The invention relates to a self-closing valve for water pipes, in particular for installation in water hoses, between the water connection and consumers such as washing machines, dishwashers, etc. with a valve sealing body with a sealing ring and an associated flow nozzle with a valve sealing seat, the valve sealing body being pressed against the flow direction by means of a compression spring in the open position is. Such a self-closing valve has the task of preventing consequential damage in the event of leaks in the consumer system.
If, for whatever reason, a leak occurs between the self-closing valve and the consumer, the pressure on the consumer side drops, whereby the valve sealing body lowers against the compression spring on the valve sealing seat and thereby automatically closes further water leakage. The previously known self-closing valves are disadvantageous insofar as they only work at a certain flow rate, i. H. respond depending on specific pressure and speed conditions and can therefore only be used to a limited extent. In particular, function-disruptive and noise-annoying flutter phenomena often occur with regard to the valve sealing body. The invention aims to avoid these disadvantages.
The invention is based on the object of creating a self-closing valve for water pipes, in particular for installation in water hoses between the water connection and consumer, which is particularly sensitive, can be easily adjusted to different flow rates and is free from fluttering.
This object is achieved by the invention in that the valve sealing body has a guide piston with a piston ring which is arranged at a fixed distance from the sealing ring in the direction of flow and which is inserted into the flow channel of the flow connection via a transition cone when the valve is closed, the valve sealing body and the flow connection in their mutual position are adjustable. These measures of the invention have the consequence that in the course of the closing movement of the valve sealing body, the guide piston first rests against the transition cone and is then transferred into the flow channel before the sealing ring on the valve sealing body works against the valve sealing seat assigned to it on the flow nozzle.
The guide piston therefore not only assumes a leading sealing function, but also a guiding function in the manner of a piston, whereby uncontrolled movements of the valve sealing body are excluded. In addition, increased sensitivity is achieved when responding through the formation of an annular gap and continuous change in the annular gap between the guide piston and the transition cone, depending on the respective flow rate or the corresponding pressure and speed conditions. Furthermore, an adjustment of the annular gap and consequently the flow cross-section is possible by simply adjusting the position of the valve sealing body and flow connector in relation to one another.
In a further development of the invention, the outer diameter of the piston ring can correspond to the inner diameter of the flow channel in order to ensure perfect contact and extensive sealing at this point. The sealing ring and piston ring are preferably arranged at such a distance from one another that the piston ring is already located in the flow channel when the sealing ring rests on the valve sealing seat. In order to achieve an increased nestling of the guide piston on the inner wall of the flow channel, according to a preferred embodiment, the valve sealing body and the guide pin are made of flexible plastic and are, for. B. injection molded as a unit. The flow connection can carry a graduated ring surrounding the valve housing.
In this case, the self-closing valve can be set particularly easily to the respective flow rate, which changes with the type and size of the consumer, using a table from which the scale values to be set can easily be taken. In order to prevent an independent adjustment of the flow connection, this can preferably be a locking device, for. B. be assigned a locking screw mounted in the valve housing.
In addition, a sealing ring, for. B. O-ring arranged. Finally, in an advantageous embodiment, the valve housing has an internal thread and the adjusting ring and the flow connection have an external thread for adjustment by screwing movement.
The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that a self-closing valve for water pipes, in particular for installation in water hoses between the water connection and consumers such as washing machines, dishwashers, etc. is realized, which on the one hand, due to the design of the valve sealing body with the guide piston and the associated Transition cone ensures a sensitive response, and on the other hand enables the flow cross-section to be changed by adjusting the valve sealing body relative to the flow nozzle.
It must be taken into account that the flow rate only changes regularly depending on the consumer concerned, so that the setting of the self-closing valve to the flow rate depending on the consumer used in each case is compensated for by the design of the valve sealing body with guide piston and associated transition cone. In addition, due to the guide piston penetrating into the flow channel in the course of the closing movement of the valve sealing body, any function-disruptive and noise-annoying flutter movement of the valve sealing body is switched off. As a result, the self-closing valve according to the invention can be used with any type of consumer and closes with certainty immediately in the event of leaks occurring between the valve and the consumer.
At the same time, a relatively simple and functionally appropriate construction is implemented.
In the following the invention is explained in more detail with reference to a drawing showing only one embodiment; show it:
1 shows an axial section through a self-closing valve according to the invention,
FIG. 2 shows an external view of the object according to FIG. 1.
In the figures, a self-closing valve for water pipes, in particular for installation in water hoses between the water connection and consumers such as washing machines, dishwashers, etc. is shown. The basic structure of this self-closing valve consists of a valve sealing body 2 with a sealing ring 3 and an associated flow port 4 with a valve sealing seat 5, the valve sealing body 2 being pressed against the flow direction by means of a compression spring 6 in the open position. Only when the pressure difference is sufficiently high, namely when there is a pressure drop on the consumer side as a result of leakage in the water hose leading to the consumer, the valve sealing body 2 contacts the valve sealing seat 5 with its sealing ring 3 compressing the compression spring 6.
The valve sealing body 2 has a guide piston 7 with a piston ring 10 which is arranged at a fixed distance A from the sealing ring 3 in the direction of flow and which, when the valve is closed, is inserted into the flow channel 9 of the flow nozzle 4 via a transition cone 8, the valve sealing body 2 and the flow nozzle 4 are adjustable in their mutual position. The outside diameter da of the piston ring 10 corresponds to the inside diameter di of the flow channel. Sealing ring 3 and piston ring 10 are arranged at such a distance A from one another that the piston ring 10 is located in the flow channel 9 when the sealing ring 3 rests on the valve sealing seat 5 and seals there with guiding properties. The valve body 2 and the guide piston 7 are made of flexible plastic, are z.
B. injection molded as a unit. The flow connection 4 carries a graduated ring 11 surrounding the valve housing 1.
It is a locking device 12, for. B. assigned a locking screw mounted in the valve housing 1. In addition, a sealing ring 13, for. B. O-ring arranged. The valve housing 1 has an internal thread 14, while the flow connection 4 has an external thread 15 for adjustment by screwing movement.
