Description
Procédé de préparation de nouveaux monomères La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de préparation de méthanes poly-alcényliques à terminaisons non saturées de formule EMI1.1 où n est un nombre entier de 1 à 6, R représente - CHOH, - CH2X et X, ce dernier étant un halogène ayant un poids atomique supérieur à 19, R' représentant de l'hydrogène et un groupe alcoyle de 1 à 2 atomes de carbone et z représentant 3 ou 4, comme exemples de tels composés on peut citer le méthane tétra-allylique, le méthane tétra-buténylique, le méthane tétrapenténylique, le méthane tétra-hexénylique, le méthane tétrahepténylique, les méthanes tétraoctényliques, le méthane tétraméthallylique, l'éthanol 1, 1,1 -triallylique, le bromure 1,1,1 -triallyléthylique, le bromoéthane 1,1, 1-triallylique. Les méthanes polyalcényliques à terminaisons non saturées sont préparés en faisant réagir un halogénure de formule ou ou .C(Cff1X) avec un réactif alcénylique de Grignard de formule générale EMI1.2 pour obtenir un composé de formule générale EMI1.3 où n, R, R', X et z ont la même signification que celle indiquée ci-dessus. Comme exemple spécifique de cette réaction, on prépare du méthane tétra-allylique en faisant réagir au moins quatre moles de chlorure vinylique de magnésium ou de bromure vinylique de magnésium avec une mole de bromure pen taérythritylique dans un solvant à l'éther. On peut également préparer du méthane tétra-allylique, par exemple en faisant réagir au moins quatre moles de bromure allylique de magnésium ou du chlorure allylique de magnésium avec une mole de tétrabromurc de carbone. Les produits bruts de ces synthèses sont souvent des mélanges complexes d'alcènes, difficiles à séparer. C'est pourquoi, l'analyse de ces produits ne révèle généralement que le nombre moyen de groupements alcényliques sur chaque molécule. Les méthanes polyalcényliques à terminaisons non saturée obtenus par le procédé suivant la présente invention peuvent être utilisés comme produits chimiques intermédiaires et comme monomères vinyliques pour l'homopolymérisation en produits durs ayant une excellente stabilité thermique et ils sont particulièrement avantageux comme comonomères de réticulation avec d'autres monomères vinyliques. Exemple 1 On a préparé du tétrabromure pentaérythritylique par le procédé décrit dans Organic Synthesis, Collective Volume I, page 476. On a obtenu du chlorure vinylique de magnésium par addition de 125 g de chlorure de vinyle à 48,6 g de tournures fraîches de magnésium dans du tétrahydrofurane, tout en observant les précautions habituelles, nécessaires dans les réactions de Grignard. On a décanté la solution de chlorure vinylique de magnésium de l'excès de ma gnésium et on l'a refroidie à 60 C. On a ajouté une solution de 95 g de bromure pentaérythritylique dans 400 ml de tétrahydrofurane à une solution de Grignard refroidie et l'on a maintenu la température réactionnelle à 500 C par addition contrôlée de la solution de bromure pentaérythritylique. On a reflué la solution foncée obtenue, pendant sept heures. On a ajouté 300ml d'eau distillée au mélange, à une température inférieure à 200 C. On a finalement traité le mélange réactionnel avec 225 ml d'acide chlorhydrique à 20 0/o. On a isolé la couche supérieure et on l'a séchée sur du sulfate de sodium anhydre. On a éliminé le tétrahydrofurane de la couche organique séchée par distillation sous pression atmosphérique et l'on a récupéré le méthane tétra-allylique impur à 250 C et 5 mm. Exemple 2 On a préparé du bromure allylique de magnésium dans un réacteur standard de Grognard, à partir de 302,5 g de bromure allylique, 750 ml d'éther diéthylique anhydre et 72 g de tournures fraîches de magnésium. On a décanté la solution éthérée de Guignard d'un excès de magnésium et on l'a placée dans un ballon en verre de 3 1. On a ajouté goutte à goutte une solution de 142 g de bromure pentaérythritylique dans 400 ml de tétrahydrofurane, à la solution agitée et refroidie de bromure allylique de magnésium. On a éliminé l'éther par distillation, on a ajouté 880 ml de tétrahydrofurane et l'on a reflué le mélange pendant quelques heures. On a refroidi le mélange réactionnel et l'on a ajouté goutte à goutte 175 ml d'eau distillée au mélange réactionnel, puis on a ajouté 200 ml d'acide chlorhydrique à 20 0/o. On a isolé la couche organique et on l'a séchée sur du sulfate de sodium anhydre pendant 4 heures. On a éliminé le tétrahydrofurane par distillation sous pression atmosphérique. On a ensuite refroidi le récipient de distillation et l'on a éliminé le produit solide de précipitation par filtration. On a distillé le produit de filtration sous pression réduite, dans une colonne courte. On a recueilli la fraction principale à environ 800 C et 10 mm. On a recueilli une fraction plus petite à 90-950 C : et 2 mm. On a constaté que la fraction 800 C/10 mm de méthane tétrabuténylique avait un indice d'iode de 330,6. L'indice d'iode calculé pour le méthane tétrabuténylique est de 436,9, ce qui signifie que cet échantillon contenait, en moyenne, un peu plus de 3 groupes butényliques par molécule. Exemple 3 On a préparé du bromure allylique de magnésium comme décrit à l'exemple 2, à partir de 109,5 g de tournures de magnésium, 750 ml d'éther diéthylique anhydre et 142 ml de bromure allylique. On a décanté le bromure allylique de magnésium du magnésium résiduel et on Fa ajouté lentement à une solution de 100 g de tétrabromure de carbone dans 100 ml d'éther diéthylique anhydre. On a ensuite distillé l'éther du mélange réactionnel, tout en ajoutant environ 750ml de benzène. On a maintenu le mélange obtenu à 600 C pendant 2 heures, puis on l'a refroidi à la température ambiante. A ce moment le contenu du réacteur avait une couleur café crème. On a traité le mélange réactionnel avec 100 ml d'eau, puis avec 280 mi d'acide chlorhydrique à 20 0/o. On a séparé les couches et l'on a séché la couche organique pendant un jour sur du sulfate de sodium anhydre. Ensuite, on a éliminé le solvant par distillation sous pression atmosphérique, dans une colonne de 254 mm, remplie de selles de Berl. On a recueilli le produit, à savoir du méthane tétré-allylique brut, à 76-780 C et 9 mm.
Claims (1)
- REVENDICATION Procédé de préparation de méthanes polyalcényliques à terminaisons non saturées répondant à la formule: EMI2.1 où n est un nombre entre 1 et 6, R représente - CH2OH, - CH2X ou X, ce dernier étant un halogène d'un poids atomique supérieur à 19, R' représente l'hydrogène ou un groupe alcoyle de 1 à 2 atomes de carbone, z est 3 ou 4, caractérisé en ce qu'on traite un réactif de Grignard de formule: EMI2.2 avec respectivement un halogénure de formule: R4.C(X) ouR4.C(CWX).SOUS-REVENDICATIONS 1. Procédé selon la revendication, caractérisé en ce qu'on traite environ une mole de bromure penta érythritylique avec environ quatre moles d'un réactif allylique de Guignard.2. Procédé selon la revendication, caractérisé en ce qu'on traite une mole de tétrabromure de carbone avec environ quatre moles d'un réactif allylique de Grignard.
