Process for the odor-free removal of waste water and / or
Sludge and equipment for carrying out the process
The main patent relates to a method for the odor-free removal of waste water and / or sludge, whereby the waste water and / or sludge is first thickened in an evaporation device to form a thick sludge and this is then dried in a drying oven and then the dried sludge particles are separated. The main patent also relates to a system for carrying out the process, which has an evaporation device and a downstream drying oven with a subsequent particle separator.
It has now been found in practice that it can be very advantageous to operate the process and the plant discontinuously. However, the devices proposed in the main patent are less suitable for this, since the centrifugal atomizers used there allow only a slight fluctuation in the level in the container.
The purpose of the invention is now to design the method and the system of the main patent in such a way that they also enable discontinuous operation.
Accordingly, the subject matter of the invention is: a) a method for the odor-free removal of waste water and / or sludge, which is characterized in that the method is carried out discontinuously; and b) a system for carrying out the method, which is characterized in that the evaporation device is designed to accommodate changing wastewater or sludge quantities.
You can now run such a system in 5-day operation, for example, and collect the waste water and / or sludge that occurs during the remaining days of the week in order to then feed it back to the system at the start of operation. The evaporation device can then be used with its entire capacity.
Embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings, which show:
1 shows a drying system with an evaporation device which has a floating centrifugal atomizer; and
2 shows a second drying system, the evaporation device of which has an agitator and at least one injector.
1 now shows a drying system in which the waste water coming from a stable, for example, is conveyed to an evaporation device 5 via the line 4 ′. The latter has an evaporation container 6 in which a rotary atomizer 7 is provided as a ventilation and circulation device. So that this centrifugal atomizer can adapt to the evaporation container 6 with no different degrees of filling, it is equipped with a Schwinin device 31.
The rotary atomizer 7 thus always maintains its exact height with regard to the level of the contents, regardless of how far the evaporation hardener 6 is filled
The thickened sewage sludge is withdrawn from the evaporation device 5 by means of a pump 10 and fed to the drying furnace 11 with a subsequent separating device 12 for the dried sludge particles. The thickened sewage sludge cannot be introduced directly into the drying oven. Rather, it should first be applied to a carrier substance and mixed with it, so that a crumbly mass with a relatively large surface area is created. Absorbent, dry substances such as ash, sawdust or the like can serve as the carrier substance.
In the present example, preferably already dried sludge particles are branched off at the separating device 12 and returned to the drying oven in the circuit as a carrier substance. The thickened sewage sludge is now fed into a mixing screw 13, in which it is mixed with the already dried, circulated sludge particles. The crumbly mass is introduced into the drying oven 11, which is designed as a rotary kiln, via a feed device 14.
The rotary kiln is heated with oil, for example, with the hot flame gases passing through the kiln while crumbly material is continuously introduced from the side. As a result of the high lamb speed, the flame gases immediately drag the moist goods in with them and dry them on the fly. The mass introduced must not adhere to the walls of the rotary kiln, since such a process leads to partial combustion, which in turn would generate considerable unpleasant odors. To avoid this undesirable effect, the aforementioned mixing of the thickened sewage sludge with the carrier substances is necessary.
If this were not the case, the thickened sewage pipe particles, which are not provided with carrier substances, would have too small a surface area for the short-term
To completely evaporate passage through the rotary kiln.
The off-gases with the dried sludge particles are fed to the separator 12, which is designed as a cyclone. This is where the dried sludge particles are separated from the
Exhaust. Part of the dry material is now bagged and can be sold as finished fertilizer, while another part of the dry material is returned to the drying oven and serves as a carrier substance for the fresh, thickened sewage sludge, as already mentioned above. For this purpose, the dry material is conveyed from the separating device 12 by means of a conveying device 15 into a silo 16, as shown in FIG. 1. From this silo, the material to be dried is sacked on the one hand, as mentioned, and on the other hand is returned to the drying oven 11 in a cycle.
The hot gases emerging from the cyclone 12 are fed via a line 17 to an injector 22, which cooperates directly with the waste water from the container 6 Verdunstbe. It thus occurs a immediacy re heating and ventilation of the waste water in the Ver evaporation container 6. For this purpose, the outlet opening of the injector 22 opens out above the surface of the container contents of the evaporation container 6. Simultaneously, the waste water is removed from the via a pump 27
Evaporation container 6 withdrawn and fed back to injector 22.
FIG. 2 shows a further drying system which is designed essentially analogously to the drying system in FIG. In this case, however, the rotary atomizer 7 is replaced by an agitator 32 which extends down to the bottom of the evaporation container 6. The drive of the agitator is above the maximum possible filling level of the evaporation tank.
This agitator ensures that the contents of the evaporation tank are intensively circulated.
At least one injector 34, which is arranged inside the container contents, serves to ventilate the container contents. The injector is operated with waste water from the container by means of a pump 33. For the air inlet, a raised suction pipe 35 is provided, which protrudes over the container edge. The underwater injector 34 ensures such an intensive mixing of the container contents with air that the effect of the centrifugal atomizer 7 of the embodiment of FIG. 1 is achieved. The container of the evaporation device of FIG. 2 can also be operated with a fluctuating degree of filling without disadvantages.
The mode of operation of the system in FIG. 2 otherwise corresponds to the mode of operation of the system according to FIG. 1.
