Closing device for openings provided in walls such as doors, windows, partitions and the like. The invention relates to a closing device for openings such as doors, windows, partition walls and the like provided in walls, with post frames and slide rails for guiding vertical leaves and with an elastic stop for the closed position of the hinged wings.
It is known that in the field of house construction there is a need for locking devices which take up the smallest possible space during the opening and closing movements of their parts and which make the best possible use of the small space available.
It is the object of the invention to show a solution in this particular technical field, as it has long been desired, but has not yet been achieved in a satisfactory manner. This object is achieved according to the invention with a locking device of the specified type, which is characterized in that the vertical wings are arranged laterally offset from one another and the hinge point between the wings is offset laterally at least with respect to one of the wings and removed from the free end of this wing is arranged.
The locking device according to the invention is explained in more detail using the drawing, which contains only one Ausführungsbei game of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows the locking device from the front in a view, Fig. 2 shows a vertical section, Fig. 3 shows, on an enlarged scale, a perspective view of the individual parts of the articulation between the fastening means with a hinge, which is shown in an exploded arrangement and Fig .4 and 5 show a cross section through the locking device in the open and closed position of the wings. In the figures, in particular FIGS. 4 and 5, the door 1 delimited by the posts 2 and 2a is shown.
Each of the posts 2 and 2a has a joint 3 and 3a, respectively. The locking device is formed by two wings 4 and 5, which are arranged parallel, partially overlapping one another and connected to one another in a hinge-like manner about a vertical axis 6 lying in one plane with the wing 5.
The wing 4 is hinged with its end opposite the end of the wing 5 when the door 1 is in the closed position (FIG. 4) in the joint 3 so that it can rotate about a vertical axis 7.
The end of the wing 5 is arranged in the joint 3a in this position.
The wing 5 is provided in the middle part at the upper end or on the upper horizontal side with a slider or pin 8 which is slidably arranged in the guide 9 in the lintel (Figs. 1 and 2). At the end of the wing 5 elastic pieces 10 are provided.
In a modified embodiment, the wing 5 has an angle 5 'on its upper part (FIG. 4). When the door is closed, this angle 5 'interacts with an elastic piece 10' which projects downward from the lintel. This elastic piece 10 'is used as a replacement for the elastic piece 10, the exact dimensions of the opening not needing to be taken into account so precisely when the locking device is attached. In fact, the elastic Pfo most of the locking device can be adjusted by suitable arrangement of the angle 5 'on the wing 5 or the elastic piece 10' on the lintel.
In Fig. 3 the articulated connection between the wings 4 and 5 is formed by a plurality of seats 11, which are preferably made by drilling holes. Fork pieces 12 are inserted into these bores and have fastening sections 13 which engage in holes 14 on the bottom of the seats 11. Holders 17 are connected to the forks 12 by means of pins 15 inserted rotatably in bores 16 of the forks 12, the holders 17 being rotatable about the pins 15 passed through their bores 18. As can be seen from FIG. 4, the holders 17 are connected to the wing 4 by screws 19, the heads 20 of which can be seen as molded parts on the front side of the locking device.
The connection of the wing 4 in the joint 3 of the post 2 is produced by a hinge corresponding to that shown in the drawing with respect to the axis 6. In such a Schliessvorrich device, the axis of the joint 6 lies outside the plane P, which goes through the axis of the joint 7 and a point which is in the contact zone of the wing 5 with the joint 3a. In this way, as a result of the elastic pieces 10 or 10 ', a locking device that snaps in under pressure is created.
When considering the conditions when closing the door it can be seen that the axis of the hinge 6 migrates from one side of the aforementioned plane P to the other side, whereby the wing 5, also if due to the upper sliding connection against the elastic piece 10 or 10 'presses the joint 3a and thus causes it to snap into place.
During the transition from the closed or open position of the door, as shown schematically in FIG. 5, the wing 5 performs a rotating movement, which is indicated by arrows in FIG.
The illustrated embodiment is exemplary only, and it will be apparent that various changes and modifications can be made to the embodiment described above which fall within the scope of the invention. E.g. the transverse dimension of the wing 5 can be enlarged so that it projects beyond the sliding point 8 on the one hand, which is greater than the distance between the sliding point 8 and the axis of the joint 6.
