(Fig. 6 und Fig. 9).
Method and device for the production, filling and sealing of cuboid
Pouch packs with a rectangular cross-section made of heat-sealable material
The invention relates to methods and devices for producing, filling and closing rectangular pouch packs with a rectangular cross-section made of heat-sealable material.
It is known to form filled bags from a filled tube by compressing and welding in zones lying transversely to the longitudinal direction of the tube with paired clamping and welding jaws at intervals which correspond to the later height of the packaging. The tube was usually formed around a round or oval shaped mandrel in order to obtain flat bags that were also equipped with a base that was subsequently pressed on.
In addition, the formation of tetrahedral packings, which are primarily used for liquids, was known in the case of cross-welds running crosswise.
In all of these known methods, the cross welding jaws simultaneously caused the hose to be advanced.
For the production of rectangular pouch packs with a stable base, a pre-fabricated gusseted tube was assumed according to a known method, in which the filling material is pressed through the tube wound on a drum from a central inlet into the packs to be formed.
The method according to the invention consists in that the tube is given a rectangular cross-section by pre-grooving the initial web in the longitudinal direction, then receives transverse embossing in a flat, yet unglued state, and after sealing the tube in the longitudinal direction and after filling in the area of a bag cross-section adapted mandrel when welding and dividing the filled hose in the transverse direction, the hose walls are covered to the full height of the bag to be formed, and after the coverings of the hose walls in the area of the transverse fold lines, flat bottom boundaries are formed with a central closure flap and laterally protruding corner tabs.
The device according to the invention consists in that a tube former is connected to the longitudinal creasing devices of the starting web and a cross-creasing device for the subsequent bottom formation is connected to a deflecting roller of the still unclosed tube, this is followed inside the tube by a mandrel through which the tube is filled, and at the lower end of which a longitudinal sealing device and a feed device connected to the transverse creasing device are arranged, below which transverse welding devices follow, which work together with a stationary guide head for the hose and lower measuring cup halves in such a way that rectangular bottoms are formed at the same time as the transverse sealing seam of the bag is produced.
When using the method and the device according to the invention, a simply built, inexpensive machine is obtained which, with regard to the rectangular cross-section of the bottom fold of the filled bag, operates intermittently and allows very precise cuboid bag manufacture while protecting the bag material and the contents. To increase the performance you can have several device units, such. B. provide 2-4 bag manufacturing and filling units, also in the form of add-on units next to each other.
Further advantages are based on the possibility of a low overall height of the machine. In addition, the inside of the hose can be disinfected and then sterile filling.
The object of the invention is shown in the drawing in an exemplary embodiment, namely shows:

An output paper web 1 is coated on one or both sides in a heat-sealable manner. Instead of such coated paper, you can also use plastic films that allow heat sealing. The paper web roll is used, for example, in a primarily mobile housing 2, which can also be put on wheels. 1 shows an outlet slot 2a in the upper part of the housing 2, under which a longitudinal creasing device consisting, for example, of two rollers 3 and 3a is provided. Instead of such creasing rollers, folding rails can optionally also be provided. The longitudinal grooves 94 are shown, for example, in the folding step 4 of the web. over the slot 2a you can disinfect, for.
B. in the form of a moistening roller o. The like., Spray nozzle o. The like. Provide so that the web 1 is disinfected on the inside and in this state can be fed to a hose former of any configuration in direct connection. This must be designed in such a way that the web is formed into a tube 14 with an as yet unconnected overlap seam 13, which then passes downward via a deflection roller 15 to the processing devices. The deflection roller 15 can be attached to a carrier 16 which is fastened to two columns 17, 18. These are connected to a stand 19 and covered with a transverse plate 20 (FIG. 2).
