La présente invention concerne un instrument d'électromoxibustion-acupuncture qui met en oeuvre le principe de la moxibustion ainsi que celui de l'acupuncture qui ont été pratiquées depuis des temps trés reculés au Japon et en Chine. L'instrument, objet de l'invention, comprend, comme éléments essentiels, deux unités de moxibustion-acupuncture qui sont agencées de manière à pouvoir être chauffées et maintenues à une température appropriée, et à être animées d'un mouvement régulier de vaet-vient à l'intérieur d'une zone déterminée sur le corps humain en vue de masser des muscles et, d'autre part, de façon que les roues dentées chauffées des unités de moxibustion-acupuncture transmettent à la peau des stimulations sensiblement équivalentes à celles qui sont produites par l'acupuncture aussi bien que par la moxibustion,
ces stimulations agissant sur le systéme nerveux autonome qui commande les organes internes en vue d'activer les cellules.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'instrument, objet de l'invention.

Sur la fig. 1, le boîtier 1 de l'instrument (ci-après désigné par le terme boîtier ), peut être moulé en matière plastique ou en un matériau similaire. Le fond 2 du boîtier I comporte deux rainures 3, 3 à travers lesquelles deux leviers 5, S font saillie à l'exte- rieur du fond 2. Ces leviers 5, 5 s'étendent depuis un organe de commande à moteur (non représenté sur le dessin) et portent une unité de moxibustion-acupuncture 4 à leur extrémité libre. Ces leviers 5, 5 sont agencés de manière à effectuer un mouvement alternatif dans deux directions, comme indiqué par les flèches B et
C de manière à se rapprocher et à s'éloigner l'un de l'autre sous l'action de l'élément de commande.
L'instrument de moxibustionacupuncture porte deux unités de moxibustion-acupuncture 4, 4 qui sont reliées par les leviers creux 5, 5 à l'élément de commande à l'intérieur du boîtier. Chaque unité 4 comporte une enveloppe de chauffage 7, comme indiqué sur les fig. 2 et 3, et à l'intérieur de laquelle est agencé un élément chauffant 6, trois roues étoilées 8 étant montées à rotation et juxtaposées sur un axe commun à la partie inférieure de l'enveloppe 7. L'élément chauffant 6 est électriquement connecté par un conducteur 10 à la partie intérieure du boîtier et il est maintenu en place dans l'enveloppe 7 par une garniture isolante 9. Le boîtier comporte, en outre, un cordon d'alimentation 11 et un interrupteur 12, comme indiqué sur la fig. 1.
Le fonctionnement de l'instrument qui vient d'être décrit est le suivant:
le boîtier I sera tenu en main par la poignée 14. Une fois que l'alimentation en électricité est assurée par actionnement de l'interrupteur 12, I'instrument peut être appliqué à toute partie malade par l'intermédiaire des deux unités de moxibustionacupuncture 4, 4 de manière que la paire d'unités saisisse la partie malade entre elles, alors que, d'autre part, la paire de leviers de commande 5, 5 portant à leurs extrémités inférieures les unités de moxibustion-acupuncture 4, 4, seront animés d'un mouvement alternatif sous l'effet de la rotation d'un moteur, de manière que les deux leviers se rapprochent et s'éloignent l'un de l'autre, et que, par conséquent, les roues étoilées 8 montées sur l'enveloppe 7 et chauffées par l'élément chauffant 6 assurent un massage des muscles alors que,
en même temps, les pointes 13 des roues étoilées 8 stimulent la partie malade. Ainsi, un effet plus efficace de moxibustion et d'acupuncture peut être obtenu grâce à un massage approprié et à une stimulation thermique en une seule opération, alors qu'un instrument électrique du type connu jusqu'à présent n'aurait accompli qu'un simple massage des muscles.
L'interrupteur 12 permet de varier la puissance de l'élément chauffant 6 de sorte que la pénétration thermique assurée par les roues étoilées peut être ajustée de manière appropriée à l'état de la maladie.
REVENDICATION
Instrument d'électro-moxibustion-acupuncture, caractérisé par un boîtier (1) contenant un organe de commande à moteur comprenant une paire de leviers creux (5,5) qui font saillie à travers le fond (2) du boîtier (1), les leviers (5, 5) étant agencés de manière à être animés d'un mouvement alternatif ayant pour effet de les rapprocher et de les écarter l'un de l'autre, chacun des leviers (5, 5) comportant à son extrémité libre une unité de moxibustion-acupuncture (4) qui se compose d'une enveloppe de chauffage (7) à l'intérieur de laquelle est disposé un élément chauffant (6) et une pluralité de roues étoilées (8) montées à rotation et juxtaposées sur un axe monté sur l'enveloppe de chauffage (7).

In fig. 1, the instrument housing 1 (hereinafter referred to as the housing), may be molded from plastic or similar material. The moxibustionacupuncture instrument carries two moxibustion-acupuncture units 4, 4 which are connected by the hollow levers 5, 5 to the control element inside the housing. Each unit 4 has a heating jacket 7, as shown in fig. 2 and 3, and inside which is arranged a heating element 6, three star wheels 8 being rotatably mounted and juxtaposed on an axis common to the lower part of the casing 7. The heating element 6 is electrically connected by a conductor 10 to the inner part of the housing and it is held in place in the casing 7 by an insulating gasket 9. The housing further comprises a power cord 11 and a switch 12, as shown in FIG. . 1.
The operation of the instrument which has just been described is as follows:

Electro-moxibustion-acupuncture instrument, characterized by a housing (1) containing a motor control member comprising a pair of hollow levers (5,5) which protrude through the bottom (2) of the housing (1), the levers (5, 5) being arranged so as to be driven by a reciprocating movement having the effect of bringing them closer and apart from one another, each of the levers (5, 5) comprising at its free end a moxibustion-acupuncture unit (4) which consists of a heating envelope (7) inside which is arranged a heating element (6) and a plurality of star wheels (8) rotatably mounted and juxtaposed on an axis mounted on the heating jacket (7).
