Dispositif articulé pour supporter un objet La présente invention a pour objet un dis positif articulé destiné à supporter un objet, notamment un plateau de table, caractérisé par le fait qu'il comprend au moins une paire de montants assemblés à l'aide d'une traverse, deux extrémités correspondantes de ces mon tants étant montées rotativement sur des flas ques destinés à être fixés audit objet, furie desdites extrémités portant un tenon d'arrêt susceptible de venir à volonté en engagement avec l'une ou l'autre de deux mortaises prati quées dans le flasque correspondant,
une "de ces mortaises assurant l'immobilisation des montants en position de support de l'objet, l'autre mortaise assurant l'immobilisation dies montants en position rabattue contre l'objet, le montant muni d'un tenon étant susceptible d'être déformé élastiquement lorsqu'il s'agit de dégager ledit tenon d'une des mortaises, pour faire tourner les montants- par rapport aux flasques.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exem ple, une forme d'exécution du dispositif objet de l'invention.
La fig. 1 en est une vue en élévation ; la fig. 2 est une vue latérale suivant<I>11-11</I> de la fig. 1 ; la fig. 3 est une vue latérale suivant III-III de la fig. 1.
Le dispositif représenté, plus spécialement destiné à être fixé sous le plateau 1 d'une table, comprend deux paires de montants mé- talliques 2 et 3, une seule de ces paires étant représentée, les montants 2 et 3 d'une paire étant assemblés l'un à l'autre à l'aide dune tra verse 4, deux extrémités correspondantes 5 et 6 desdits montants portant deux axes co axiaux 7 et 8.
L'axe 7 est monté rotativement dans un orifice pratiqué au travers d'un flas que 9 destiné à être fixé sous. le plateau 1, ce flasque 9 étant emprisonné entre deux butoirs 10 et 11 que présente l'axe 7.
L'axe 8, monté rotativement dans un orifice percé dans un flasque 12 destiné à être fixé sous le plateau 1, porte un butoir 13 à son extrémité libre ; cet axe 8 présente une certaine longueur libre entre le montant 3 et le butoir 13 pour pouvoir cou lisser longitudinalement dans le flasque 12.
Le montant 3 porte un tenon 14 à la suite de l'axe 8 et à une certaine distance de celui- ci ; ce tenon 14 est destiné à venir, à volonté, en engagement avec l'une ou l'autre de deux mortaises 15 et 16 pratiquées dans le flasque 12, pour immobiliser le montant 3 et, par con séquent, le montant 2, les axes dés mortaises 15 et 16 faisant entre eux un angle approxima tif de 90o.
Le dispositif représenté est utilisé comme suit Pour supporter l'une des. extrémités du pla teau 1 d'une table, on fixe les flasques 9 et 12 près du bord de ladite extrémité, le tenon 14 étant en engagement avec la mortaise 15. Les montants 2 et 3 occupent alors, par rapport au plateau 1, la position représentée au dessin.
Lorsqu'il s'agit de rabattre les montants 2 et 3 pour le transport ou le magasinage de la table, le montant 3 est manuellement déformé élasti- quement dans le sens de la flèche 18 pour dé gager le tenon 14 de la mortaise 15, puis les montants 3 et 2 sont déplacés rotativement dans le sens de la flèche 17 pour amener 1e tenon 14 en prise avec la mortaise<B>16,</B> le mon tant 3 reprenant alors sa forme primitive.
. Il est prévu de donner au tenon 14 une forme conique lui permettant de rattraper, pen dant un certain laps de temps, le jeu occasionné par son usure ou par celle<B>d'a</B> flasque 12.
Bien .entendu, le dispositif représenté com prendra une seconde paire de montants analo- gue à celle représentée, pour supporter l'autre extrémité du plateau 1.
D'autres formes d'exécution pourraient être prévues pour supporter d'autres objets tels que le placet d'une chaise, une machine-outils, etc. On pourrait prévoir gne forme d'exécu- tion ne comportant qu'une seule paire de mon tants.

one "of these mortises ensuring the immobilization of the uprights in the supporting position of the object, the other mortise ensuring the immobilization of the uprights in the folded position against the object, the upright provided with a tenon being capable of being elastically deformed when it comes to disengaging said tenon from one of the mortises, to rotate the uprights with respect to the flanges.

The device shown, more especially intended to be fixed under the top 1 of a table, comprises two pairs of metal uprights 2 and 3, only one of these pairs being shown, the uprights 2 and 3 of a pair being assembled. one to the other using a cross 4, two corresponding ends 5 and 6 of said uprights carrying two coaxial axes 7 and 8.
The axis 7 is rotatably mounted in an orifice made through a flange 9 intended to be fixed under. the plate 1, this flange 9 being trapped between two stops 10 and 11 presented by the axis 7.
The axis 8, mounted to rotate in an orifice drilled in a flange 12 intended to be fixed under the plate 1, carries a stopper 13 at its free end; this axis 8 has a certain free length between the upright 3 and the stopper 13 in order to be able to smooth longitudinally in the flange 12.
The upright 3 carries a tenon 14 following the axis 8 and at a certain distance from the latter; this tenon 14 is intended to come, at will, into engagement with one or the other of two mortises 15 and 16 made in the flange 12, to immobilize the upright 3 and, consequently, the upright 2, the axes mortise dice 15 and 16 forming an angle of approximately 90o between them.
The device shown is used as follows to support one of the. ends of the plate 1 of a table, the flanges 9 and 12 are fixed near the edge of said end, the tenon 14 being in engagement with the mortise 15. The uprights 2 and 3 then occupy, relative to the plate 1, the position shown in the drawing.
When it comes to folding the uprights 2 and 3 for transport or storage of the table, the upright 3 is manually elastically deformed in the direction of arrow 18 to release the tenon 14 from the mortise 15, then the uprights 3 and 2 are rotated in the direction of arrow 17 to bring the tenon 14 into engagement with the mortise <B> 16, </B> the mon as 3 then resuming its original shape.
. Provision is made to give the tenon 14 a conical shape allowing it to take up, for a certain period of time, the play caused by its wear or by that of <B> a </B> flange 12.
Of course, the device shown will take a second pair of posts, similar to that shown, to support the other end of the plate 1.
Other embodiments could be provided to support other objects such as the placet of a chair, a machine tool, etc. One could provide a form of execution comprising only one pair of uprights.
