Fig. 3.
An :der Peri pherie !d-,s Behälterkörpers 10 und zwischen jeder ,der Taschen ist .am .Behälterkörper ein einwärtsge- richteter, halbkugelförmiger Vorsprung 28 ausgebil- @det, und :auf dem Deckel 11 sind Nocken 29 ausge- @bildet, die dazu berechnet sind, mit Aden Vorsprün gen 28 @am Behälterkörper ;
Cylindrical tablet container The invention relates to a cylindrical tablet container with a container body in which, along pure circles concentric to the periphery of the container body, a row of tablet pockets open at the top,
a lid which can be rotated in relation to the container body and has an emptying opening which is essentially at the same distance from the center of the container as the tablet pockets, an index scale:
with a number corresponding to the number of tablet pockets: circularly arranged indices and an associated dial indicator for registering the respective rotation of the container lid.
Such tablet containers are particularly advantageous for packaging such tablets that are to be taken within a specified time within:
of which the individual tablets are to be taken with a certain time interval. An example of such tablets are contraceptive tablets, one of which is normally one tablet per day for a specified period:
should be taken during the menstrual cycle. With these tablet containers, an appropriate index scale can be used to ensure that the patient can see when the next tablet should be taken.
because the dial indicator and the scale are automatically rotated in relation to one another when the emptying opening of this lid is turned over a new tablet pocket.
In the case of the already known tablet containers of the type in question, the index scale has the form of a removable plastic disc attached to the top of the container lid, while the scale indicator consists of a:
the container body consists of a fixed arrow, which is visible through the transparent container lid. At the beginning of a tablet cure you have to set the index scale l by removing the same in the known containers, this in the desired
Position: turn in relation to the container lid and reattach it to @the same.
If the index scale is set correctly, the index of the index scale, which is located in front of the arrow on the container body, indicates when the tablet of the pocket over which the emptying opening is located should be taken.
On the reading; the index scale, however, has certain possibilities with regard to the same known containers:
for misreaders, because you can see all the indices l on the scale at the same time, which is why it is difficult to determine which index is immediately in front of your scale ninety. Finally, as explained above, it is very difficult to set the index scale.
The purpose of the invention is to create a tablet container in which the possibility of incorrectly reading the index scale is excluded and the index scale @ can be set quickly and easily at the start of the tablet regimen.
A feature of the tablet container according to the invention is that: the index scale is arranged between the container body and the container lid by being fixedly but adjustable in relation to the container body, and that the scale indicator is in the form of a window located on the container lid which exposes part of the index scale.
By means of a suitable setting of the indlex scale in relation to the container body, then will be able to achieve @that or index or i the indices that are exposed by the opening or the window indicate the time for (taking the tablets that are in the tablet pocket,
which is exposed by the discharge opening or - if desired - in the subsequent pocket. Because you can only see the relevant indices through the opening (window) in the container lid, there is no possibility of a mistake: rejection.
In the case of the already known containers mentioned, the dial indicator and the emptying opening are sometimes located at different points on the container, and this circumstance will make it difficult to read off the index scale. But you can achieve a more comfortable reading, because the Ent emptying opening of the container lid can have such a shape and size that it exposes part of the index scale.
The dispensing opening itself can then be used as a scale indicator, and reading can thus be carried out directly next to the tablet pocket in question, which makes it easier.
Since the index scale is attached between the container lid and the container body, it is difficult to access and therefore difficult to adjust. However, this disadvantage can be eliminated by having the container; on one side:
has a centrally arranged, in relation to the container body i rotatable and accessible from the outside setting element, idas connected to the index scale. It is then possible to adjust the index scale: by turning the externally accessible setting element.
Because of the reliable reading of the index scale, it is important that or correct index - or the correct indexes - are exactly in front of the dispensing opening, if: the same is located above a tablet pocket.
This can be achieved in that, the adjustment member rides: the container body is connected that it is only gradually in relation to the same - corresponding to the angle between; between successive indices on the index scale.
An exemplary embodiment: the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.
1 shows a tablet container according to the invention in plan view, FIG. 2 shows the tablet container, in plan view and with the cover removed, FIG. 3 shows a larger-scale section along line III-III in FIG.
The tablet container shown in the drawing has a container body 10, a cover 1: 1 and a base 12. The container cover 1, 1 has a centrally attached, tubular pin 13, which has slots 14, FIG. 3, has. The container body 10 is provided with: a frusto-conical central hub 15 in which a conical hole 16 is provided.
The lid 11 can be sawed on the container body 10 in such a way that the pin 13 is pressed in under elastic deformation: through the conical hole 16 in the hub, and since the pin 13 has a has an extended, free edge, it prevents the lid and container body from being separated again.
Between the lid 1 i and the container body by 10 .is a circular index scale centrally placed. This scale is provided with a cutout 18 which - s. Fig. 2 - consists of a circular hole from which a comparatively wide slot and a diametrically attached narrow slot protrude. The tablet container also contains an adjusting element 19 for: the ind, x scale 17.
The adjusting member 19 has two protruding legs 20 of different widths so that they can be taken up by the slots in the cutout, the index scale 17, by being led up through circular, gap-shaped cutouts 21 in the container body.
