Abstract

The central movement with hour, minute and seconds hands is adjustable by a pushbutton (3) mounted between the start, stop and reset pushbuttons (7,8) operating on the independent stop-watch module. This includes a crystal resonator (9), an integrated circuit (10) and a micromotor (11) driving a separate seconds hand (13) via gearing (12), and has its battery (14). Alternatively, at least part of the timed interval is represented digitally by a display which is controlled by the integrated circuit, and possibly used to display other information, e.g. the date. ADVANTAGE - Separate stop-watch module can be fitted alongside or below main movement without difficulty.