In Fig. 1 nine folding stages 4-12 are shown where you can z. B. with guide plates 21 and fingers 22, which are located outside, the web gradually forms the tube 14. It also turns out to be possible to fold the hose in the area of the previously incorporated crease lines. A similar shaping can also be achieved with any other folding devices. In the area of the still open hose, i. H. For example, in the folds 4-10, UV radiation can be provided.
The tubular web 14, which is still unconnected at the overlap seam, is guided vertically downward from the deflection roller 15 in order to be provided with cross-grooving or cross-stamping device with cross-grooving, possibly also inclined grooves, the shape of which the later adapted soils to be formed.
This embossing device 24 can, according to FIGS. 1 and 4, consist of a cross member 27 provided with guide sleeves 25 and 26, in which an embossing plate 28 provided with grooves is attached. This works together with the counter-embossing plate 29, which is closed to the outside with a resiliently pressed-on support plate 30. The cover plate 30 with the counter-pressure plate 29 are force-controlled, namely a pressure cylinder 31 can be provided for this purpose, the piston 32 of which the stamping plate 29 on the counter-plate 28 for
Embossing of scoring lines into the flat tube 12.
The cross member 27 is guided on the pillars 17 and 18. These columns 17 and 18 can be mounted on the machine body 33, in which other processing devices are included. Next to it is the housing 2 with the paper rolls.
At the bottom of the transverse embossing device 24 is a shaping mandrel 34 which can be fastened to the column 17 with a carrier 35. The mandrel is conically tapered towards the top and has the cross section of the bag to be formed towards the bottom. In the interior of the mandrel there is a filling channel 36 for the
Filling material and this channel 36 can clip through a filling 37 through with a storage container for the
Fill good are connected. Through the outlet 38 ge reached the contents in the bag tube. Above the outlet is at the lower end of the mandrel 34, where the same has a rectangular shape adapted to the bag to be formed, the longitudinal sealing device 39. This consists of one on the pillars 17,
18 attached carrier 39a and a heated pressure plate 40, which with a printing device, so z.
B. with the piston of a hydraulic cylinder 42, is pressed against the longitudinal sealing seam of the hose and this is sealed. The mandrel 34 serves as counter pressure (see also FIG. 5).
Approximately at the level of the longitudinal sealing device 39 there is also a feed device 43 for the bag tube. This consists of two feed jaws 44, 44a and rollers 45, which are located inside the hose to absorb the pressure of the feed jaws. These rollers 45 are attached to the mandrel 34 via its outlet 38, which has a correspondingly reduced outer diameter at the level of the feed device.
The feed jaws 44, 44a, which are provided with adhesive surfaces on the inside, are located on a crossbeam 46 which, like the crossbeams 27 of the cross-stamping device, is guided on the columns 17 and 18. This cross member 46 is connected to the cross member 27 via rods 47, 48.
The feed jaws 44, 44a are articulated to the piston 50 and the housing 51 of a pressure cylinder via articulated levers 49, which are each rotatably attached in the middle at 49a to the support 46, so that the jaws 44, 44a of this cylinder are attached to the hose can be pressed against and moved away from this, d. H. As a result, the feed jaws ge opens and can be closed (Fig. 5a).
The tube is advanced in the vertical direction with the pressure cylinder 52, the piston rod 53 of which is connected to the support plate 30 of the transverse embossing device via an arm 54. This advance takes place in such a way that after the closing of the advance jaws 44, 44a, their cross members 46 are pushed down by the cross member 27 of the advancing device connected to the piston rod 53 via the connecting rods 47 and 48 in the desired length. The lower position is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and the upper position is shown in FIG.
The vertical tube advance takes place between a fixed and movable stop, and this is monitored by a photocell 55, which is located on a support 55a attached to the column 18. The filling level in the hose is carried out with a level control 56. This can be carried out with the aid of an electrical capacitor. The condenser with an air-filled tube between the two condenser plates has a different capacitance than a condenser with an interposed liquid column.
