Abstract

A water supply outlet (11) is fixed to one end of a hollow body (13). In order to limit the dimensions of a filter which eliminates from the water any unpleasant-tasting additives, for example chlorine, to a minimum, the hollow body (13) has formed in it a seat which may accommodate a filter cartridge (16). Switching means (21, 23) are provided for conveying the water through the hollow body (13) either directly to the supply outlet (11) or through the filtering cartridge (16). Depending on the intended use of the water, it is thus possible to supply filtered or non-filtered water. Consequently the saturation time of the filter cartridge (16) is increased considerably. <IMAGE>

Il presente trovato si riferisce ad una doccia per uso domestico secondo il preambolo della rivendicazione 1. The present invention relates to a shower for domestic use according to the preamble of claim 1.

È noto come le acque per uso potabile siano oggigiorno trattate con percentuali piuttosto rilevanti di cloro per mantenere a livelli accettabili la loro carica batterica. 1. Shower for domestic use, of the type comprising a hollow body (13) at one end of which a dispensing mouth (31) is fixed, characterized in that a seat is formed within said body in which a filter cartridge is housed ( 16), in the body being formed a first path (20) of water from a supply to the mouth passing through said cartridge (16), and a second path (19) not passing through said cartridge, the two paths reaching the mouth through a drawer (21 ) manually operated to select the path open to the water flow.

Shower according to claim 1, characterized in that inside said body (13) a seat is formed which receives the water supply and in which a peripheral jacket (18) containing the cartridge can be accommodated, and that said water path selection drawer (21) can be moved between two positions, a first position in which it communicates with the mouth a path around said jacket, the water not passing through said cartridge, and a second position in to which it communicates with the mouth an outlet from said seat through the filter cartridge (16).

Shower according to claim 2, characterized in that said cartridge (16) has an end which is coupled tightly with an exit from said seat, communicating with the drawer.

Shower according to claim 3, characterized in that said cartridge (16) is cylindrical and is removably housed in a cylindrical seat of larger diameter where it is held by a cap (14) which is screwed onto the seat by pushing on the end of the opposite cartridge at the end that mates tightly with the seat.

5. Shower according to claim 4, characterized in that the supply of water to the shower arrives in said cap.

6. Shower according to claim 1, characterized in that said mouth has two series of outlet holes (31, 32) and a second manually operated drawer (28) is provided downstream of said drawer (21) which selects the path of the water to one or the other series of holes.

Shower according to claim 6, characterized in that said second drawer (28) has a diaphragm shutter (25) which moves in a chamber where the duct coming from the first drawer (21) radially opens, the two bases of the chamber (26, 27) on which the diaphragm rests peripherally tightly, communicating each with one of the series of holes in the mouth, the diaphragm being held against a base (27) by a spring (29) which gives it a thrust less than the resulting thrust on the diaphragm due to the pressure arising from the pressure drop undergone by the water passing through the corresponding holes (32) of the mouth when the diaphragm (25) rests on the other base (26).
