Stitch stripping device on a knitting machine The subject of the present invention is a stitch stripping device on a knitting machine with a needle bed and knock-off comb, and a stitch stripper designed as a spring comb with a number of resilient fingers fastened in a holder.
Such stripping devices are used to facilitate the shedding of the edge meshes, which are only subjected to one-sided pull, by gripping the fingers between the teeth of the knock-off comb and resiliently resting needles on the top of the relevant edge, so that when these needles are withdrawn, the loops on the needle shafts be knocked off with certainty over the closed needle heads.
The known devices of this type had a bar with bores into which bores fastened to the apparatus frame and distributed along the umbilical bed entered, so that, for the purpose of adjusting the spring combs, these were pulled out of the respective retaining bolts and inserted in the new position corresponding retaining bolts had to be.
The aim of the present invention is a substantial simplification of the adjustment of the spring combs, which is achieved in that the holder on its side facing away from the fingers has a spring bolt protruding beyond its surface and a cylindrical joint extension, the spring bolt against a direction of movement of the Needles right-angled and on the apparatus frame be fastened rail supports, which rail has a groove encompassing the articular process and extending in its longitudinal direction,
in which the joint extension is held pivotable and longitudinally displaceable. In the drawing, an example Ausfüh approximate form of the subject invention is shown, namely Fig. 1 shows a section perpendicular to the needle bed, along the line 1-I in Fig. 2 and Fig. 2 is a plan view of the device in question and part of the needle bed .
In the needle bed 1 a number of longitudinally displaceable ble needles 2 is stored in a known manner. On a plate 3 connected to the apparatus frame above the needle bed, a rail 4 is fastened at right angles to the direction of displacement of the needles, which rail has a support surface 4a and, below this, a groove 4b, the cross-section of which is essentially an arc of a 180 over central angle is.
The spring comb consists of a holder 5 with a number of resilient fingers 6, which are in a known manner between the teeth 7 of the cut comb and are supported at least approximately at the level of the cut comb edge against the tops of the needles 2 in question. Above the fingers 6, the holder 5 has an Actuate transmission surface 5a on its side facing the fingers and a bore 5b on the opposite side, in which a spring bolt 8 protruding beyond this rear side is slidably mounted. Below the fingers of the holder is provided on its rear side with a cylindrical and parallel to the level of the fin ger articular process 5c.
The mutual position of the bore 5b and the extension 5c is now chosen so that the spring bolt 8 is supported against the surface 4a of the rail 4, while the joint extension 5c is encompassed by the groove 4b and can be displaced parallel to the chopping comb edge in this groove and is held pivotable. From the structure described it follows that the holder is secured against involuntary movements to each side in its illustrated effective position.
So prevent the knocking comb teeth 7, between which the fingers 6 extend, a shift Ver, while the spring bolt 8 counteracts a unge wanted pivoting about the geometric axis of the cylindrical extension 5c.
If the spring comb is now to be adjusted, it is sufficient to pivot the holder by applying appropriate pressure to the actuating surface 5a against the action of the spring bolt 8 in the adjustment position not indicated in phantom in FIG. 1 and then to pivot it within the rail 4 around the wanted Move route.
