Cycle The object of the present invention is a cycle, characterized in that its frame com takes two front and rear parts connected to each other by a hinge arranged in the central part of the frame, and elastic members arranged between these two. parts.
Embodiments of the invention are shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 is an overall view, in elevation, of a moped constituting the first embodiment.
Fig. 2 is a sectional view of a detail of this moped.
Fig. 3 is an elevational view of a variant.
Fig. 4 is a partial view, with section, of the second embodiment.
Fig. 5 is a plan view of a ron delle.
Fig. 6 is a partial elevation view of the third embodiment.
The frame of the moped shown in Figs. 1 and 2 comprises a front part 1 and a rear part 2 connected to each other by a joint 0 arranged in the central part of the frame, in front of the plane passing through the axis of the seat tube 3 and by the axis of the pedal 4. The front part 1 is formed by a box constituting a fuel tank for the engine 14, and carries on the one hand the front fork 11 in which the wheel 15 is mounted and, on the other hand , saddle 17.
The rear part 2, which includes the fork of the rear wheel 16, carries the motor 14.
Between the two parts of the frame are placed two elastic members (fig. 2) constituted by two helical springs 5 and 8. The spring 5 is housed in part between a guide tube 7, integral with the front part of the frame, and a bush 12, and is supported, on the one hand, on the rear fork and, on the other hand, on an annular rim 121 which the bush 12 has at one of its ends. The latter abuts, by its flange, against a ring 6 screwed into tube 7, which adjusts the tension of spring 5.
The spring 8, intended to work in the opposite direction of the spring 5, is housed in the bush 12 and rests, on the one hand, on the bottom of the latter and, on the other hand, on the head of a rod 9 which passes through this spring and which is articulated at 101 on the rear part of the frame.
The upper part 11 of the ring 6 constitutes a collar in which the saddle tube 3 is clamped. In FIG. 3 is shown a variant of the moped described, constituting a moped for women or mixed moped.
In the embodiment partially shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the frame of the cycle further comprises a front part 1 and a rear part 2 connected to each other by a joint 3, the front part 1 carrying the fork in which the front wheel is mounted, and the part rear 2 including the rear wheel fork.
Between the two parts of the frame are arranged elastic members constituted by helical springs 4, 8 and 10.
The spring 4 is housed in a guide tube 5 fixed to the front part 1 and is supported at one of its ends on the underside of a washer 6, arranged inside the tube 5 and integral with the tube saddle 7. At its other end the spring 4 rests against a head 13 which has, at its lower end, a rod 12 extending through the spring, the upper end of which is located inside of the seat tube 7. The head 13 rests on the rear part of the frame by the intermediary of a roller.
The spring 8, which is housed in the guide tube 5 and surrounds the lower end of the tube 7, bears, on the one hand, on the upper face of the washer 6 and, on the other hand, on a plug 9 which is screwed into the tube 5 and through which the seat tube 7 can slide.
The spring 10 is housed in the saddle tube 7 and surrounds the upper end of the rod 12; it is supported on the one hand on the upper face of the washer 6 and on the other hand on a shoulder 11 of the rod 12, thus working in the opposite direction of the springs 4 and 8.
The washer 6 has a tab 61, which can slide in a slot 14 made in the tube 5, which provides guidance for the washer 6 and prevents the saddle from turning. A friction damper 15 is mounted in the articulation of the two parts of the frame, in order to damp the oscillations of one of the parts with respect to the other. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 6, the frame of the cycle comprises a front part 1 and a rear part 2 connected to each other by two joints.
The front part is formed of two tubes 19 and 191, the axes of which are located in a vertical plane and each of which is articulated, at its front end, on lugs 20, respectively 18. attached to the cradle of the front fork. The tube 19 is articulated, at its rear end, on tabs 21 carried on the rear part of the frame; the tube 191 is also connected to this part by an articulation 3 and its rear end, which extends beyond this articulation, is provided with spells 4, 8 and 10 arranged as in the embodiment of the fi -. 4 and 5.
But, in this case, the spring 4 bears on the rear part 2 of the frame, while the axial rod 12 is fixed to a projection 13 of this rear part.
Thus, the tubes 19, 19, and the cradle of the fork form a deformable parallelogram allowing the fork to maintain an approximately constant positive a-caster, even on the most bumpy terrain.
The springs 4 and 8 interposed between the seat tube 7 and the front 1 and rear 2 parts of the frame dampen the reactions transmitted to this seat tube by the front and rear parts of this frame. In addition, by choosing their own oscillation period, the assembly can have a rapidly dampened oscillation period, which contributes to the comfort of the user.
As a variant, the front part of the frame could include two pairs of tubes 19, 191, each located in a vertical plane.
