BESCHREIBUNG
Fig. 2 eine Stirnansicht der Vorrichtung nach Fig. I in Richtung der Zahnradachse.
DESCRIPTION
A device according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from DE-OS 31 50 961. In this known device, the tool, the tooth width of which is less than the tooth gap width of the gear, is retracted to the desired center distance between the tool and the gear and then, with the tool and gear rotating continuously, a controlled rotary feed movement is superimposed on the synchronous rotation, whereby the one tooth flanks of the gear of their entire length.
Tool and gear wheel touch along a line from one end face of the gear wheel to the other. This processing method has proven itself very well. However, the known method cannot be used with wide gears, because if the width were too large, the tooth profile of the gear would be partially undercut and the generation of the tooth profile would therefore not be possible for geometric reasons.
The invention has for its object to develop a device according to the preamble of claim I such that wide gears can be machined with it. This object is achieved with the characterizing features of claim 1.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. It shows:
Fig. I is a schematic representation of the device, wherein the gear circumference is developed in one plane, and
Fig. 2 is an end view of the device of FIG. I in the direction of the gear axis.
A device according to the invention is shown schematically in FIG. wherein the shell of a gear I to be machined is unwound in one plane. The spindles 11, 21, 31 of three grinding worms 10, 20, 30 which are offset with respect to one another in the circumferential direction and in the axial direction of the gearwheel 1 are arranged skew to the workpiece spindle 2.
The axes 12, 22, 32 of the spindles 11, 1, 31 each have the same distance from and the same angle with respect to the gear wheel axis 3. The grinding worms 10, 20, 30 have an approximately hyperboloid or globoid-shaped outer contour and each touch the gear wheel 1 along one Processing line 13, 23, 33 with a starting point 14, 24, 34, a center point 15, 25, 35 and an end point 16, 26, 36.
The machining width 17, 27, 37 of the grinding worms 10, 20, 30 adjoin one another and thus add up to a working width which corresponds to the width 4 of the gearwheel I. The processing widths 17, 27, 37 can also overlap slightly.
2 shows the spatial arrangement of the grinding worms 10, 20, 30 around the gearwheel 1.
To machine the prepared gear 1, the grinding worms 10, 20, 30 are first fed radially, analogously to the method described in DE-OS 31 50 961, until the desired production center distance between the gear axis 3 and the worm axes 12, 22, 32 is reached.
Gear 1 and grinding worms 10, 20, 30 do not yet touch each other because the tooth width of grinding worms 10, 20, 30 is smaller than the width of the tooth gaps of gear 1. Then, with continuously rotating gear 1 and grinding worms 10, 20, 30 The synchronous rotary movement is superimposed on a rotary feed of the gear 1 or the grinding worms 10, 20, 30, so that first the one tooth flank of the gear 1 is machined. After reaching a preselected feed angle, the rotary feed is continued in the opposite direction and the other tooth flank is processed in an analogous manner.
In this processing, it is important that the grinding worms 10, 20, 30 rotate exactly synchronously with one another and at the same time precisely maintain a certain angle of rotation relative to one another, so that there are no steps along the flanks of the gear wheel. In order to precisely coordinate the grinding worms against each other, it is advisable to dress all three grinding worms 10, 20, 30 together in the clamping provided for the machining of gear 1 by clamping a dressing gear on the device instead of gear 1, the width of which is greater than the width of the gear rim 4 of the gear I is. The worms 10, 20, 30 are then dressed together in the rotary feed method analogous to the machining of the gear wheel 1.
This can ensure that with precisely synchronous rotation of the grinding worms 10, 20, 30 during the machining of the gear 1 there are no steps on the contact lines of the machining widths 17, 27, 37.
In the drawing, an embodiment with three grinding worms 10, 20, 30 is shown. For narrower gears 1, however, an arrangement with only two grinding worms can also be selected. In the case of even wider gear wheels, more than three grinding worms can be expedient, the grinding worms advantageously being arranged along a helical line around the gear wheel.
The exemplary embodiment described was explained using the rotary feed method. However, the same device is also suitable for carrying out the immersion process, in which the tools 10, 20, 30 are fed radially during continuous rotation relative to the workpiece I, which also rotates synchronously, and both tooth flanks are machined simultaneously. With the immersion method, for example, the teeth of gear I can also be milled out of the full. Both methods are also suitable for honing or scraping.
