Kaplan turbine system with concrete spiral housing The invention relates to a vertical axis Kaplan turbine system with concrete spiral housing and inlet guide device.
In turbines of this type, it has hitherto been customary to concretize a support vane ring upstream of the diffuser in the concrete housing and to close off the space above the diffuser with a cast or welded turbine cover.
The purpose of the invention is to make the system cheaper than these known types. This aim is achieved according to the invention in that in a vertical axis Kaplan turbine system with concrete spiral housing and inlet guide device, the central opening of the concrete ceiling of the spiral has a smaller diameter than the guide vane circle.
In Figs. 1 to 3 of the drawings, three ver different embodiments of the subject invention are shown.
FIG. 4 also shows a section along the line IV-IV in FIG. 3 and FIG. 5 shows how the impeller can be assembled in the embodiment according to FIG. 3. The system has a concrete spiral housing 1 and an inlet guide device with adjustable guide vanes 2, through which the process water flowing in from the interior of the spiral housing is fed to a turbine runner with hub 3 and adjustable blades 4.
After flowing through the impeller, the water flows off through a curved suction pipe 5. The turbine wheel drives a power generator 7 via a vertical shaft 6.
The axes of the guide vanes are arranged in a circle of diameter D. The concrete ceiling of the spiral is denoted by 8. It has a central opening through which the impeller can be introduced entirely or in individual parts from above. In all the embodiments shown, this central opening now has a smaller diameter than the guide vane circle D.
According to FIG. 1, the concrete ceiling 8 of the spiral has an inwardly projecting collar 81, and the central opening delimited by this has a diameter dl which lies between the outer diameter of the impeller and the diameter D of the guide vane circle. This opening allows the impeller to be inserted from above in the assembled state. It is completed in operation by a welded turbine cover 9. Supporting blades 10, which are anchored in the concrete spiral housing at the top and bottom, are upstream of the guide apparatus.
In the collar 81 of the spiral cover 8 openings are provided through which extensions 11 of the guide vane pins are passed. On the underside, the collar 81 is reinforced by a protective plate 12, which has to protect the concrete in the area of the guide vanes against attack by the water. This protective plate has corresponding openings for the passage of the guide vane pins. On the pin extensions 11 levers 13 are set, which are connected via tabs 14 to a regulating ring 16 actuated by a servomotor 15.
According to FIG. 1, the regulating ring and the servomotor are placed on the turbine cover 9.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the central opening of the concrete ceiling 8, bounded by a collar 82, has an opening with a diameter d2, which is smaller than the outer diameter of the impeller, but larger than the diameter of the impeller hub 3 and the greatest profile length L ( Fig. 5) the runner shovel 4. With this construction, the runner can no longer be let through the central opening of the concrete ceiling in the assembled state. The opening is still large enough for the impeller hub and the individual blades to pass through. The impeller must then be assembled under the spiral ceiling.
The inwardly protruding collar 82 of the concrete ceiling 8 has to be designed with a somewhat greater height than in the embodiment according to FIG. 1. The regulating ring 16 is supported here on the collar 82 of the spiral concrete ceiling. In the assembled state of the system, the central opening of the concrete ceiling is completed by a tubular sheet metal jacket 17 reaching up to the impeller hub.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the diameter d2 of the central opening of the concrete ceiling is again smaller than the outer diameter of the bladed impeller, but so large that the impeller hub 3 and the blades 4 can still be passed individually through the opening. The collar 83 of the concrete ceiling lying above the guide vanes and partially within the guide vane circle has an annular cavity 18. The regulating device for the inlet guide apparatus, namely the regulating ring 16 with servomotor 15, is housed in this cavity 18.
Furthermore, the track bearing 19 of the impeller is supported on the part 83 of the concrete ceiling 8 via a support ring 20.
Fig. 4 shows on a larger scale a section through the concrete ceiling at the point of passage of the guide vane pin. The corresponding opening in the concrete ceiling is clad on the inside by a pipe 21. The upper shovel pin is marked 22 be. It is mounted in a bush 23 arranged in the lower end of the tube 21. The extension part 11 of the shovel pin is tubular and at its lower end with the shovel pin 22 via a nut, z. B. a hexagon, coupled GE and at the same time axially connected to the shovel pin 22 by a screw 24.
At the upper end of the tube 21, a roller bearing 25 is also provided for guiding the pin extension.
As shown in Fig. 3, the blade 2 is inserted in a position 21 with the upper blade pin 22 in the bearing 23 during assembly. So that the lower peg 26 can be brought into its position, a removable piece 27 is inserted in the sheet metal cladding of the lower part of the concrete spiral, which is brought into its final position when the guide apparatus is assembled with the peg 26.
The embodiments according to FIGS. 2 and 3 can of course only be used if there is enough space between the lower and upper edge of the guide vanes to assemble the impeller. According to FIG. 5, a platform 28 is installed at the level of the lower edge of the stator, on which the impeller hub 3 is placed and from which the individual impeller blades 4 can be inserted into the hub. In this position, the shaft 6 can also be placed on the impeller hub and coupled to it. The neck of the bearing can also be built in, so that afterwards the whole device can be lowered into its correct position after removing the assembly platform 28.
A lower grate 29 is also used for the assembly of the smaller impeller parts, in that they can be deposited there before lowering the impeller hub. This grate 29 is also used for the periodic impeller controls.
While the bucket 4 is being mounted with a special temporary hanger 30, the smaller impeller parts can be brought into place with the aid of the machine house crane. For this purpose, the implementation of a rope 31 with a hook 32 through the hollow turbine shaft 6 is provided. If more space is needed for the assembly ip the height, it would also be possible to arrange the assembly platform 28 in the bore of the impeller shell at a slightly lower position .