The transverse sealing device 57 shown in FIGS. 1, 6, 7, 8 and 9 adjoins the level control 56 at the bottom. This has in its upper part a stationary guide head 58, which at the lower end has a rectangular recess corresponding to the bag cross-section, which widens upwards in a funnel shape. On the two opposite support arms 60 of the guide head 58, angle levers 63, 64 are articulated at 61 and 62, which are always connected parallel to one another at the upper ends via a rail 65. (Figures 6 and 9). At the angled lower ends of the angle levers 63, 64 there are rollers 66 which are guided in longitudinal slots 67 of transverse sealing jaws 68, 69 (FIG. 9).
At the extended lower end 70 of the angle levers 64, pull rails 72 are connected to pins 71, which are hinged at the lower end to the carrier 73 of the transverse sealing device. These carriers 73 are moved horizontally back and forth with pistons 74 from pressure cylinders 75.
During this back and forth movement, measuring cup halves 76/77 are also moved. These have pressure jaws 78, 79 at the lower end, which are opened and closed during the back and forth movement.
On the transverse sealing jaws 68, 69, at the front ends of which heating devices can be embedded at 80, are connected to pressure pistons 81, 82 which are controlled by pressure cylinders 83, 84. The hot-sealing jaws 68, 69 are opened and closed with these pressure cylinders.
Instead of the heating elements 80 inserted into the sealing jaws 68, 69, which transfer the necessary heat and heat-seal the transverse seam 91 of the bags 90 in the closed tube 14a, pulse welding can also be used for the sealing.
The devices described in Figs. 1-9 operate as follows:
The closed tube 90 is first drawn with the feed device as described above into the lower part of the measuring cup halves 76, 77.
When the hose is at a standstill, the cylinders 83, 84 are now acted upon, the transverse sealing jaws 68, 69 being moved horizontally, however, about the axes 61, 62 pivoting towards one another and upwards via the pistons 81, 82. Here, the pull rails 72 simultaneously pull the frame-like carrier 73 with the measuring cup halves 76, 77 upwards by twice the height, where they snap into a pawl, not shown.
During this combined movement process of the transverse sealing device 57, the tube 90 closed with the longitudinal sealing device 39 in the longitudinal direction is provided with the transverse sealing jaws 68, 69 in the transverse direction with a transverse seam 91. By simultaneously pushing up the transverse sealing jaws 68, 69 during transverse welding, the transverse seam 91 is pushed up between the transverse sealing jaw ends, the upper rectangular base being formed at the lower end of the stationary guide head 58 with the simultaneous formation of laterally protruding end flaps.
At the same time, the pulling rails 72 pull the closed measuring cup halves 76, 77 upwards, with the rectangular bottom of the bag located inside the measuring cup halves being formed at the top of the upper ends by the transverse sealing jaws 68, 69, with the corner tabs protruding laterally.
The starting position of the transverse sealing device 57 and some intermediate positions are shown in broken lines in FIG. The end position can be seen in FIG.
Subsequent to the formation of the transverse sealing seam 91, with the lined sealing jaws 68, 69 and the measuring cup halves 76, 77 being pushed close together in the vertical direction following the guide head 58 and, as described above, the cuboid shape of the bags being formed (FIG. 7). , the cylinders 83, 84 are operated to open the heat-sealing jaws 68, 69 in the opening direction. The pistons 81, 82 now pull the heat-sealing jaws 68, 69 apart first via the longitudinal slots 67, as shown in FIG. 8. In this position, the height locking of the carrier 73 is unlocked again and the downward movement of the transverse sealing jaws 68, 69 and the carrier 73 with the measuring cup halves 76, 77 takes place up to the starting position shown in FIGS.
With stops 85 (FIG. 9), undesired pulling out of the transverse sealing jaws can be prevented. Now the measuring cup 76, 77 is opened with the pressure piston 75, and the filling material, e.g. B. a liquid, can be passed through the nozzle 37 and the channel 36 in the hose 90. The level control 56 described above is used to regulate the product height.
