<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Man benützt diesen.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The invention relates to a method for adjusting the speeds of two devices, for example a film projector and a tape recorder, in which each device drives an interrupter and this interrupter drives the rotational speed of one. affect the devices, and from a facility to carry out the procedure.
It is known the method of connecting the breakers one behind the other and allowing them to act on a relay which actuates a switch located in the circuit of a motor. In this case, however, a special power source is necessary for the circuit containing the breaker, and the relay causes a certain amount of effort, which is particularly important in the case of small devices that should be as cheap to manufacture as possible.
These disadvantages are avoided according to the invention in that the operating current of the drive motor of the device to be influenced is passed directly over both interrupters.
Embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. 1 shows the diagram of a first embodiment, FIG. 2 shows a view of an interrupter, FIG. 3 shows a modification of the first embodiment, shown schematically, FIG. 4 shows a second embodiment.
The device shown in FIG. 1 is intended to establish synchronization between a tape recorder 1 and a projector 2. Power is supplied to both devices via terminals 3 and 4. A line 5 leads from the terminal 4 via a field winding 6 to the armature 7 of a motor which drives the projector. A line 8 leads from this armature via a resistor 9 to a switch 10. This is connected to the terminal 3 by a line 11.
Lines 12 and 13 branch off from lines 5 and 11 and lead to a drive motor 14 of tape recorder 1. A switch 15 is inserted into line 13.
A shaft 16 is connected to the motor of the projector and drives the film advancing device. Two centrifugal switches 17 and 18 as well as an interrupter 19 are seated on this. In the tape recorder there is an interrupter 20 which is seated on a shaft 22 with an auxiliary roller 21. This auxiliary roller is driven by a magnetic tape 23, which is pulled through the tape recorder in a known manner during sound recording and playback and is wrapped around the auxiliary roller 21.
A line 24, which leads to a contact 25 of the interrupter 20, is connected between the resistor 9 and the switch 10. Its second contact 26 is connected to the line 8 via a line 27 and a push button switch 28. The push button switch 28 is closed in the rest position and can be kept open by actuating its push button.
A line 29 is branched off from the line 24 and leads via the centrifugal switch 17 to a contact 30 of the interrupter 19. Its second contact 31 is in turn connected to the line 27 and the switch 28. The centrifugal switch 18 is placed between the line 29 and the switch 28 parallel to the interrupter 19 with the aid of the line 32.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The lines 8 and 11 are also connected by a line 33 into which a push-button switch 34 is inserted. This switch is open in the idle state and can be kept closed as long as you press its push button.
An example of the design of the interrupter 19 is shown in FIG. 2. On an insulating plate 35, which is fastened to the shaft 16, sit two metallic, separate segments 36 and 37. The contacts 30 and 31 slide on the outer circumference of these segments, which are guided in holders 38 and 39 and are resiliently pressed against the segments. The segments are dimensioned so that the connection between the two contacts is closed during half a turn.
In the interrupter according to FIG. 2, a centrifugal switch is installed at the same time. A bracket 40 with a contact piece 41 is inserted into the segment 36. Opposite this is a second contact piece 42 which is seated on a weight 43. A compression spring 45 is housed in a bore 44 of the weight, one end of which is supported against the base of the bore and the other is supported against a collar 46 of a bolt 47 screwed into the segment 37. The weight 42 is slidably guided in the segment 37.
As can be seen without further ado, the segments 36 and 37 are conductively connected in the state shown, so that the contacts 30 and 31 are conductively connected to one another during the entire rotation of the plate 35. When a certain speed is exceeded, the centrifugal force acting on the weight 43 outweighs the force of the compression spring 45, so that the weight moves outward and the contact pieces 41 and 42 are separated from one another. The segments 36 and 37 are thus also separated from one another, and the interrupter connects the contacts 30 and 31 only during half a revolution.
The breaker 20 is also constructed so that it connects the contacts 25 and 26 to one another during half a revolution.
The motor of the projector is regulated with the aid of the resistor 9 so that its speed is slightly below the speed necessary for synchronism with the tape recorder 1. The centrifugal switch 18 is set up in such a way that it keeps the line 32 closed until the speed of the shaft 16 has almost reached the required synchronous speed. The centrifugal switch 17 is designed so that it interrupts the line 29 when this synchronous speed is exceeded by a certain small amount.
When the devices are in the rest position, switches 10 and 15 are open, which means that the motor circuits are interrupted.
If they are closed, the devices start up. First, the centrifugal switch 18 maintains a connection between the lines 24 and 8 via the lines 29 and 32. The resistor 9 is therefore short-circuited and the motor of the projector quickly comes to its speed. The centrifugal switch 18 opens just below the synchronous speed and the switches 19 and 20 ensure that the devices run synchronously.
If the breakers run synchronously and offset by 180 to one another, the resistor 9 is permanently bridged and the motor 6, 7 receives full voltage. In doing so, it exceeds the constant speed; but now the interrupter 19 rotates against the interrupter 20, and during part of each revolution the motor receives only voltage via the resistor 9. It therefore becomes slower. Ultimately, however, the overlap of the interrupter increases again and the motor is accelerated. In this way, an equilibrium is established at the synchronous speed.
If the push-button switch 28 is opened, a short-circuiting of the resistor 9 is prevented independently of the interrupters, so that the motor 6, 7 becomes slower. One uses this. Switch to compensate for path differences during start-up or otherwise.
