Post-mounted luminaires There are known post-mounted luminaires that have a connecting piece that is used to attach to the end of the mast:
have, in the interior of which the chokes and capacitors required for lamp operation and the terminals that can be connected to the lamp connection cables are arranged.
On the side of the connection piece facing the ground, an opening provided with a cover is attached in most cases, through which maintenance work on the ballasts can be carried out and the connections can be made on the terminals.
The invention is an improvement on a masthead lamp with a housing part that accommodates a mercury vapor high-pressure lamp, the one at the mast end with the interposition of a connection piece, which is a choke coil, a compensation capacitor and a clamp for the lamps Connection line contains, can be fastened.
According to the invention, the connecting piece, which has a continuous jacket, is arranged at an opening of the luminaire housing part with the vent end, which is closed with a removable heat insulating plate carrying a lamp socket and the luminaire components, with:
the mechanical connection or detachment of the thermal insulation plate and the connecting piece at the same time an electrical connection or separation of luminaire components and luminaire connection cable is established automatically.
The structure of the lamp according to the invention enables time-saving assembly, rapid performance of maintenance work, easy interchangeability of the built-in lamp parts combined to form an assembly unit and the socket, separate packaging option for this assembly unit,
Excellent thermal insulation between the ballast compartment and the lamp, and finally increased safety due to protective insulation: thanks to:
the heat insulation plate. If the continuous jacket of the connecting piece does not have an opening closed with a cover, sealing difficulties cannot occur. The good heat seal between the lamp and the control gear: allows the dimensions of the luminaire to be kept small, even with a higher lamp output.
It is a particular advantage of an example, the lamp according to the invention, that when the lamp is connected to the supply line and if maintenance or repairs are required, all work is trimmed outside the attachment, i.e. with the best possible access from all sides. as soon as possible.
When assembling this example, the connection line, which is usually led out of the end of the mast, must first be connected to an electrical connection element, e.g. B. the socket part: a plug-in connection to connect and this connecting element to fasten .in its operating position inside the extension piece.
Then the connecting piece is placed over the luminaire components and the mechanical connection between the thermal insulation plate and the connecting piece is established. It is an essential assembly advantage that at the same time this mechanical connection - the electrical connection to the built-in luminaire components and the lamp socket - is made automatically.
This is because there is a contact connection between the lamp connection line or a connecting element hanging from it and a corresponding connecting element which is connected to the lamp installation parts and the socket.
Just as advantageous is the mechanical detachment of the heat insulating plate from the connecting piece. At the same time, the electrical separation of the luminaire connection line from the electrical luminaire components is automatically achieved.
After the lamp has been inserted into its socket, the last step in the assembly process is to put the lamp housing part over the lamp and fasten it to the connecting piece using quick-release fasteners.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the invention. The figures show: FIG. 1, a side view of the mast attachment light according to the invention, FIG. 2 a vertical longitudinal section of the attachment socket of the light according to FIG. 1, FIG. 3 a view from below of the device for attaching the light housing part,
4 shows a vertical partial longitudinal section of the heat insulating plate with lamp holder and first luminaire built-in parts, FIG. 5 shows a side view of the object of FIG. 4, FIG. 6 shows a vertical longitudinal section through the lamp-side end of the connecting piece with the heat insulating plate fastened therein,
7 shows a horizontal longitudinal section through the connection point of the lamp housing part with the connecting piece and the heat insulating plate, FIG. 8 shows a side view with vertical parts of the lamp housing part and FIG. 9 shows a plan view of the edge of the lamp housing part.
The top-mounted light shown has a high-pressure mercury vapor lamp receiving light housing part 1, which can be fastened with the interposition of a connecting piece 2 at the end of a pole. This connection piece 2 ent holds built-in lighting parts such as a choke coil 3 (Fig. 4), a compensation capacitor 4 and a terminal 5 for the lamp connection line. 6 (Fig. 2) is a relief clamp for the Lzuchtenconnection line, not shown.
