PATENTANSPRÜCHE

PATENT CLAIMS
1. Dead weight clamping coupling for a sling of a circulating cable railway, in which the coupling of the sling to the carrying and pulling rope is effected and maintained by the sling's own weight, with two in a sling frame in its longitudinal direction, i.e. in the longitudinal direction of the rope, Clamping devices which are arranged one behind the other and are independent of one another with regard to their effect, characterized in that the suspension frame (2) is divided into two longitudinal halves (2A, 2B) in which one or the other of the two clamping devices (3A, 3B) is installed and that these longitudinal halves are connected to one another in the immediate vicinity of the points of attack of the clamping device on the carrying and traction cable by a flexible joint (21).
2. Deadweight clamping coupling according to claim 1, characterized in that the joint is provided with an insert (28) made of rubber-like material.
3. Deadweight clamping coupling according to claim 2, characterized in that the outer and the inner surface of the insert abuts concentric spherical surfaces of an inner joint part (24) and an outer joint part (27), preferably vulcanized.
The invention relates to a dead weight clamping coupling for a hanger of a circulating cable railway, in which the coupling of the hanger to the carrying and traction cable is effected and maintained by the dead weight of the hanger, with two in a hanger frame in its longitudinal direction, i.e. in the longitudinal direction of the Ropes, arranged one behind the other, in themselves complete, independent of each other in terms of their effect clamping devices.
Since about 1950, such self-weight clamping couplings, also known as double clamps, which are equipped with two clamping devices, have been used for the transport of two or more people. The two clamping devices were always accommodated in two longitudinal halves of the suspension frame that were rigidly connected to one another with respect to pivoting. This is associated with various disadvantages, which is easy to understand when one realizes that the fixed jaws of the two clamping devices are part of the hanger frame, that is to say they are similarly rigidly connected to one another.
A first disadvantage is that the clamping coupling responds to the changes in curvature that each rope section suffers when it travels through the conveying path or
should be able to suffer, cannot adapt; Such changes in curvature result from variable sag of the rope and from rope deflections in the vertical and / or horizontal.
A second disadvantage is that hard shocks are caused in the rope deflection areas (supports, stations of the railway). The higher the conveying speed, the stronger these impacts, which significantly reduces the comfort of the transported people (at conveying speeds above 3.5 m / s, the impacts are practically unbearable) and sensitive parts (especially bearings, welded connections) of the sling are subjected to extremely high loads will.
A third disadvantage is the strong kinking of the rope in sections that connect to the ends of the clamping coupling.
The invention has for its object to reduce these disadvantages to a significant extent. According to the invention, the solution is seen in that the suspension frame is divided into two longitudinal halves, in which one or the other of the two clamping devices is installed, and that these longitudinal halves in the immediate vicinity of the points of attack of the clamping devices on the carrying and traction cable by a flexible joint on all sides are interconnected.
In a clamp coupling of a new type, which is described in the name of the applicant DE-OS 2710234 and in which each of the two clamping devices has a knee joint, one arm of which is articulated to the movable jaw, while the other, on the suspension frame supported arm is rigidly connected to the hanger support rod, the invention brings in addition to the extensive elimination of the disadvantages mentioned above, an additional advantage.
This is understandable if one realizes that in the stations of the cable railway the structure of the leading clamping device consisting of the suspension support rod and the rigidly connected knee joint arm both briefly before the corresponding structure of the trailing clamping device when entering and leaving the station is operated. According to the principle of action and reaction, this results in relative movements of the two longitudinal halves of the clamping coupling with respect to one another. Such relative movements are made possible by the joint which is flexible on all sides.
In the absence of the same, that is to say when the two hanging frame longitudinal halves are rigidly connected to one another, additional, practically unmanageable stresses would occur in the hanging frame; early fatigue fractures should be expected, which must be prevented for safety reasons. Mismatches could also occur, which must be avoided at all costs.
Particularly in the preferred embodiment, in which the joint is provided in a manner known per se with an insert made of rubber-like material, there is also the advantage of damping the shocks which still occur.
An embodiment of the joint according to claim 2 is particularly advantageous because then the all-round mobility of the frame halves with respect to one another is better guaranteed.
The invention is explained below with reference to the accompanying drawing, for example. Show it:
1 and 2 show two similar elevations of an embodiment of the self-weight clamping coupling according to the invention, namely FIG. 1 in the area of a pair of deflection sheaves located under the support and traction cable, and FIG. 2 in the area of a pair of over the support and Pair of deflection sheaves located on the pull rope,
3 shows a plan view of FIGS. 1 and 2, the deflection disks being omitted,
4 shows an elevation of a joint belonging to the clamping coupling according to arrow IV of FIG. 3,
Fig. 5 is a section along the line V-V of Fig. 4, and
6 shows a section along one of the lines VI-VI in FIG. 5.
