Fig. 1 das vorgeschlagene Sicherheitsventil in Null Stellung zeigt.
Safety valve for pressure medium operated devices
The main patent relates to a safety valve for pressure medium-operated devices, in particular brakes or clutches with a connection opening leading to the pressure medium-operated device and a return opening, also with two separate, parallel-connected three-way switching valves arranged in an axis, through which the The supply and discharge of the pressure medium can be controlled, and which can be actuated by electromagnetically triggered pilot valves, furthermore with a pressure compensator for switching off the device in the event of malfunctions or incorrect switching of one of the switching valves or the pilot valves.
The safety valve has between the connection or opening leading to the pressure medium-operated device an at least approximately straight through-channel which can be closed by the working pistons of the two switching valves towards the return opening.
A special embodiment of this safety valve is that each working piston is provided in the longitudinal direction with a continuous bore through which the pressure medium can be fed from the pilot control valves to the passage duct.
Since the cross-section of the pilot control to apply the brake or clutch of the consumer is not always sufficient for larger filling volumes, it was proposed in the main patent to use a through valve with a correspondingly larger cross-section, which is actuated by an auxiliary piston which is controlled by one of the pilot valves.
The invention is based on the object of creating a safety valve of the type mentioned at the outset which, even with a larger filling volume, manages without an additional passage valve and works reliably and safely.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that each of the working pistons is provided with at least one recess in its outer circumferential surface, which is directly connected to the supply line for the pressure medium and through which the pressure medium can be fed from the supply channel to the through-channel.
In one embodiment, the recess can be designed in the form of several channels, which extend parallel to the central axis of the working piston over part of its outer surface. The channels can in longitudinal section z. B. be formed as a segment of a circle.
Their cross-section can be rectangular.
It is advantageous to make the diameter of the part of the working piston located outward of the channels larger than that of the part located inward of the channels in order to push the working piston outward into the zero position when the pilot valves are closed.
An example embodiment is explained below with reference to the drawing, in which
Fig. 1 shows the proposed safety valve in the zero position.
FIG. 2 is a section along the line II-II of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 shows the valve of FIG. 1 in the switching position.
FIG. 4 is a section along the line IV-IV of FIG. 3.
The safety valve 10 consists of a housing 12 in which two working pistons 14 and 16 are movably arranged. The two pistons lie in one axis and can be moved towards and away from one another.
The valve is provided with a connection opening 40 which z. B. leads to the working cylinder of the clutch or brake of a press. It also has a return opening 42 through which the pressure medium can flow out without pressure.
The two openings 40 and 42 are connected to one another by a straight or at least approximately straight through channel 44.
The part of the passage 44 leading to the return opening 42 is provided with two slots 48 and 50 which, in the switching position of the safety valve, are correspondingly closed by the working pistons 14 and 16, while they are open in the zero position.
The rear sides of the working pistons 14, 16 are connected via channels 74, 72 with pilot valves 54, 56 (FIG. 3), which have valve seats 58, 60. The valve seats 58 and 60 of the two pilot valves are connected via inlet channels 62, 64, 66 to a device, not shown, for supplying the pressure medium. The two pilot valves are z. B.
electromagnetically controlled.
The safety valve 10 is also equipped with a safety device in the form of a so-called pressure compensator 80, which is accommodated in the housing 12. The pressure compensator is connected via ducts 92 and 94 to ducts 74 and 72 coming from the pilot control valves, while it is connected via ducts 96 and 98 to the space between the inner ends of the working pistons. The channels 96 and 98 open into the valve seats of the working pistons 14 and 16.
The working pistons 14 and 16 are now, as the figures show, in their outer peripheral surface each with z. B. four channels 140 and 142, which run parallel to the axis of symmetry of the respective piston and over part of its length and z. B.
are offset by 90 on the circumference. The longitudinal section of the channels 140, 142 can, for example, be in the shape of a segment of a circle, as shown in the drawing.
In the zero position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the pilot valves 54 and 56 are closed. The channels 140 and 142 of the two pistons are directly connected via openings 160, 162 and ring channels 161, 163 in the housing 12, and also via the channels 64 and 66 with the inlet channel 62 through which the pressure medium is supplied. Seals 156 and 158 seated in housing 12, however, prevent the pressure medium from passing through channels 140 and 142 into through-channel 44 in the zero position. Seals 156 and 158 cooperate accordingly with parts 148 and 150 of working pistons 14 and 16 . To the outside of the channels 72 and 74, which come from the pilot valves, the channels 140 and 142 are sealed with the aid of seals 152, 154, which are seated in the parts 144 or the working piston.
If the pilot valves 54 and 56 are operated, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the pressure medium flows through the valve seats 60 and 58 into the channels 72 and 74 and acts on the outer end faces of the working pistons 14 and 16, thereby opening the slots 48 and 50, which lead to the return port 42, are closed.
The channels 140, 142 are in this position; H.
the switching position, no longer closed against the passage 44, which leads to the consumer.
The pressure medium flows through the inlet duct 62, the ducts 64 and 66, the openings 160 and 162, and through the ring ducts 161, 163 into the ducts 140, 142 and out of these through the openings 164, 166 (FIG. 4) have the form of ring-shaped gaps, into the through-channel 44 and from there to the consumer, suitably housings 12 ring-channel-shaped recesses 168, 170 (Fig. 4) are provided for this purpose, through which the pressure medium emerging from the ring gaps 164, 166 is directed to the consumer side.
As the figures show, the diameter of the parts 144 and 146 of the working pistons lying outward of the channels 140 and 142 is greater than the diameter of the parts 148 and 150 of the working pistons lying inward of the channels.
This creates a pressure difference through which, when the pilot valves are switched off, the two working pistons 14 and 16 are pushed back from their switching position shown in FIG. 3 into their zero position shown in FIG.
