Flexible material container, obtained from a tubular element.
The present invention relates to a flexible material container, obtained from an element of tubular shape.
De jades containers of this type are known, for example sachets used by pharmacists and druggists for the sale of certain pharmaceutical and chemical products in powder or granules. These receptacles, generally made of paper, have a flat shape similar to that of envelopes and have a bottom and a closure situated on the same plane, which has the undoubted drawback of considerably limiting the capacity of the receptacles.
In addition, when the contents are used in fractions, it is necessary, between each of the grips, to fold the container on the side of the outlet opening for the contents, because if this precaution is not taken and the 'the container is placed flat on a table, a part of the product still bagged risks spilling out inadvertently.
The aim of the invention is to avoid said drawbacks.
The container according to the invention can be distinguished in that the two ends of the tubular element are closed by flattening parts located opposite each other of the side wall of the tube, along planes offset by an angle between 10 and 90. The maximum offset of 90 corresponds to the container of greater capacity and at the same time of greater rigidity, which can be obtained from a given tubular member. This offset of 9Q between the planes of the two closures gives the container a special shape of the kind of a tetrahedron with rounded edges which lends itself perfectly to the application of an original advertisement on the four symmetrical sides of the container.
In addition, by tearing or cutting, for example with a pair of scissors, a pouring spout can be formed by which it is possible to direct the flow of the contents or of a part only of the latter and, in the latter case, the container can be placed on a table by one of its faces, with its pouring spout being at a level higher than that of the rest of the contents.
The end closures can be made by stapling, embossing and particularly autogenous welding, that is to say by integration of material against material or in any other way. The tubular member may itself be made from a sheet of metal or thin alloy or from a sheet of paper covered with a plastic film.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a view of a tubular paper element, the face which represents the inner surface of the tube has been previously covered, by coating or any other known means, with a film of thermoplastic material.
Fig. 2 shows the closing of the bottom of the container, obtained by pinching under pressure and temperature.
Fig. 3 shows the closure of the orifice used for filling, obtained by pinching under pressure and temperature.
Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the filled and completely closed container.
In fig. 1, the sealing of the covering part between the longitudinal edges 1 and 2 and extending over the entire length of the tube is carried out, for example, by means of knurls not shown, which knurls previously heated, are pressed into place. towards each other so that the surface of the thermoplastic film permanently adheres to the facing surface of the paper.
If it had been a tubular element made from a thin sheet of metal or suitable alloy, the seal would have been made material to material.
A la fia. 2 it can be seen that the bottom 3 of the regulator is made - left side facing the drawing - by a simple operation of clamping parts located one opposite the other of the side wall of the tube, by means of knurls or similar tools, not shown, previously heated and pressed towards each other, so that the surfaces of the film of thermoplastic material, included between arrows aa and bb which are subjected to the action of said tools, come to s '' integrate into one another, like an autogenous weld. According to this fig. 2, the flattening of the tube is carried out along a horizontal plane.
The dotted lines show the tube before the bottom is closed.
In fig. 3 we see-right side facing the drawing-that the closure 4 of the end of the tube which served as the filling orifice 5 is carried out by a simple operation of pinching parts located one opposite the other of the side wall of the tube, in the same way as that of the bottom 3 and by means of the same tools previously heated and pressed towards each other.
According to this fig. 3, the flattening of the tube is carried out along a vertical plane, that is to say normally to the flattening of the bottom.
This conformation of the container according to which the closures 3 and 4, respectively of the bottom and of the filling orifice, are offset by 90 with respect to each other provides the container shown in perspective in FIG. 4; container which, for an appropriate length of the initial tube, gives the greatest capacity and ensures the most complete stiffening of the container.
We see on examination of this fig. 4 that the receptacle has a special shape, like a tetrahedron in which the angles are rounded and the lines separating the four sides slightly convex. However, the container has four fairly flat surfaces allowing it to be placed flat on a table in a perfectly stable state of equilibrium.
When it is desired to use the entire contents of the container, it suffices to tear off any one of the corners or, preferably, to cut out one of these using a pair of scissors, biting off substantially beyond one of the closures, and removing part 6 as indicated by the dotted line cc fig. 4, to form a kind of spout.
The closure of the bottom 3 being identical to that of the closure 4 of the filling orifice 5, it is absolutely impossible to discern between the two closures.
If only a fraction of the contents have been used, the container can be placed flat on a table without inconvenience, ensuring that the spout is at the highest part of the container, which eliminates any risk of inadvertent leakage. the rest of the content.
