Abstract

The prime mover is designed to be driven by a medium, typically wind, and has a vertical shaft (7) equipped with a support with stops on which vertical shutters pivot. Some of the shutters assume a position to suit the flow direction of the medium, while others are forced by it against the stops, thus imparting a rotary movement to the shaft. The support can be formed by pairs of radial arms, between which the shutters pivot, each pair carrying two shutters, which can be so mounted that they can only swing to one side of the radial plane formed by the pair of arms. One set of arms can be mounted halfway up the shaft.

   La présente invention a pour objet une machine motrice, entraînée par un fluide pouvant être de   l'air    ou un liquide, qui est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend un arbre vertical, muni d'un support à butées, auquel sont pivotés des volets mobiles verticaux, le tout étant agencé de façon qu'une partie des volets soit placée selon la direction du fluide, et l'autre soit plaquée contre les butées, pour donner une poussée rotative à l'arbre.



   Des formes d'exécution de la machine, objet de l'invention, seront décrites, à titre d'exemple, en se référant aux dessins annexés, dans lesquels,
 la fig. 1 est une vue en plan schématique de la premiére forme d'exécution,
 la fig. 2 est une vue en élévation, et
 la fig. 3 est une vue en élévation de la seconde forme d'exécution.



   La machine motrice, représentée sous forme d'une éolienne, comprend selon la fig. 3 et 2 deux pieds 1, 2, supportant la charpente métallique générale 3, formant un grand rectangle rigide, vertical, qui sera tenu aux deux points extrêmes dans sa partie supérieure, par des câbles tendus 4, 5.



   A l'intérieur de ce rectangle, sera fixée sur la traverse inférieure la boîte mécanique   d'où    dépassera la plate-forme de l'axe tournant 6, sur laquelle sera boulonné l'arbre de l'éolienne 7. Le sommet de l'arbre sera fixé sur roulement 8 à la traverse supérieure de la charpente générale.



   Au haut et au bas de l'arbre, s'étendront diamétralement, en forme d'étoile, voir fig. 1, 8 supports 9, 10 (8 en haut, 8 en bas), entre lesquels seront placés des volets pivotants 11, qui fonctionneront selon le schéma de la fig. 1.



   Les deux supports correspondants, haut et bas, seront reliés par un montant 12 aux extrémités.



   De plus, toutes les extrémités des deux étoiles seront ceinturées par un câble tendeur, voir fig. 1,   N    13.



   Les volets pourront être en matières   légéres    et solides, telles que le plastique (nid d'abeille), le contre-plaqué imperméabilisé, un genre de sagex durci ou simplement de la toile ou tissu tendu sur cadre mince.



   REVENDICATION



   Machine motrice entraînée par un fluide, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend un arbre vertical muni d'un support à butées auquel sont pivotés des volets mobiles verticaux, le tout étant agencé de façon qu'une partie des volets soit placée selon la direction du fluide, et l'autre soit plaquée contre les butées pour donner une poussée rotative à l'arbre.

 

   SOUS-REVENDICATIONS
 1. Machine selon la revendication, constituant une éolienne, caractérisée en ce que le support est formé par des paires de bras radiaux entre lesquels les volets sont pivotés.



   2. Machine selon la sous-revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que chaque paire de bras supporte deux volets.



   3. Machine selon la sous-revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que les volets sont fixés aux bras de telle façon qu'ils ne peuvent pivoter que d'un côté du plan radial constitué par chaque bras.



   4. Machine selon la revendication constituant une éolienne, caractérisée en ce que le support est formé par des paires de bras radiaux, dont un seul jeu est fixé à la mi-hauteur de l'arbre.
