Abstract

An installation for timing with television pictures comprises two television cameras (I, II), means for counting the time for a timing (1-5, 11-19), command means (10), and a video recorder (24). In the picture-taking mode, said time counting means deliver to said cameras image scan start pulses at the rate of 50 per second and with a shift of 10 ms from one camera to the other. An image, from one camera or from the other, thus starts every hundredth of a second. The video recorder (24) is of a standard type, the number of heads of which has been doubled, an arrangement which increases the speed of movement of the magnetic tape and/or which refines the magnetic inscription of the video information permits an interlaced recording of the video information from the two cameras, on a single magnetic tape in a single video recorder. This installation permits the economic concentration of a precise time measurement and a television standard transmission. <IMAGE>
