grill and roasting pan. Roasting chestnuts, coffee, etc., is not easy for the housewife, which is largely due to the lack of a correspondingly simple and practical roasting device. The invention relates to a grill and roasting pan, which should enable the housewife to roast in the presence of gas and electric stoves. Furthermore, the same z. B. also for grilling meat products, cheese slices, etc.
used earth. According to the invention, the pan base has raised parts on its underside, between which holes penetrating the pan base are provided.
In the drawing, for example, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown together with a detailed variant, namely: FIG. 1 shows the pan in section along the line I-1 in FIG. 3, FIG a view from below, FIG. 4 a partial section perpendicular to the ribs on a larger scale and FIG. 5 a variant of FIG.
The grill and roasting pan shown in Figs. 1-4 is made of annealed steel sheet of about 1 mm thick. The pan bottom 1 has a diameter of \ .320 mm and the edge 2 a height of 35 mm. A handle 3 made of Bakelite or another heat-insulating pressed material is attached to the edge of the pan. Your roasted goods. The upturned top of the pan bottom is smooth, while the bottom of the pan bottom with ribs 4 formed by welded-on or screwed rods is seen ver.
The ribs are arranged at regular intervals from one another. and run parallel to each other. They are spaced about 24 mm apart, are 10 mm wide and 4 to 5 mm high. The bottom of the pan is between the ribs. through holes 5 provided through which when using the pan on the gas stove, the heating gases pass through the pans bottom and the roast can rise penetrating upwards.
The pan surface is. grained, grooved or roughened. 6 is a wire mesh grate loosely inserted into the pan, in which the wires at the crossing points are connected to each other by welding on the circumference of the grate. The edge of the grate can also be taken by a sheet metal strip. So that the pan can also be used on the electric stove, the bottom of the pan is flat on the underside of the ribs.
The partial section in Fig. 5 shows a modified design from the pan bottom 1 ', in which the ribs 4' are formed in one piece with the bottom. The variant relates to a pan cast from aluminum, in which ribs 3 'and perforations 5' were produced by the casting. When using the pan for roasting chestnuts, coffee beans, hazelnuts, bandels, etc., the storage grid is used. The ribs on the gas stove distribute the gas flame and enlarge the heating surface.
As a result, the flame can be roasted with a relatively small gas. When roasting on the electric stove, the Rip pen on the one hand a sufficient heat transfer to the pan base and on the other hand is through the. Interstices formed between the ribs allow the access of heated air under the pan base, so that hot air can rise up through the holes 5 or 5 'and act on the roasted food.
If the roasting pan is to be used as a grill pan for meat, sausage products, cheese slices, etc., all you have to do is insert the grate insert. This protects the food from being burned during the C4rillierung.
Instead of parallel ribs, ring-shaped ribs can also be arranged concentrically with one another in uniform spaces on the underside of the pan base, or the ribs can run radially.
