Description
I>(z.</I></B> B.
Additional patent to main patent no. <B> 290584. </B> Process for the production of an azo dye. It has been found that a valuable azo dye is obtained if a 1) iazo compound of the amine of the formula
EMI0001.0007
with 1- (4-Ben7oylamiiio) -plienyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone.
The new dye forms a red powder. That see dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with blue, in water lilit orange-red color, and cotton after the one or two. badil-en Naellkupferungsverfahren colors in real, red-orange tones.
The compound of the formula above. can be made in different ways. For example, diazotized 4-nitro-4'-aminostilbene-2,2'-disulfonic acid can be coupled with oxybenzene, then the oxy group can be methylated (e.g.
B. with Metbvlbromid or -ehlorid or Dimethvlsulfat), reduce the so obtained nitromonoazo dye to the aminoazo dye, diazotize this and couple with 2-Aniiiiobeiizol-1, -earboxylic acid.
Another method of preparing the starting material mentioned at the outset is to couple diazotized 4-nitro-4'-amiiio- .still) eil-2,2'-disulfonic acid with 2-aminobenzene-1-carboxylic acid, in the aminoazo dye thus obtained Amino group aylated <B><I>(z.</I> </B> B.
aeetyllert), which reduces the nitro group in the 4-digit ring of the stilbene residue to the amino group, then diazotizes the reduction product and couples it with oxybenzene, methylates the oxy group and then saponifies the ae.ylamino group. The reactions required for the production of this starting material can be carried out in a manner known per se.
The coupling with the Ox.ybenzol is two-way in alkaline, z. B. Alkalicarbonatalkali- sehem agent performed.
The reduction of the nitro compound to the amine must of course take place in such a way that the azo group is not attacked, e.g. B. by means of alkali or ammonium sulfides at about <B> 35 </B> to 4011 <B> C. </B> The 2-aminobenzene-1.-carboxylic acid is expediently in weakly acidic, z. B. Essigsa-Lirem and coupled with, Alkali- beetat buffered agent and in the form of w-MethansulionsäLire.
After the coupling has ended, the methanesulfonic acid group is z. B. splits abge again by heating in dilute alkali metal hydroxide solution. The diazotization of the amine of the formula mentioned at the beginning is advantageously carried out by the so-called indirect method,
that is, by combining a solution of an alkali metal salt of the compound to be diazotized, which has a slight excess of alkali, with an excess of dilute hydrochloric acid. The coupling of the diazo compound with the pyrazolone is carried out approximately ten percent in an alkaline medium.
<I> Example: </I> 48.9 parts of the paraffin obtained by diazotizing sulfonic acid, coupling with oxybenzene, methylating the oxy group of the benzene nucleus and reducing the nitro group to the amino group are obtained with the addition of 20 parts 30% sodium hydroxide solution dissolved in <B> 500 </B> parts of water.
After adding <B> 7 </B> parts of sodium nitrite, diazotization at <B> 15 </B> to <B><U>'100</U> </B> by turning <B> 115 </ B> Dividing a <B> 3 </B> 31% solution of # # a-naphthalene sulphonic acid, whereupon stirring is continued for 2 hours.
The coupling with 16.4 parts of 2-aminobenzene-1-carboxylic acid in the form of its co-methane-silionic acid takes place in the presence of sodium acetate at an initial temperature of 201 and a final temperature of 2611 in the course of <B> -10 to 48 hours.
After the reaction has ended, heat inan to <B> 85 ', </B> add enough sodium hydroxide solution that <B> 100 </B> parts by volume of the reaction mixture contain 4 parts of sodium hydroxide, heat further and stir about <B> 10 </B> minutes - at <B> 85 </B> to <B> 950. </B> Now, on <B> 100 </B> parts of the reaction mixture <B> 10 parts -sodium eliloricl added.
The precipitated -Aniinodisazo dye is filtered off after cooling and washed out with 151% sodium chloride solution.
The product obtained in this way is dissolved in 1000 parts of hot water, cooled rapidly to about 20 'by adding ice, 7 parts of sodium nitrite are added and diazotized by adding a mixture of 35 </B> Share ÖOO / oiger hydrochloric acid with <B> 30 </B> parts water.
After several hours of stirring, at <B> 0 </B> to <B> 50 </B> the sodium arboilate alkali solution of <B> 29 </B> parts of 1- (4'-benzovlamino-phenyl-3-methyl- 5-pyrazolone is added, heated to <B> 50 </B> to <B> 601 after the coupling is complete, </B> the precipitated reaction product freezes off - it dries in vacuo.
