches provided with movable elements, for example integral with the rotor, therefore not free, which are not decorative but which serve as benchmarks for the production of a Game. The object of this invention is to provide a watch in which the movement of at least one decorative element gives the whole an aesthetic effect different from that of known watches, in particular that covered by the aforementioned Swiss patent. The watch according to the invention, aiming to achieve the above goal, is characterized by the fact that it comprises at least one decoration ring having an eccentric mass and mounted freely rotating on 360C by its periphery on a ball bearing, this ball bearing being arranged concentrically inside the watch case, and the whole being arranged so that at least part of the upper surface of the decoration ring is visible from the outside. The mobile decoration element can be engraved, guilloche, provided with brilliants or any other type of decoration (hologram, colored surface coating, mother-of-pearl, etc.). The appended drawing illustrates schematically and by way of example an embodiment of the watch according to the invention. Figure 1 is a plan view. FIG. 2 is a partial view in cross section of the embodiment according to FIG. 1. The watch illustrated in Figures 1 and 2 includes a case back 1, a middle-bezel 2 screwed onto said case back, and a glass 3. The bezel 2 has an inner rim in which are machined housings 4 intended to receive brilliants 5 forming a fixed outer crown of brilliants. In the center of the watch is housed a case or cap 6 containing the mechanical or electronic driving means needles 7. Finally, between the functional box 6 and the crown fixed external of brilliants 5 is arranged an element of mobile decoration consisting of a ring 8 mounted tower free freely by its internal periphery on a bearing with balls 9, itself mounted on an intermediate piece 10. This ring 8 is provided with a counterweight (not shown) or any other means intended to create an imbalance, so that that any movement of the watch tends to cause said ring in a free rotation over 360 ". As illustrated on the figurel, ring 8 can be fitted over its entire circumference diamonds 11 fixed in housings 12 and thus forming a second mobile internal crown of brilliants, concentrated than at the first fixed crown of brilliants 5. The aesthetic effect created by the relative rotation of the two crowns of brilliants 5 and 11 respectively is original and gives the watch thus decorated a commercial added value ciale. On the other hand, one or more other movable rings identical or not to the ring 8 can be mounted rotating freely over 360 "in the same way as said ring 8, concentrically or eccentrically to it. Well in stretched, the rotating decorative element may have other types of decorations, as mentioned above, or itself present a figurative or decorative form. By brilliant, we mean here and throughout the description tion, all types of stones, whether or not cut, precious or not, as well as natural pearls or not, precious or not.
Claims (3)
- CLAIMS 1. Watch provided with at least one mobile decorative element, characterized in that it comprises at least one decorative ring (8) having an eccentric mass and mounted freely rotating on 3600 by its periphery on a ball bearing ( 9), this ball bearing being arranged concentrically inside the watch case (1, 2, 3), and the whole being arranged so that at least part of the upper surface of the ring decoration is visible from the outside.
- 2. Watch according to claim 1, characterized in that the said surface of the decoration ring visible from the outside is engraved, guilloche, pearly, coated with a surface or with housings in which the diamonds are fixed.
- 3. Watch according to claim 2, characterized in that the watch case (1, 2, 3) has at its periphery a fixed crown of brilliants (5), and in that said decoration ring (8) is rotatably mounted between this fixed ring of diamonds and a watch actuation device (6) disposed in the center of said box, this ring being provided with diamonds (it) distributed around its circumference to form a second ring of rotary diamonds concentrically to said first crown of brilliants.