After filling, the filled tube 14a is advanced further up to the level of the measuring cup halves 76, 77, whereupon these close (FIGS. 7 and 8) and with the knives 86 seated on the lower pressure jaws 78, 79 the previously manufactured bag 90 is separated. Initially, it is half a bag that is created when the machine is started up and must now be removed.
After this preliminary work, the automatic operation of the machine can begin, specifically in the manner described above, after each transverse seam 91 has been welded off, a fully filled bag open at the top and below a bag 90 closed at both ends within the measuring cup halves 76 , 77 is located. After opening the measuring cup halves, the filled bag is then taken to a further processing stage after being separated. In this processing stage, which is not the subject of the present patent application, the bag 90 is completely folded.
Instead of the hydraulically and pneumatically actuated cylinder pistons shown in the drawing, mechanically or electrically actuated drive devices can also be used.
10 shows a completely filled bag 90. The base 92 is pressed flat with laterally protruding corner tabs 93 and the transverse weld seams 91 protrude upwards and downwards.
In further processing stages, not shown, the transverse weld seams 91 must be laid flat on the floor 92, the corner tabs 93 shortened if necessary and welded inside to be folded over onto the floor in order to fix them there. Then the completely finished bags arrive in boxes or the like for dispatch.
In the embodiment of FIG. 11, the starting paper web 1 is wound onto a roll 102 and is guided from here over a rocker roll 103 in a dip tank 104 around a deflection roll 105 inserted there essentially vertically upwards.
The immersion tank 105 is filled with a disinfecting liquid or the like. If necessary, instead of such an immersion bath, an irradiation device known per se or a spray device can also be provided (not shown).
The paper balm roll 102 with the immersion container and roll guides is located in a primarily mobile housing 106. This is placed, for example, on the wheels 107. A supply roll 108 is also located in this housing.
In front of the disinfection bath 104 or on the upper part of the housing 106, a longitudinal scoring device consisting for example of two rollers 3, 3a is provided.
Instead of such creasing rollers, folding rails or the like can optionally also be provided.
The hose former shown in FIG. 1 adjoins the housing slot 109 directly.
Before this hose former, which can also be designed in any other way, a feed device for a disinfectant, for. B. for a moistening roller 125, which is wetted with a dip roller 127 rotating in the disinfecting liquid 126. Instead of this moistening roller, a spray device or a wetting sponge or the like can also be provided. In the form of a roller, this can, like roller 125, be wetted with a dip roller 127.
As described above, the subsequent tube former is designed in such a way that the web, with an overlap seam that is still open inside, is formed into a completely sterile tube 13, which is then transferred directly via a deflection roller to the other processing devices, e.g. arrives at a transverse embossing device, mandrel, longitudinal sealing device and transverse sealing device. With this tube formation there is no contact with the sterile inner layer of the web, so that it remains completely sterile.
The pawl, not shown, for the two measuring cup halves 76, 77, which are equipped with the supports 73, can consist of two pivot levers which are located at suitable points next to the two supports 73. The levers are equipped with protrusions that can slide under the brackets. For example, these two levers can be linked to the machine body 33 on fixed bearing bodies. They are each pressed against the outside of the carrier 73 with a spring. Below the bolts 74 horizontally displaceable bolts are inserted in bores of the carrier 73. In the positions of the measuring cup halves 76, 77 and their supports 73 shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the levers are pivoted towards the supports so that their projections slide under the supports 73. The measuring cup halves are locked in the vertical direction.
In this position, the bolts rest against the measuring cup halves 76, 77.
If the measuring cup halves 76, 77 now move outwards, the bolts are pushed outward through the carrier by them, so that the pawl levers are pressed off the bolts. The projections on the levers release the supports 73 so that they can be moved downwards together with the measuring cup halves 76, 77, specifically into the positions according to FIGS. 6 and 9.
