Fig. 1 in perspektivischer, angeschnittener Darstellung einen Installationskanal in offenem Zustand,

The invention relates to an installation duct for electrical lines, with a length extending over its length, ver closable opening through which the lines to be lead conditions can be inserted, as well as with a fastening strip and with two side walls connected with their longitudinal edges. Such an installation channel is known. It is in two parts and usually consists of a U- or C-shaped profile made of impact-resistant plastic, into which the to be guided
Lines are inserted, as well as a cover, which for
Closing the channel is slipped over the free ends of the U- or C-shaped profile and locked there. This instal lationskanal offers the advantage that when laying the
Lines that no longer have to be pulled in or threaded, but can simply be inserted.
In practice, however, this canal was hardly able to establish itself to any great extent, especially in installations that were carried out during construction. This is mainly because two different parts, namely profile piece and cover, are required for the complete channel, both of which must also be cut to the desired length on the building.
It is therefore hardly surprising that, for routing cables, the practitioner often prefers armored pipes made of steel or plastic, which are fastened with brackets or clips, to the known installation duct, although the annoying pulling in or threading of the cables must be accepted.
It is therefore an aim of the invention to create a channel of the type mentioned at the beginning, which is considerably easier to handle than the known channel.
According to the invention, this purpose is achieved in the proposed installation duct in that at least one of the side walls can be bent to the other side wall about bending axes running in the longitudinal direction of the duct, with latching elements that can be brought into mutual engagement with one another on the free longitudinal edges of the side walls.
In principle, the proposed installation channel is thus a tubular structure with a detachable and reclosable longitudinal seam.
Features of preferred embodiments of the proposed installation duct are defined in more detail in the dependent claims 2 to 9.
Two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below. It shows:
Fig. 1 in a perspective, cut-away representation of an installation duct in the open state,
FIG. 2 shows a cross section through the channel according to FIG. 1 in the closed state, and
3 shows the cross-sectional shape of an embodiment variant in the open state.
The installation duct 10 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is essentially formed by a one-piece profile 11 which, for example, produced by extrusion from polypropylene or rigid PVC, has the same cross-sectional shape over its entire length. The profile 11 has a channel bottom or a fastening strip 12, with two longitudinal edges
Side walls 13, 14 related to a certain extent acting as a film hinge or joint point 15, 16 of lower wall thickness. The side walls 13, 14 have on their part in cross-section the shape of an L, so that they together with the fastening strip 12 in the closed state
Channel 10 a quadrangular in cross section, in particular rectangular or square channel cavity 17 umschlies sen.
On the free longitudinal edge of the side wall 13, an outwardly directed locking lug 18 with a stop surface 19, which is expediently somewhat undercut, is formed. Furthermore, an inwardly directed longitudinal rib 20 is formed on the same free longitudinal edge, the purpose of which will be explained later.
On the free longitudinal edge of the side wall 14 there is an inwardly directed inwardly directed profile which is shaped in opposite directions to the locking lug 18
Latch 21 is formed, the stop surface 22 of which is also expediently undercut. Opposite the stop surfaces 19,22, both latching lugs 18,21 have deflector or
Inclined surfaces 23 and 24, respectively. At the free longitudinal edge of the side wall 14, a projection 25 is finally formed which, when the channel is closed, together with the end region of the outer surface of the side wall 13, as shown in Fig. 2 Darge, forms a gap 26 into which a tool , to the
Example of a screwdriver blade 27, can be intervened in order to release the locking lugs 18, 21 from one another again and to be able to open the channel 10.
The fastening strip 12 has a wall thickness increasing towards its center and in the middle a longitudinal furrow or groove 28, the purpose of which is also yet to be described
ben will be.
It should be noted that the profile 11, which is ready for assembly, has the cross-sectional shape that appears in FIG. 1, that is, with side walls 13, 14 diverging away from each other from the fastening strip 12, so that between their free longitudinal edges a extending over the entire length of the profile 11 and the access to the channel cavity 17 enabling opening 29 remains free.
The assembly and laying of the lines in the installation duct shown is very easy. Correspondingly long sections of the profile 11 are attached along the straight sections of the intended course of the line. This is usually done on room walls or ceilings, that is, the profile 11 appears rotated by 90 "or 1800 compared to the representation in FIG. 1. To fasten the relevant section of the profile 11 on the wall, a drilling tool is used a hole is drilled into the wall or ceiling through the fastening strip 12 (the groove 28 serves to guide the drill bit), whereupon the profile 11 is screwed tight, for example by means of screws 30. The screw heads are accessible through the opening 29.
If the profile sections are fastened along the desired course of the line, the cable lines 31 to be laid, in particular Tdc cables, can be inserted into the duct cavity 17 through the openings 29, with the rib 20 forming a kind of barbs and the falling out of the inserted cables 31 prevents or at least inhibits when the channel 10 is still open. Where the line has a bend, the cables exposed in the bend are bent over accordingly. The side walls 13, 14 are then pressed against one another by hand until the latching lugs 18, 21 engage behind one another, the latching of the latching lugs being promoted by the interaction of the inclined surfaces 23, 24. The bending elasticity of the profile 11 ensures that the latching lugs 18, 21 remain in engagement with one another.
If the wiring harness led by the cable duct 10 is to be supplemented at a later point in time, or if a wiring is to be replaced, the cable duct 10 can, as already described, be opened again with ease, whereby it is only necessary to detach the locking lugs from one another . The profile then jumps into its open position.
In the embodiment of FIG. 3, functionally corresponding parts are given the same reference numerals as in FIGS. 1 and 2. The most noticeable difference between the two design variants is that, in FIG. 1, the cross section of the channel cavity 17 is essentially circular when the channel is closed. Instead of the rib 20, as indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 3, a tab 32, for example, can be formed on the free edge of the side wall 13 following the locking lug 18, which thanks to its considerably smaller wall thickness compared to that of the side walls 13, 14 can easily be pushed through when the cable line is inserted and yet has sufficient inherent rigidity to prevent the lines from falling out during ceiling installation as long as the duct is not closed.
While in the illustrated embodiment variants the cross section of the profile 11 is essentially mirror-symmetrical to the longitudinal center plane of the channel, it goes without saying that this need not be the case. For example, the cross section of one side wall can be approximately L-shaped, but that of the other only L-shaped, so that the locking elements come to lie in the area of a corner or edge of the profile 11 enveloping the channel cavity 17.
