Squeezing device for wet textile strands. According to the present invention, a quenching device for wet textile strands, for example woven fabric and fiber strands, is characterized by a roller for the moving strand that works together with squeezing and liquid suction means.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the invention, with FIG. 1 showing an axial section and FIG. 2 showing a cross section along line II-II.
In a machine frame, a suction pipe 2 is fixedly mounted with the aid of support bearings 1, 1 '. A partial vacuum is continuously maintained in this suction tube during operation by connecting the suction tube to a suction pump.
A roller 3, consisting of the two roller disks 4, 4 'and a sieve sleeve 5 connecting them, is rotatably mounted on this suction pipe. A chain wheel is keyed to the hub of the disk 4 so that the running roller 3 can be driven by a suitable drive motor via a chain drive.
The roller 3 is with. With the help of a ball bearing mounted on the suction pipe, so that you can get a high rotational speed.
In a swivel bearing 7 also fastened to the machine frame, a fork lever 8 is mounted vertically pivotable, between the arms of which in the bearings 9 and 9 'the shaft 10 of a rubber-elastic squeegee roller 11 is freely rotatable. The lever 8 is loaded by a weight 12 so that the squeezing roller 11 is pressed in the radial direction against the screen sleeve 5 between the roller disks 4, 4 '.
Discs between these rollers, the wet strand to be treated 13, _ for example, a roving strand, is inserted so that it is squeezed between the pinch roller 11, the inner parts of the discs 4, 4 'and the screen sleeve 5, but on his continuous forward movement is not hindered in any way.
The suction tube 2 has between the discs 4, 4 'one of the squeeze roller 11 facing axially ver running slot 14, the width of which is about a tenth of the tube circumference. The roller flanks of the roller disks 4, 4 ′ are covered with rubber-elastic material 15.
The wet strand 19 is thus squeezed when it passes through the roller 3 and the liquid is sucked into the tube 2 through the slot 14 and the sieve sleeve 5. The rubber linings 15 of the disks 4, 4 'prevent this in cooperation with the squeegee roller 11 in a sufficient manner: unwanted air enters the suction tube 2 and thus a deterioration in the vacuum.
A plurality of rollers 3 can be placed next to one another on the same suction tube 2, each of which works together with an associated squeegee roller and is driven so that a plurality of individual strands can be dewatered simultaneously with a single vacuum pump.
A vacuum pump can, however, also be connected to different tubes 2 in order to make multiple use of the same possible in this way.
The liquid extracted from the strands can be recovered either by installing appropriate liquid separators in the vacuum pump or in the pipe 2.
All parts that come with. The wet strand and the squeezed out liquid come into contact, of course, are made of appropriately resistant materials. With a device described, wet woven fabric and fiber strands can be dewatered in a gentle manner and in a continuous rapid through-flow process.
Such devices are expediently assembled with a wet treatment machine, for example a dyeing machine.
