Process for the production of colored plastic moldings
The invention relates to a process for producing colored molded plastic articles by mixing plastic masses with an anthraquinone pigment of the formula
EMI1.1
where x is the divalent radical of benzene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid or an ethylene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid optionally substituted by chlorine or methyl, y is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine or bromine and z is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine or bromine and Shaping of the mixture thus obtained.
The anthraquinone dyes of the formula (I) are very suitable for dyeing, for example, compositions of polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polystyrene, synthetic polyamides, polyesters, polyacrylonitrile and acrylonitrile copolymers by mixing the finely divided dye with the material to be colored, which is dissolved or in a solvent can be moistened with a plasticizer.
Because of their high melting point and their heat resistance, the anthraquinone dyes of the formula (I) are also suitable for dyeing artificial fibers by the melt spinning process, as is used in particular for synthetic polyamide and polyester fibers.
The dyeings obtained have good to very good light, migration, water, washing, tJberfärbe, acid and alkaline chlorine, chlorite, sublimation, oxalic acid, dry cleaning, flue gas, rubbing, ironing -, peroxide bleach, blind vat and sweat fastness as well as heat and hydrosulphite resistance.
In the following examples, parts are parts by weight, percentages are percentages by weight, and temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
example 1
1 part of the anthraquinone dye of the formula
EMI1.2
and 179 parts of polyacrylonitrile are stirred into 820 parts of dimethylformamide at 1000. The paste obtained is pressed through a nozzle into hot glycerine. The wound and stretched thread is washed free of glycerine with water and dried.
Yellow dyeings with good fastness properties are obtained.
Example 2
25 parts of the anthraquinone dye of the formula
EMI1.3
are mixed with 5000 parts of Rilsan and fused in the usual way under a nitrogen atmosphere at 2300. After spinning the viscous mass obtained in this way, yellow fibers with good fastness properties are obtained.
Example 3
25 parts of the anthraquinone dye of the formula
EMI2.1
are mixed with 5000 parts of the condensate of terephthalic acid or its dimethyl ester and glycol and fused in the usual way under a nitrogen atmosphere at about 280. After spinning the viscous mass obtained in this way, yellow fibers with good fastness properties are obtained.
Example 4
1 part of the anthraquinone dye of the formula
EMI2.2
is mixed with 300 parts of polyethylene and processed into threads by the customary extrusion process (see, for example, Ullmann's Encyklopadie der technischen Chemie, 2nd edition, 7th volume, pages 272, 291ff.).
Yellow fibers or bristles are obtained. In a similar way, the same dye can be used to dye polystyrene in bulk.
Example 5
1 part of the anthraquinone dye of the formula (VI) or (VII) given below is with
1.5 parts of dioctyl phthalate rubbed on a three-roll mill and stirred into 100 parts of a customary polyvinyl chloride plasticizer paste. However, the dry pigment can also be added to the paste, which is then rubbed on if necessary. The yellow paste obtained in this way is applied to a fabric, gelatinized in the heat and optionally also embossed.
The yellow synthetic leather has very good light, migration and rubbing fastness.

Example 6 '1 part of the anthraquinone dye of the formula
EMI2.5
is stirred into the solution of 165 parts of polyacrylonitrile in 834 parts of dimethylformamide at 100 ". The resulting mass is spun in spinning funnels, as is customary for viscose rayon. The fibers obtained are precipitated with water and further drawn in a hot water bath at 900. The result is yellow dyed fibers with good fastness properties.
Example 7
25 parts of the anthraquinone dye of the formula
EMI2.6
are mixed with 2500 parts nylon and fused in the usual manner under a nitrogen atmosphere at about 2859. After spinning the viscous mass obtained in this way, yellow fibers with good fastness properties are obtained, which are optionally stretched and / or crimped and shrink-set.
Example 8
A mixture of 100 parts of polypropylene powder or granulate and one part of benzene 1,4-dicarboxylic acid dianthraquinonyl (l ') amide is melted and spun in the usual way. Vivid yellow colored threads are obtained. The dyeings have good fastness to light, perspiration and dry cleaning.
