Description

Packing box for cigarettes, cigars and the like.

The subject of the invention is a packaging box, in particular, but not exclusively, for cigarettes and cigars, this box comprising a box body on which a cover is hinged, for example by means of hinges, a strip of paper or canvas, etc.

Usual packaging boxes of the type defined above, but more particularly cigarette and cigar boxes and cases, have the following drawback: When they are fully loaded, it is difficult to grasp their contents and remove them. , for example, a first cigarette, without risk of deteriorating it and damaging the neighboring parts, since the cigarettes are arranged in tight rows at the bottom of the box body.

The packaging box according to the invention avoids this drawback. It is characterized in that the bottom of the box body and that of the cover are connected to each other by at least one flexible member, part of which is applied against the bottom of the box body as long as the cover is closed. , this flexible member being arranged so that it can unfold and stretch as the cover opens, so that its part applied against the bottom of the box body raises and partially disengages from it, presumed full, at least part of the contents of this box body.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the box comprises a single flexible member, a member which may be made of canvas or of paper, which extends approximately over the entire width of the interior of the box body and which is arranged so that it can partially release from this interior by unfolding all of its contents. If this content is formed, for example, by cigarettes resting on said flexible member, the latter, by stretching when the cover is opened, forms a movable support acting like a movable lever to lift the blocks together. cigarettes, at their end near the joint of the lid.

This embodiment of the object of the invention is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing.

Fig. 1 shows in cross section, the cover being shown closed.

Fig. 2 also shows a cross section of the box with the lid of the box open.

Fig. 3 is a plan view of FIG. 2.

The drawing shows a cigarette box or case comprising a hollow box body 4 to which is connected by a hinge 5, formed, for example, by a strip of canvas or paper, a hinge, etc., a cover 6 which can be attached. fold over the gearbox body 4 by pivoting around the joint 5.

The hollow box body 4 serves as a housing for cigarettes 7 arranged, for example, in two tight rows, superimposed on one another.

The bottom of said hollow body 4 is connected to that of the cover by a flexible member 8,
formed by a wide strip of paper or
piece of canvas. This flexible organ is fixed, by
glued example, by its 8 'and 8 "ends,
in the background and near opposite angles
to the hinge 5 of said box body 4 and
cover 6; it extends almost over all
the inside width of the box and is arranged so that it is folded up, when more
or less loose or relaxed, inside
the box when it is closed.

   When
the box is filled and closed, part of the flexible member 8 is applied against the bottom
of the box body; the flexible member 8 partially envelops the contents of the box,
loop, going from one of its fixing points 8 'to the other 8 ", below, in front and by
above the cigarettes housed in the box body 4.

It follows that the cigarettes rest as a block on the part of the flexible member 8, appli
quée against the bottom of the box body, this part forming a movable support acting like a lever to lift the end of the cigarettes in a block located opposite the hinge 5, as one open the cover 6 (fig. 2 and 3). In fact, in doing so, the flexible member 8 is unfolded and stretches, resting on the edge of the
box body 4. As a result, the cigarettes are partially released from the box body and occupy an inclined position, as shown, in particular in FIG. 2. In this position, cigarettes are easily accessible and can be easily picked up by their raised ends.

When the lid is closed again, the flexible member 8 relaxes, folds up and its part fixed to the bottom of the box body returns to its initial position against the bottom of the box, allowing the cigarettes to resume their normal position inside the box. box body 4. I1 is not essential that the flexible member 8 extends over the entire width of the opening of the box body 4; it could have a smaller width and include rigid, semi-rigid or flexible elements, for example rods, lamellae, etc., linked together, so as to form an articulated and flexible member capable of fulfilling the function imposed on it .

      CLAIM:
Packaging box for cigarettes, cigars and the like, comprising a box body on which a cover is hinged, characterized in that the bottom of the box body and that of the lid are connected to each other by at least one flexible member, part of which is applied against the bottom of the box body as long as the cover is closed, this flexible member being arranged so that it can unfold and stretch as the cover opens, so that its part applied against the bottom of the box body raises and partially releases therefrom, presumed to be filled, at least part of the contents of this box body.
