Fehlerstromschutzschalter
Fig. 1 zeigt schematisch die wesentlichsten Teile reines Fehlerstromschutzschahers.

Residual current circuit breaker
Residual current circuit breakers must be secured against overload. Fuses are usually connected upstream for this purpose, but embodiments are also known which are also designed as circuit breakers. This latter type, however, is complex and expensive.
With the intention of protecting the switch only against long-term overloading, the simplest and cheapest possible solution was sought. According to the regulations for residual current circuit breakers, these must be provided with a test button which, when actuated, closes the test trigger circuit, which triggers the switch.
It is obvious to install at least one Bijnetall lamella in the switch for overload protection.
According to the invention, this bimetallic lamella also closes the test circuit in the event of an overload, whereby the switch is also triggered.
In the accompanying drawings, some possibilities are given as examples for carrying out the invention. Fig. 1 shows schematically the most essential parts of a pure residual current device. The test circuit 3 and the test button 4 are of particular importance. The bimetal 1 (a single lamella or several lamellas on top of each other) bends to the left when it is heated and finally touches contact 2. This closes the test circuit, just like button 4, and the switch trips and its own Contacts open.
In FIG. 2, instead of a separate contact 2, a bimetal package 1 is shown, which presses the test button 4 directly when it is heated, and thus closes the contacts of the test button.
Another possibility is shown in Fig. 3: The bimetal lamella 1 forms part of the contact, which is also actuated by the test button 4: When the button 4 is pressed, the lamella 1 is bent so that the contact closes. Instead of bending the lamella itself, it could also be attached to a flexible part 5.
Many other variants are possible that are not described here.
The bimetal lamella is heated by the heat prevailing in the switch housing. In the event of an overload, the temperature in the housing rises, which means that the lamellae also bend. Of course, the slat can also be switched on in the operating circuit, i. H. be connected in series with the switch contacts (e.g. in the arrangement according to FIG. 2).
If the switch is overloaded, however, it will then heat up more quickly and trigger more quickly.
PATENT CLAIM
Residual current circuit breaker with test trigger circuit operated by a test button via a closing contact and additional overload triggering by means of at least one bimetal lamella, characterized in that if the switch is overloaded, the bimetal lamella (1) closes the test current circuit (3), whereby the switch is triggered and switches off.
SUBCLAIMS
1. Residual current circuit breaker according to claim, characterized in that when a certain temperature is reached, the bimetal lamella closes a contact (2) in the test circuit (3).
2. Residual current circuit breaker according to claim, characterized in that when a certain temperature is reached, the bimetallic slat actuates the test button (4) and thus closes the test circuit (3).
3. Residual current circuit breaker according to claim, characterized in that the bimetal lamella is heated by the heat in the switch housing.
4. Residual current circuit breaker according to claim and dependent claim 3, characterized in that the switch current flows through the bimetal lamella and is consequently also heated by the operating current.
