Abstract

Folding table which can be fastened to the wall, has no supporting foot and is composed of two metal frames connected by means of hinges (6), one of which frames can be fastened to the wall (2) while the other supports the table top (3). Two struts (9) which are connected to one another and can be latched in and unlatched support the frame of the table top (3) in the position of use; while latching into the position of use is carried out automatically by the folding-up of the table top (3), unlatching is achieved by actuating a mechanism (14, 15, 18, 19) which is mounted below the table top and by means of which the table top can be folded downwards. <IMAGE>

PATENT CLAIMS 1. Wall-mounted folding table, characterized in that it consists of two frames which are connected by hinges (6), that one of these is attached to the vertical wall (2) while the other carries the table top (3) that the movable frame is held in a 90 "position relative to the fixed frame by means of two movable supports (9) and that they can be released under the table top by means of a handle (19) which is not visible.

2. Folding table according to the preceding claim 1, characterized in that the lateral supports (9) are supported at one end on the fixed frame on the bearing (7) by bolts (8), while the opposite end has pins (20, 21), one (20) of which is guided by a round bar (17) provided on the movable frame, while the other pin (21) engages in a notch provided on the movable frame in a position corresponding to the position of use of the table.

3. Folding table according to the preceding claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the pins (21) provided at the ends of the supports (9) in the position of use are pressed from bottom to top by an element (10) having an inclined plane, which is mounted on the movable frame by means of bolts (11) and is connected by a transverse profile (14) via pins (12) to a round bar (15) which ends in a handle (19) and that a compression spring (18) is placed on the round bar The effect is that the pin (21) is pressed into the notch provided on the movable frame by means of the element (10) provided with an inclined plane.

The invention relates to a wall-mounted folding table. The folding table is of simple manufacture, particularly stable in the position of use and flawless operation.

Folding tables for vehicles, camper vans, caravans, bathrooms, kitchens and the like are known, but these tables have the disadvantage that they are not very stable in the position of use, and have visible unaesthetic and unreliable mechanisms, in particular are mostly impractical for the position of use, tasteless feet or supports provided.

The invention has for its object to provide a folding table with not directly visible supports and locking mechanism, which has no hanging device and feet, can be easily and securely mounted on any wall and its position of use is particularly stable.

This object is achieved by a folding table according to claim 1. In a preferred embodiment, these supports are pivotally mounted at one end on the wall-mounted frame, while the other end runs in guides on the movable frame and engage in notches on the metal longitudinal profile in a right-angled position. In order to snap into the notch, the corresponding end of the strut is pushed up by a movable element. This element can be operated by pulling on a handle loaded by a compression spring, whereby the supports can be released from the notches when the table top is lifted slightly and the table can thus be folded down. The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the attached drawing, which schematically shows a preferred exemplary embodiment according to the invention. FIG. 1 is a side view, partly in a sectional view of a folding table according to the invention. Fig. 2 shows the side view of the latching and release mechanism for the supports.

On the wall 2, the fixed frame, consisting of the vertical profiles 4 and the horizontal profiles 4a, 4b, is fixed on the floor 1. On the upper side, the pivotable frame, consisting of the profiles 5, 5a, 5b, on which the table top 3 is mounted, is mounted by means of hinge bolts 6.

On the fixed frame, bearings 7 are provided, on which the supports 9 are articulated in the direction 9a by means of bolts 8, the supports have two pins 20, 21 at the free end. The pin 20 is guided along the profile 5 through the round rod 16, while the pin 21 engages in the corresponding notch on the lower web of the profile 5 and thus determines the position of use of the table top 3 at an angle of 90 "to the wall. The pin 21 is determined pressed into the notch by the element 10 with an inclined plane, the element 10 is mounted on the bearing 13 which is provided on the profile 5 by the bolt 11. The element 10 is movable in the direction 10a under the action of a compression spring 18, presses the pin 21 upwards and snap it into the notch.

The spring 18 abuts on one side on the profile 5b while it acts with the opposite side on a disc 17, which is attached to a round rod 15, which in turn acts on a transverse profile 14 and, at the ends provided pins 12 that Element 10 actuated.

The round rod 15 ends on the side facing the end face of the table top 3, below it in a handle 19 which is axially movable. By pulling the handle 19, the spring 18 is compressed, the transverse profile 14 connected to the round rod 15 pulls the element 10, in the direction 10a, downward via the pins 12 firmly connected to this, whereby the pins 21 of the supports 9 become free , due to a slight lifting of the table top 3, the pins release and the table can be folded down.

The latching of the supports 9 into the notches, the bearing 6 between the two frames and the various possibilities for fastening the frames enable an extremely stable position of use.

The supports 9 are not directly visible in the use position and do not hinder because they can act at a very acute angle to the table top, while the handle 19 is hidden under the table top 3.
