Abstract
The ladder is constructed from a pole (1) of circular or rectangular cross-section with rungs (2) attached so that they extend outwards on opposite sides of the post. The ladder may be made in sections which can be joined end to end. One end (3) of the post is of reduced dia. and fits in a socket in the end of the post of the adjoining section and is then secured by a transverse pin. The ladder may be fitted on one or both sides with a handrail (4). The latter may be attached to a wall by means of plates (6) provided with fixing holes. USE/ADVANTAGE - This design of ladder is lighter than conventional ladders.
Description
BESCHREIBUNG
Fig. 5 zeigt einen rechenförmigen Fuss mit Rechen 10.
DESCRIPTION
Column ladders have been in use for thousands of years. In historical times, they were used to make thin tree trunks, which at certain intervals had boreholes into which the rungs were anchored. This primitive design of the column ladder has disadvantages, in particular it has a high weight and is not accident-proof enough without a rigid attachment on site. This first type of ladder was followed by the ladder with two bars that is used most frequently today. The rungs of these ladders lie between the bars and are only protruding on the inside of each bar. The ladder type with two bars is manufactured in a very large number of designs, but also has disadvantages compared to the column ladder. The column ladder made of elements, which is the subject of this invention, uses steel tubes for the column.
Dovetailing allows several ladder elements to be put together, making it possible to transport very long ladders on standard-length vehicles. By using suitable ladder feet and holder elements, these pillar ladders can be used in all conceivable positions. This column ladder is particularly suitable as a rescue ladder on walls, e.g. Bank walls, rock walls and building walls. When an axis guide is installed, this column ladder can be swiveled and is attached to the bridge railing and can be used as a rescue ladder without hindering shipping traffic in the idle state. This column ladder made of elements with a tubular column offers great advantages over the original wooden ladder with a solid column and can also perform better in some areas of application than the two-column ladder.
Fig. 1 shows an embodiment where rungs 2 are attached to both sides of the column. The column base and the coupling pin 3 have through holes which enable the screwing of the individual conductor elements. 2 shows the same conductor element with handrails 4 on both sides, which are connected to the column by webs 5. In Fig. 3, a conductor element is shown, which can be attached to walls. The plate 6, which is firmly connected to the column by a connector 7, is used for wall mounting. Figures 4 to 8 show insertable column feet for different types of soil.
FIG. 4 shows a plate-shaped foot with insertion pin 8 and foot plate 9. FIG. 5 shows a rake-shaped foot with rake 10. FIG. 6 shows a lance-shaped foot with stop plate 11 and lance 12. In FIG. 7 a bipod foot is shown with Plate 13 and legs 14. FIG. 8 shows a foot designed as a tripod with plate 13 and legs 14. FIG. 9 shows a holder element for gutters, with the connecting part 15 on the conductor column, the arm 16 and the holding leg 17. Fig. 10 shows a holder element for pitched roofs, where a plate 19 with foam covering can be attached to the front of the arm 18 to protect the tiles. In Fig. 11 a holder element is shown, which consists of the arm 20 and the holder plate 21 and is used for support on vertical walls.
FIG. 12 shows a holder element, where a semicircular element 22 with end rings 23 is attached to the connecting part 15. This type of bracket is suitable for leaning the column ladder against round masts and tree trunks and can be secured with a rope or chain. In Fig. 13 the upper insert of a vertical room ladder is shown, which serves to sprout against the ceiling. This insert has a spindle nut thread 24, a rotatable spindle 25 and a mounting plate 26.
FIG. 14 shows a two-part, extendable side support made of pipes, which are fastened in pairs in the upper area of the column ladder, making them usable for free-standing use. The base tube 27, which is fastened to the conductor column, has two through holes for screwing with the thinner insertion tube 28.
The insertion tube, which is provided with holes at intervals, has at one end an obtuse bracket plate for the floor or walls.
Fig. 15 shows the rotating mechanism of a conductor element. The conductor column and the handrails 4 are welded on both sides to the round tube 30 serving as a pivot bearing.
The conductor axis 31 consisting of a round tube has a fastening plate 32 and a guide plate 33 at one end. At the other end of the axis, a second guide plate 34 is attached, which is secured by a pin 35.
