Box, especially cardboard.
The present invention relates to a box, in particular earton.
In the following, the term “box” will be understood to mean both a rigid box and a folding box, that is to say made of a cut sheet of cardboard. that we fold as needed, when using the box, like that. is for example common for the packaging of pastries, chocolates, etc.
The box according to the present invention is characterized in that it has two opposite closing flaps, arranged in such a way that their free ends can come to rest against one another, and in that one of these ends wears a metal piece, of which. at least a part emerges from the profile of said end and is capable of being folded around the free end of the a. another shutter in. thus ensuring the closure of the box by the connection between them of the free ends of the two flaps.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the box according to the invention.
Figs. 1 to 3 are partial schematic views.
Fig. 4 is a perspective view.
The embodiment of the box shown in the drawing includes, instead of a removable or hinged cover, two closing flaps, the free ends of these two flaps are arranged so that they can be applied. one against the other (fif
Considering now fig. 1, we can see one of these ends 1, which ends in an edge 2, behind which the profile narrows somewhat in 3.
Passing through this narrowed part parallel to the aforementioned edge, a narrow metal strip 4 is attached to the end in question by a strip 5 of fabric, paper or other material held by gluing. The metal strip being longer than the narrowed part, it emerges from both sides.
The other free end, that is to say that of the second closing flap (FIG. 2), has a profile identical to that of the free end of the first flap which has just been described.
For aesthetic reasons, in particular if the strip of fabric or other material 5 is colored or has an ornament, this second free end can be provided with an identical strip 6, but without metal reinforcement.
Now applying the free ends (fig. 1 and 2) against each other, the assembly seen in perspective in fig. 3, and if we fold the parts of the metal strip which emerge from the profile of the end of the shutter 1, at 4 'and #' above the free end of the other shutter, we assemble the two ends between them, while allowing the separation which simply requires raising the folded parts 4 'and 4 ".
The assembly itself resists forces from any direction, because if it prevents the assembled faces from moving away from each other, the fact that it is of interest to a zone of narrowed width s 'also opposes a sliding separation of these faces one on the other, in their respective planes.
This is how the box shown in perspective in FIG. 3.
Besides a bottom, which is hidden, it has four side faeets, two of which are. designated by 7 and 8 visible.
A closing flap 9,10,11,12 is articulated to each of these faces.
The two flaps 9 and 11, opposite one another, are generally trapezoidal in shape. The other two, 10 and 12, also opposite one to the other, are triangular in shape.
P. close the box, first of all the opposing triangular flaps 10 and 12 are folded down, then, over them, the opposite trapezoidal flaps 9 and 11, the free ends of which are brought into contact with one another with the other, so as to be able, as has been explained, to connect them together by folding down the free parts 13 'and 13 "of a metal strip integral with the free end of the shutter 11 over the free end of shutter 9.
The box also has a loop 4, for example a ribbon, which will be attached to the metal strip before it is put in place.
Fig. 1 shows the ribbon in phantom.
In a variant, said metal strip could be replaced by a metal wire.
