Process for the production of grids from flat bars and grids produced by this process The invention relates to a process for the production of grids from two arches of flat bars parallel to each other. According to the invention, the same is characterized in that the flat bars are provided with matching bends at the intended crossing points and the flat bars are simply combined by braiding to form a lattice so that corresponding bends snap into one another.
The invention also relates to the grid produced by this process.
Based on the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention is explained.
It is: FIG. 1 a plan view of an embodiment of the grid according to the invention, FIG. 2 a side view of a flat bar on a larger scale, FIG. 3 a schematic representation of the grid during its manufacture.
The grid shown in Fig. 1 consists of a group of vertical flat bars 1 and a group of horizontal flat bars 2, which cross each other at right angles and form square grid openings 3 with one another. The flat bars 1 and 2 are completely identical to one another in the present case.
Such a flat bar 1 or 2 has, according to FIG. 2, equidistant bends 4 which alternately emerge on opposite sides of the flat bar on its plane, in each case by half the thickness d of the flat bar.
These bends are produced by pressing a smooth flat rod. In this case, several bends are preferably made in a single pressing step, whereupon the flat bar is advanced between the pressing jaws by a corresponding section.
In order to unite the flat bars with one another to form the grid according to FIG. 1, a number of flat bars 1 are set up vertically at the distance of the crank pitch t of the flat bars 2 from one another, which in the present case is the same as that of the flat bars 1. For this purpose, the lower ends of the rods 1 are inserted into corresponding, slot-shaped holes in a fixed mounting beam 5.
Then a horizontal flat bar 2 is interwoven with the flat bars 1 after the other by the upper ends of the latter alternately bent slightly forwards or backwards and the flat bars 2 pushed from top to bottom between the flat bars 1 who the until the bends of the respective Snap flat rod 2 into the lowest, still free bends in flat rods 1. It goes without saying that successive flat bars 2 are introduced in the opposite position into the flat bars 1, corresponding to the position of the bends.
The flat bars are preferably made of metal, e.g. B. made of brass, aluminum, steel, etc. The grid described is extremely stable in contrast to known grids made by braiding but not provided with bends. Even with relatively large forces, it cannot be deformed significantly as a whole, nor can individual rods be displaced from their position.
The grid can also be made with rectangular or parallelogram-shaped grid openings, for which only the size of the cranking divisions for the flat bars 1 and 2 has to be selected differently or the cranks in the plan view must be made not square or rectangular, but parallelogram-shaped.
If you use differently colored flat bars 1 and 2, you can easily achieve beautiful patterns on the grid, although of course not all vertical or horizontal flat bars need to be the same color. This advantage can be achieved with grids made by welding, e.g. B. welding point, unified metallic flat bars can not be achieved because the bars are unsightly by the welding.
To keep the flat bars 1 in place during the braiding, you can of course use other means than the mounting bar shown in Fig. 3 GE. For example, the latter can be made in two parts for manufacturing reasons, an upper part having continuous slots for inserting the flat bars and a lower part preventing the bars from falling out of these slots. You could clamp the lower ends of the flat bars between two parallel rails or the like.
In order to accelerate the alternie-generating forward or backward bending of the upper ends of the flat bars 1, you can also use auxiliary devices such. B. use the type of combs used in weaving.
