Dans le but d'augmenter la stabilité de cs dérivés des acides dithiocarbamiques et d'accroître multanément leur efficacité antifongique, on a pro .sé de les associer ou de les combiner entre eux ;
'est ainsi. par exemple, que dans le cas du manèbe et u zinèbe, on a préconisé soit de simples mélanges phy- ques (brevet américain N <B>2861091</B> du 5 avril 1957) ,it des sels mixtes de zinc et de manganèse (brevet néricain N@, 3082239 du 24 septembre<B>1959</B> et brevet ançais N, l363929 du 12 mars 1963)

The present invention relates to a process for obtaining novel compositions based on ethylene bis-ithiocarbamates of manganese and zinc or of cad-iiutn.
It has been known for a very long time that many metal thylene bis-dithiocarbamates, such as those of copper (cuprèbe), of manganese maneb), of zinc (zineb) have excellent fungicidal characteristics (French patent N 9- 1899l of July 1947).
With the aim of increasing the stability of cs derived from dithiocarbamic acids and simultaneously increasing their antifungal efficacy, it has been proposed to combine or combine them;
'is so. for example, that in the case of maneb and zineb, it was recommended either simple physical mixtures (American patent N <B> 2861091 </B> of April 5, 1957), or mixed salts of zinc and manganese (American patent N @, 3082239 of September 24, <B> 1959 </B> and French patent N, l363929 of March 12, 1963)
or even maneb complex #ls containing zinc (French patent N-1326689 of May 7, 1962) </B> or manganese and zinc ethylene bis-ithiocarbamates obtained by reaction (French patent N-1352117 of May 9, l962).
All these already known compounds or complexes of zinc and maninese, of generally fairly defined structure, were obtained according to one or other of the following operating methods:
contacting a water-soluble zinc salt with an aqueous slurry of anebea or co-reaction between a mixture of salts, dissolved in water, of zinc and manganese and a killer solution of ethylene bis- alkali dithiocarbamate, the mixing phase - which generally takes place at dinar temperature - being naturally followed by the basic operations of filtration, washing and drying of the precipitates) required.
<B> It </B> has now been found that can be obtained. <B> 1 </B> by covering a simple process, different from those already described above, an ethylene bis-dithiocarbamate containing manganese and zinc (or cad mium) ions, the structure and composition of which do not correspond to those of mixtures, mixed salts and co-reaction product already known.
The compounds obtained according to the invention are in the form of manganese ethylene bis-dithiocarbamate, the elementary grains of which are coated with a film of zinc ethylene bis-dithiocarbanate or cadmium ethylene bis-dithiocarbamate. They will be called, in the remainder of the description, t @ manèbes enro bés.
The process for obtaining these coated manèbts consists in precipitating <I> in </I> situ on the maneb, prepared in advance in the form of an aqueous suspension or paste of ethylene bis-dithiocarbanate of zinc or of cad mium, by reaction of sodium ethylene bis-dithiocarbamate (or: sodium dithane) and zinc or cadmium derivatives soluble in water.
A particularly advantageous procedure consists in introducing simultaneously, into a reaction vessel, on the one hand the aqueous solution of sodium dithane, on the other hand the aqueous maneb paste, to which a zinc or cadmium salt soluble in water has been added. 'water. However, it is also possible to directly introduce sodium dithane into the aqueous maneb paste to which zinc (or cadmium) salt has been added and placed in the reactor or vice versa.
It is also possible to bring the sodium dithane into contact with the maneb and then to incorporate the aqueous solution of zinc salt (oit cadmium).
In practice, the mixture of maneb and the aforementioned reagents is carried out with stirring, at ordinary pressure and temperature, the latter generally being between 10 and 50 "<B> <I> C </I> </ B >.
The respective proportions of sodium dithane and of zinc or cadmium salts, with each other and with respect to the quantity of maneb used can vary between wide limits. It can be said, first of all, that the proportion of zinc or cadmium salt, in water-soluble form - such as chlorides or sulphates, for example - must be close to stachiometry or in slight excess, in particular up to <B> 5%, </B> relative to the proportion of sodium dithane introduced. In other words, 1 to 1.05 moles of salt (calculated as Zn or Cd ions) are used per 1 mole of sodium ethylene bis-dithiocarbamate.
Furthermore, the molar ratios between sodium dithane - or what amounts to the same ethylene bis-dithiocarbamate of zinc or cadmium formed during the reaction - and maneb, can be respectively between <B> 0.01 / 1 </B> and 9! 1 and most generally between 0.05 / 1 and 1 / l.
The following example shows how the invention can be put into practice. Example In an aqueous suspension which contained 10% by weight of maneb (prepared according to any one of the known processes), which was equivalent to 2.60 moles of manganese ethylene bis-dithiocarbamate, was introduced with continuous stirring , at a temperature between 10 and 250 C at a pH between 3.5 and 7, an aqueous solution of zinc chloride containing 1.73 moles of Zn CIE,
simultaneously with an aqueous solution containing mant 1.70 moles of ethylene bis-dithiocarbamate of sodium. The reaction mass was then filtered, then washed several times with water. It was found that the washings did not contain any significant traces of zinc and manganese ions or of ethylene bis-dithiocarbamic acid. After drying on a drum to a residual moisture content of 0.5% water,
a product was obtained which analysis showed that it was a maneb coated with zineb, the structure of which was totally different from simple physical mixtures as well as from products containing manganese and zinc ions bound together between them by ethylene bis-dithiocarbamic acid radicals.
The coated maneb was very stable and did not ignite, even at temperatures above 100 ^ C (whereas the maneb alone, at 0.5% water, ignites spontaneously from 6U-C). In addition,
it has been possible to determine that the fungicidal activity of this product - and in particular the efficacy against Phytophthora infectans - being superior to that of stabilized manebs, obtained by simple mixing or co-precipitation of maneb and zinc salts. Finally, this coated maneb, with the addition of iron ferrocyanide (or Prussian blue) made it possible to obtain a homogeneous product which was very easy to store.