The connecting piece 2 has a pass through, the jacket without any closure cover, which would allow access to the inside of the connecting piece, and is at an opening 7 (Fig. 8) of the lamp housing part 1 with the end that is arranged with a removable heat insulating plate 8 (Fig 6) is locked.
Before geous is. To attach the extension piece 2 serving opening 7 ides lamp housing part 1 transversely to the lamp's longitudinal axis, preferably approximately perpendicular to this. The heat insulating plate 8 (Fig. 4) carries: on one side a lamp socket 9, and on (the other side the choke coil 3 and the compensation capacitor 4. It is useful to be the heat insulating plate 8, made of electrically insulating plastic.
As a result, it is able to have a heat-insulating effect and meet the requirements for increased electrical protection.
It .sind further with the .mechanical connection or detachment of the thermal insulation plate 8 and the attachment 2 at the same time the lamp skin parts 3, 4 and the lamp connection line automatically connected or separated electrically. Expediently, means that can be operated without tools are used to establish the mechanical and electrical connection within the lamp. The mechanical and electrical connec tions can advantageously be designed as plug connections.
In front of the heat insulating plate 8 sockets 10 (Vig., 5,: 7) are formed, Aie on guide pins 11 (Fig. 7) inside the neck 2, can be pushed up.
If the post-top luminaire is to be fastened and electrically connected to the end of the mast, the fitter takes 12 tig after loosing a screw. 2) a holder 13 out of the interior of the connecting piece 2. On @dsesem holder 13 sits apart from the relief clamp 6, the terminal 5, which is expediently designed as a socket part for a plug connection.
After connecting the lamp connection line to the terminal 5, the holder 13 is passed through the opening 14 on the mast side (Fig. 2) of the connecting piece 2, the connecting piece 2 with its opening 14 is pushed over the end of the mast and attached to it with the help of two mast fastening screws 15 (Fig. 2, 3) held firmly. Then the holder 13 by means of the screw 12 is to be fastened back to the connection piece 2.
Now the heat insulating plate 8, which together .with; the choke coil 3, the compensation capacitor 4 and the lamp holder 9 forms an assembly unit, is guided into the connecting piece 2. Here, the sockets 10 slide over the guide pins 11 and at the same time a plug 16 (Fig. 6) attached to the heat insulating plate 8 with its plug pins into the sockets of the terminal 5. In this way, the mechanical connection is also the electrical connection Connection for the lamp established automatically.
Finally, the lamp housing part 1 is brought up.
It is useful to have toggle locks 17 (FIGS. 8, 9) attached to the luminaire housing part 1, which hold the luminaire housing part 1 on the attachment socket 2 after they have been attached to the projections 18 (FIG. 7) of the attachment socket 2.
Two toggle levers 17 can be arranged which are opposite each other in the hori zontal. Expediently, a sealing strip 20 with several lips is attached to the opening 7 of the lamp housing part 1 around the edge 19 (FIG. 8), with the seal being carried out at the same time on the connection piece 2 and on the heat insulating plate 8.
The connecting piece 2 is advantageously made of plastic or cast metal.
The upper part 21 (FIG. 8) of the lamp housing part 1 is advantageously made of a material that conducts heat well, preferably aluminum, and is closed by a transparent cover 22.
The translucent cover 22 is particularly attached to the upper part 21 of the lamp housing part 1 by spring clips 23 (FIG. 8) which, in the operating position, are at the edges 24, 25 of the cover 22: and the upper part 21.
A device 26 (FIG. 3) is expediently attached to the connection piece 2, to which the removed housing part 1 can be attached, preferably by means of one of its toggle levers 17, during assembly. An essential part of the device 26 shown is a hook-shaped axis on which an eye 27:
of the toggle lever lock 17 can be suspended (shown in dashed lines in FIG. 2).