The adjusting member 19 is held in place by means of a flange 22, or rests against the edge of a central opening in the floor 12, which is again: held on the container body 10 by pressing. A fader 23 is attached around the hub 15, which presses the flange 22 on the adjusting element 19 against the base 12.
In the container body 10 there are twenty tablet pockets or tablet recesses 25 which are attached at the same angular distances from one another and which are open at the top and which are designed such that a tablet 26 is attached to the high edge in each of the pocket can be, s. Fig. 3. Also: there is a blind pocket 27 in the container body 10; H. a pocket that has already been filled out so that it cannot hold a tablet.
On: the periphery of the container body 10 and between each of the pockets there is an inwardly directed, hemispherical projection 28 on the container body, and: cams 29 are formed on the cover 11, which are calculated for this, with aden projections on the container body;
to intervene in such a way that the cover 11 can only be rotated in stages, since the individual stages correspond to the angular spacing of two successive projections 28 and thus the angular spacing of two successive pockets 25.
The tablet container shown is intended to hold twenty contraceptive tablets, one of which is to be taken daily during a certain period of the menstrual cycle, and the index scale 17 is therefore provided with a series of indices which indicate consecutive days of the week for three whole weeks indicates, and these indices are like this:
Arranged on the scale 17, so that they can all come to lie in front of a tablet pocket 25 each - including the blind pocket.
On the underside of the flange 22 of the adjustment member 19 there are projections 30, and on the upper side of the base 12 and around its central opening there are a corresponding number of incisions 31 which correspond to the number of indices on the scale 17 , and which are arranged and ordered with the same: large angular distances from one another.
The bottom 12 has an em porragenden flange 32, on the inside of which a cam 33 is formed, which can engage in a recess 34 under the dummy tablet pocket 27 and thereby prevent relative rotation between the bottom 12 and the container body 10.
The setting member 19 and: the container body 10 are designed so that: the setting member can only be mounted in a certain way, i. H. that each of the legs 20 on the adjusting member corresponds to a certain one of the gap-shaped cutouts 21 in the container body. Furthermore, the unequal width of the legs together with,
the unequal width of the .Slots of the index scale 17, id that the same cannot be incorrectly mounted on the setting element.
The adjusting member 19 has a finger surface 35 at the bottom. If you press it with a finger, the spring 23 is compressed a little, and the projections 30 are thereby disengaged from the incisions 31: and now the adjusting members and Turn index scale 17 in relation to container body 10.
When the adjusting member 19 is released, the spring 23 will again press the flange 22 against the base 12, whereby the protrusions will slide into one of the relevant incisions 31. This ensures that the indices of the scale 17 are always immediate in front of each of the tablet pockets 25, 27 concerned :.
An annular bead 24, which surrounds the central opening of the base 12, serves: to protect the adjustment member 19 against unintentional actuation.
A rectangular dispensing opening 36 is formed in the cover 11 (FIG. 1, the shape and size of which are as follows:
dimensioned, n is that it can partly expose one of the tablet pockets 25 and partly the index of the index scales 17 in front of the relevant pocket). The cams 29:
on the lid 11 and, the projections 28 on the container body 19, are arranged in such a way (that the dispensing opening 36 after the incremental rotation of the lid will always come directly over one of the tablet pockets.
When the filled tablet container is administered to the customer, the dispensing opening 36 is provided in the illustrated embodiment above that tablet pocket which is immediately awake, the blind pocket 27.
The cover 11 is locked in this position by means of a locking tab 37 which is cast together with the cover as a unit and is connected to it by means of two pins 38.
The underside: of the tip 37 protrudes: into a cutout 39 (Fig. 2) at the upper edge of the wall of the container body 10 and thereby prevents a relative rotation between the lid: and the container body. The sealing tip also has the task of preventing the tablet from falling out of the pocket.
If the patient is to start with a tablet regimen, the doctor or the patient undertakes a one setting of the index scale 17 by turning the setting member 19. If the tablet regimen z. B. at, one.
On Friday start 5o11, the scale is turned to such a position that the index .FR from the delivery opening 36: wind exposed. The closure tab 37 is then pulled from the container lid and the tablet in the pocket below is removed.
An arrow 40 is attached to the cover 11, which indicates the direction of rotation of the cover. On the following day, the patient turns the lid one step forward in the relevant direction, whereby (through a new tablet pocket 25 is exposed, and the,
The tablet in it is taken by the patient. : During the aforementioned rotation, an index, namely SA, will be exposed, which means that the tablet in question should be taken on Saturday, etc. It makes sense
i that the index scale can also be set in such a way that the exposed index indicates: on which day the tablet is to be taken in the subsequent pocket.
The desired procedure can be specified in a usage instruction @, which can be placed in the tablet container or attached to the container.
The result is that by means of the tablet container described, the time for taking the individual tablets can be read very quickly and reliably, and the patient can thereby keep control that the tablets are being taken as planned.
It is clear that various changes can be made to the tablet container described here without going beyond the scope of the invention. For example, it is possible to use the cover 11 with:
To provide a special window for the index reader, Idas not present, the dispensing opening 36 needs to be located. Furthermore, tablet pockets with several tablets can be used, and the indices can also indicate other time markings: en Talge :.
