Abstract
The tampon applicator consists of a guide tube (1) in which the tampon (3) is placed. A hollow cylinder (2) which slides inside the guide tube (1) is used to insert the tampon. The upper end of the guide tube is provided with a removable cap (6) with a connector (8) through which teh tampon can be impregnated with an antiseptic or other medicinal substance. The tampon is provided with a withdrawing emmber. USE/ADVANTAGE - For female hygiene, with low-cost mfr.

BESCHREIBUNG
Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Tampon Applikator gemäss dem Oberbegriff des Patentanspruches 1.
Um dem Bedürfnis, in die Gebärmutter einen beispielsweise mit einem Desinfektionsmittel getränkten Tampon einführen zu können, war es bekannt, im Einführrohr einen Tampon unterzubringen und über diesen Tampon einen mit einem Rückzugsorgan versehenen Ausstossteller vorzusehen.
Da dieser Ausstossteller den Raum oberhalb des Tampons einigermassen dicht abschliessen sollte, musste er mit einer gewissen Genauigkeit hergestellt werden. Dies war aus dem weiteren Grunde notwendig, dass beispielsweise ein Ausstossteller von zu geringem Durchmesser zum Verkanten neigte, so dass die Ausstossbewegung nicht oder nur mit einiger Kraftanstrengung erfolgen konnte.
Der vorliegenden Erfindung lag die Aufgabe zugrunde, einen Tampon-Applikator der betreffenden Art zu schaffen, der einerseits preisgünstig hergestellt werden kann und andererseits die erwähnten Nachteile nicht aufweist.
Der Lösung dieser Aufgabe dienen die im kennzeichnenden Teil des Patentanspruches 1 erwähnten Merkmale.
In der Zeichnung ist im Schnitt eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes dargestellt.
In den Einführzylinder list, wie üblich, die hohizylinder- förmige Ausstosshülse 2 eingeschoben. Oberhalb dieser Ausstosshülse 2 ist der mit einem Rückzugsorgan verbundene Tampon 3 angeordnet. Der Einführzvlinder 1 besitzt einen verdickten Oberrand 5, über welchen die Verschlusskappe 6 aufgebracht ist. Die Verschlusskappe 6 besitzt zwei Durchbrechungen 7, wovon die eine zur Aufnahme eines vorteilhafterweise konisch ausgebildeten Einfüllstutzens 8 durchsetzt ist, um auf diese Weise die Durchtränkung des Tampons zu gestatten, ohne dass es notwendig wäre, die Verschlusskappe 6 zu entfernen.
Aus diesem konstruktiven Aufbau ergibt sich schon die Verwendung des betreffenden Applikators. So wird vorerst durch den Einfüllstutzen 8 die Medizinalfiüssigkeit auf den Tampon 3 gegeben. Anschliessend wird die Kappe 6 entfernt und der von Medizinalfiüssigkeit durchtränkte Tampon 3 vermittels der Hülse ausgestossen, so dass dieser in der Lage ist, die gewünschte Stelle innerhalb der Vagina mit Medizi nalfiüssigkeit zu benetzen. Der Tampon kann einige Stunden in der Vagina belassen werden, ohne dass ein Herausfliessen der Medizinalfiüssigkeit möglich ist. Erst nach erfolgter Benetzung wird der Tampon mittels des Rückzugorganes 4 wieder aus der Vagina entfernt. Auf diese Weise gelingt die Schaffung eines preisgünstigen und leicht zu bedienenden Applikators.
Der Einfüllstutzen muss ca. 3-4 cm tief in den Hohlraum hineinreichen, damit sich beim Einfüllen keine Luft unter der Medizinalfiüssigkeit ansammeln kann. Die zweite Durchbrechung 7 ist für das Entweichen der Luft und als Anzeige, dass der Hohlraum mit Medizinalflüssigkeit voll ist, konstruiert.
DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a tampon applicator according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
In order to meet the need to be able to insert a tampon soaked in a disinfectant, for example, it was known to accommodate a tampon in the insertion tube and to provide an ejector with a retraction element via this tampon.
Since this ejector was supposed to seal the space above the tampon to some extent, it had to be manufactured with a certain degree of accuracy. This was necessary for the further reason that, for example, an ejection actuator of too small a diameter tended to tilt, so that the ejection movement could not be carried out or only with a little effort.
The object of the present invention was to create a tampon applicator of the type in question which on the one hand can be manufactured inexpensively and on the other hand does not have the disadvantages mentioned.
The solution to this problem are the features mentioned in the characterizing part of claim 1.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in section.
As usual, the hollow cylindrical ejection sleeve 2 is inserted into the insertion cylinder. The tampon 3 connected to a retraction element is arranged above this ejection sleeve 2. The introducer 1 has a thickened upper edge 5, over which the closure cap 6 is applied. The closure cap 6 has two openings 7, one of which is penetrated to accommodate an advantageously conically shaped filler neck 8, in order in this way to allow the tampon to be impregnated without it being necessary to remove the closure cap 6.
The use of the applicator in question already results from this construction. For the time being, the medicinal liquid is placed on the tampon 3 through the filler neck 8. The cap 6 is then removed and the tampon 3 soaked with medicinal fluid is expelled by means of the sleeve, so that it is able to wet the desired location within the vagina with medicinal fluid. The tampon can be left in the vagina for a few hours without the medicinal fluid flowing out. The tampon is only removed from the vagina again by means of the retraction element 4 after wetting has taken place. In this way, an inexpensive and easy-to-use applicator can be created.
The filler neck must reach approx. 3-4 cm deep into the cavity so that no air can collect under the medicinal liquid when filling. The second opening 7 is designed for the escape of air and as an indication that the cavity is full of medical fluid.
