Socket cover with safety device against the introduction of foreign bodies. The present invention relates to a socket cover with safety device against the introduction of foreign bodies, which device has a rotary disk provided with steek pin holes which, in its rest position, covers the plug pin insertion openings in the cover body,
so that the pins of the plug can initially only be inserted into the holes of the rotating disk and can only be pushed through the mentioned insertion openings after rotating the same.
The invention consists in that two slides are used to lock the turntable in its rest position, which slide against locking lugs in this position of the turntable and are displaced from their locking position when plug pins are inserted into the disc.
In the accompanying drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated. It shows: Fig. 1 the turntable along the section line 1-I in Fig. 2, without slide, Fig. 2 the turntable in plan view, with slide, Fig. 3 a cross section along the line II-II through the cover, 4 shows a plan view of FIG. 3, FIG. 5 shows a plan view of the cover with inserted rotary disk, on a smaller scale, FIG. 6 shows a plan view.
on the Deckelkör by with drawn locking slides and pins of the turntable, but without their base body, on a smaller scale, Fig. 7 a plug inserted into the locked cover plate and Fig. 8 the twisted plug, the contact pins of which protrude through the cover. The main body of the turntable 1 (FIG. 1) has a groove 2 which corresponds to the groove 3 of the cover body 4. By an octagonal bent spring wire 5 (Figure 5), which is inserted into both the groove 3 and the groove 2, the rotary disk 1 is connected to the cover body 4 like a push button.
The bore 6 of the rotary disk 1 fits onto the hub 7 of the body 4, so that the disk 6 is rotatable in the latter, but is secured against falling out axially by the wire 5. The disc 1 also has two approximately radially arranged grooves 8, in each of which one of the locking slide 9 and 10 is mounted. The slide 9 is provided with a nose 9a which, in the rest position of the disc 1, abuts against the ratchet 11 in the cover body 4, and the slide over 1.0 is provided with a lug 10c which abuts against the ratchet 12.
In the slide bern 9 and 10 holes 13 are angeord net such that they partially cover the holes 14 in the base body of the turntable 1 when the lugs 9a and 10a are in the blocking position. In addition to the grooves 8, the turntable 1 also has, for example, two pins 15 and 16 each, of which the pins 15 limit the turntable against rotation, while the pins 16 each serve to hang a spring 17, which on the other hand is attached to a pin 18, which is fixed in the body 4, is attached so that the turntable 1 is always pulled into the locked position (Fig. 6). Other means can also be used for this purpose.
If the plug pins of the plug, as shown in FIG. 7, are pushed into the holes in the base body of the disk 1, the two locking slides 9 and 10 are displaced approximately radially when these pins enter the holes 13, with their lugs 9a and 10a come out of engagement with the locking lugs 11 and 12, whereby the disk 1 can be rotated against the tension of the springs 17 by about 80 to the right until the holes 14 correspond to the holes 20 in the cover body 4, so that the plug pins through them Holes 20 and can be pushed into the contact sleeves of the socket.
If the plug is pulled out, the springs 17 pull the disk 1 - into its rest position, the lugs 10a and 9a slide over the lugs 11 and 12 and the slides 9, 10 return to the blocking position. The weight of the slides 9 and 10 is sufficient in the position of the disk 1 shown in Figure 2 that they fall into the blocking position. However, springs can also be provided which press the slide into the blocking position.