If you want to accelerate the motor accordingly, you close the push button switch 34. The line 33 then bridges the resistor 9 regardless of the position of the interrupters 19 and 20; the motor 6, 7 receives full voltage and leads.
If the pushbutton switch 34 is operated too long, the speed of the shaft 16 can become so great that the interrupters 19, 20 are no longer sufficient to restore synchronization. With this increase in speed, however, the centrifugal switch 17 has interrupted the line 29. The interrupter 19 is therefore switched off in any case and only the interrupter 20 is effective in parallel with the resistor 9. The motor of the projector therefore receives less voltage regardless of the position of the interrupter 19 and falls back until it is close to its synchronous speed and the centrifugal switch 17 closes again.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the centrifugal switches 17 and 18 are omitted and the interrupter 19 is connected directly to the line 24 via the line 29. A line 50, into which two switches 51 and 52 are inserted, is laid parallel to the push-button switch 34. The lead 50 includes a winding 53; the heat generated in this winding opens the switch 52 after a certain time. If this switching device has interrupted the line 50, its switching element touches a contact 54 which is connected to the line 5 via a glow lamp 55.
When the projector is switched on, the switch 51 is closed at the same time as the switch 10. The line 50 bridges, since the switch 52 is initially closed, the resistor 9, and the
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Motor 6, 7 runs up regardless of the position of the breaker. After a certain amount of time; In which, according to experience, the motor has at least almost reached the synchronous speed, the switch 52 is turned over by the heat generated in the winding 53, so that the line 50 is interrupted. This state can be recognized by the glow lamp 55 lighting up and the switch 51 now being opened. The interrupters thus take over the control of the synchronization and the switch 52 can close again so that it is available again the next time it is switched on.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the current is fed to the moving image projector via terminals 60, 61. The terminal 61 is connected via a switch 62 through a line 63 to the field winding 64 of a drive motor, the latter being connected to one side of the motor armature 66 via a line 65. From the other side of the motor armature, a line 67 leads to a switch 68, which is connected to the terminal 60 by a line 69.
In parallel with the armature 66, two resistors 71 and 72 lying one behind the other are connected with the aid of a line 70; the resistance 71 is the e) larger. The interrupter 20, behind which the interrupter 19 is connected by a line 75, is connected to the line 65 via a push-button switch 73 which is closed in the idle state.
From the interrupter 19, a line 76 leads via a switch 77 to a point on the line 70 lying between the resistors 71 and 72. From this point a line 78 goes via a push-button switch 79, which is open in the idle state, to the part of the circuit connected directly to the interrupter 20 Line 74.
The switch 68 is designed such that its switching element connects the line 69 to the line 67 in one position directly, in a second position via a winding 80. This winding closes the switch 77 after a certain time of the passage of current due to its thermal effect.
The motor of the magnetic recorder is not shown; it receives its current from the terminals 60 and 61 in the manner shown in FIG.
To start the film machine, switch 62 is closed, switch 77 is opened, and switch 68 is placed on the path over winding 80. The motor 66, 64 is thus at the full voltage of the terminals 60, 61 (the resistance of the winding. 80 is negligibly small) and runs quickly up to approximately the synchronous speed. The series-connected resistors 71, 72 are parallel to the armature of the motor.
After a certain time, in which the synchronous speed is reached according to experience, the heat effect of the winding 80 closes the switch 77 and at the same time places the switch 68 on the direct connection of the lines 69 and 67. The switches 19 and 20 take over the control of the motor 64, 66.
If the two interrupters 19, 20 rotate at the same speed, each connecting the lines connected to them to one another during half a cycle and are not offset from one another, then the resistor 71 is short-circuited during half a cycle. The motor 64, 66 is designed such that it tries to run a little slower than it corresponds to the synchronous speed. As a result, the interrupters rotate relative to one another, and the line 74, 75, 76 remains interrupted during a larger part of their circulation, the resistor 71 thus being connected in parallel to the armature 66 for a longer time. This gives the armature 66 more current and makes the motor faster; in this way an equilibrium is established at the synchronous speed.
If the push-button switch 79 is closed, the resistor 71 is bridged regardless of the position of the breaker, the armature 66 receives less current and the motor runs more slowly.
If the push-button switch 73 is opened, the resistor 71 remains connected in parallel to the armature 66, regardless of the position of the breaker, this receives more current and the motor leads.
In the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 3, the resistor 9 connected upstream of the motor can also be omitted; the current supplied to the motor is then completely interrupted from time to time. However, this regulation works relatively hard and is only sufficient for low performance.
The interrupter 19 does not have to sit directly on a dent driven by the motor of the projector. This place is only valid as long as this shaft drives the gripper of the projector directly or via a non-slip gear. If the gripper shaft is only via drives with slippage, e.g. B. Pesen, connected to the motor, the interrupter 19 must be attached to the shaft driving the gripper or a shaft connected to this shaft without slipping. It can be useful to insert a translation between the gripper shaft and the interrupter which allows the interrupter to be dimensioned favorably.
The not designed as a push button switch, to be operated arbitrarily switches can be arranged so that they are operated from a common button and z. B. inevitably opened and closed in the correct order by turning the knob.
The invention is not dependent on the shown design of the interrupter and centrifugal switch, nor on details of the circuit.