The self-weight clamping coupling shown for a hanger of a circulating cable railway, in which the coupling of the hanger to the carrying and traction cable 1 is effected and maintained by the own weight of the hanger, has two in a longitudinally designated, in the longitudinal direction, so called in the longitudinal direction of the rope, arranged one behind the other, in themselves complete, independent of each other in terms of their effect
pending clamps, designated 3A and 3B, respectively. The design of these clamping devices largely corresponds to that which is described in the above-mentioned DE-OS 2710234 with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4 and which is also clearly visible from FIGS. 3 and 6 of the accompanying drawing. It should be mentioned briefly that the fixed jaw 4 is formed on the hanger frame 2, whereas on the movable jaw 6, which is rotatably mounted on the latter at 5, the one lever arm 8 of a toggle lever engages via a ball joint 7, the other lever arm 9 of which by means of a ball joint 7a on Hanging frame 2 is supported and rigidly connected to the upper portion 10 of a hanger support bar; the two lever arms 8, 9 are rotatably supported at 11.
A locking pin 12 is located when the hanger is coupled in a wedge-shaped gap which is formed between a surface 13 formed on the lever arm 9 and the bearing eyes of the lever arms 8, 9 through which the bearing pin 11 passes, so that this does not result in cross winds in the direction of arrow W on the hanger including the cabin, the knee lever 8, 9 can click in and thus bring the clamping device 3A or 3B to open. The locking pin 12 passes through a control slot 14 which is formed in a lever 15 mounted on the lever arm 9; this carries a roller 16 which runs in the stations of the track on a (not shown) rail, thereby rotating the lever 15 against the action of a spring 25 so that the locking pin 12 is made ineffective for releasing the clamping coupling from the rope 1.
As far as described above, the design and function of the clamping coupling can be assumed to be known. Also known is the presence of tongues 17, 18 articulated at the ends of the hanger frame, which rest against the rope 1 and, as they move past stationary deflection sheaves such as 19, 20 (FIG. 1), as an opening or
Drain tongues work.
In the clamping coupling designed according to the invention, the hanger frame 2 is now divided into two longitudinal halves 2A, 2B, in which one or the other of the two clamping devices 3A, 3B is installed, and furthermore these longitudinal halves are in the immediate vicinity of the points of application of the clamping devices on the support and pull rope 1 connected to one another by a flexible joint 21.
This joint is arranged at a short distance next to the support surfaces for the support and pull cable 1, the joint axis or the center of the joint should be located approximately at the level of the axis of these support surfaces or the pull cable. This is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and is due to the fact that in regions - such as those shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 - in which the cable 1 is deflected in the vertical plane, the halves of the hanging frame are pivoted relative to one another 2A, 2B can take place without any tendency for the rope to be compressed or stretched.
The lateral distance from the center of the joint to the rope 1 should be as small as possible so that when the halves 2A, 2B are pivoted relative to one another in a horizontal or in a more or less inclined plane, the least possible movement of the joint parts with respect to one another is necessary, because such a movement is only possible thanks to the flexible design of the joint.
The joint 21 is of a type known per se in mechanical engineering. It has a bearing pin 22, which is seated in two bearing eyes 23 provided on the frame half 2B and carries a bearing part 24 with a largely spherical outer surface. An articulated housing 26 is cast onto the frame half 10; in this sits a bearing part 27 with a spherical inner surface, the center of which corresponds to the center of the part-spherical surface of 24 in the unstressed state of the joint 21. Between the two spherical surfaces, an insert 28 made of rubber-like, ie elastically flexible material is vulcanized. Such bearings are already available on the market. In a - obviously a little less good - variant, a similar joint could be used, in which the rubber-elastic insert is hollow-cylindrical.
The only important thing is that the joint 21 is sufficiently flexible on all sides, so that the frame halves 2A, 2B are connected to one another securely enough on the one hand, and on the other hand can be moved sufficiently in relation to one another at the cable deflection points in order to minimize additional stresses as far as possible to keep the rope section between the two hanger frame halves 2A, 2B away and, in conjunction with this, to avoid additional stresses on the halves 2A, 2B. This also largely avoids the disadvantages mentioned in the introduction, which are inherent in the double clamps with the halves of the frame rigidly connected to one another.
