Device for carrying out soil investigations according to the ramming method. The present invention allows. an expansion and refinement of the ram sounding methods known at home and abroad.
According to these known methods, it is possible in loose soil types to determine the penetration resistance of a point and, separately, the skin friction of a pipe which surrounds the rods of the point, from the work involved. However, the practical implementation of these processes is unsatisfactory. On the one hand, the skin friction must always be measured over the entire pipe depth, instead of being able to only determine it over a specific soil zone. On the other hand, the ram tip, which is spread across the outer diameter of the casing pipe, prevents direct access to the soil material for the purpose of carrying out mechanical investigations into the earthworks.
The invention consists in a device Vorrich which overcomes the above disadvantages. In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment example of the invention is shown. It shows: Fig. 1 a longitudinal section. through the device., Fig.2 a cross section along the line A-A of Fig.1. Fig. 3 and 4 aid for withdrawing upwardly the disconnected parts of the device. The device consists of a Ge rod, formed from parts 4, 5 and 6. These parts are releasably screwed together ver.
The lower part 4 of the rod is separated from the other parts and surrounded by a sleeve which has a part 7 at the bottom, which together with the tip part 3 screwed to part 4 forms the ram tip. Linkage and sleeve are from parts 1 and 2 of the jacket pipe to give. The part 5 of the linkage has two opposite grooves extending over its entire length, in which Fe countries which extend over part of the length of the jacket tube 1 engage.
The procedure for ramming soundings is as follows: The rods 4, 5 and 6 with the Ranini tip 3 and the jacket tube 1 and 2 are driven alternately by dropping a bear weight 8 above a certain fall height. The surface friction of the pipe can be determined from the work involved in driving the casing pipe, and the penetration resistance and thus the material density can be determined from that for the ram tip. In any desired depth position of the device, the skin friction of the pipe section 1 can also be measured solely by rotating the rod 5.
For the removal of undisturbed soil samples, a removal sleeve is screwed onto the rod end instead of the retracted tip part 3 (Fig. 1). This is slowly pressed into the ground and then withdrawn. In the same way, small load plates or shear blades can be attached to the lower end of the rod in order to measure the various mechanical properties of the soil.
After completion of the probing, the upper part of the jacket pipe 2 can be withdrawn directly and the section 1 can be withdrawn with the aid of the rods 4 to 6. In order to enable the latter, one of the aids shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, consisting of two spring-loaded hooks or
a ratchet device. This also allows the skin friction of the pipe section 1 to be determined solely in each bottom zone during the retraction.
