Selbstschalter.
Auto switch. The subject of the present invention is an automatic switch with overcurrent release by bimetallic strips and current coil, wel cher has two push buttons, by means of which one can operate a two-armed rotary lever by hand via a guide rod, which is connected by a tensioned spring to an auxiliary rotary lever in such a way that
that this can be swiveled from one limit position to a second limit position by the spring action. The switch is characterized in that this auxiliary lever is connected to a second, rotatably mounted auxiliary lever via a switch arm consisting of two articulated links.
which acts on a movable contact spring, the two-part switching arm can be bent at an angle from the extended position, which with the help of the bimetal BEZW. of the armature of the current coil from one side in the event of an overcurrent (permanent overload or short circuit).
In the accompanying drawing, for example, an embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown schematically in three different working positions.
Fig. 1 shows the auto switch in the normal paint, off position; Figure 2 shows the same switch in the manually on position; Fig. 3 shows the switch in the automatically switched off position by overcurrent.
The self-switch shown has a two-armed lever 1, which can be operated by hand by means of two push buttons 2 (activation) and 3 (interruption).
These two push buttons act ver by means of the guide rods 2a respectively. 3a depending on one end of the two-armed lever 1, wel cher on the fixed bolt 4 rotatably ge superimposed. The two-armed lever 1 is connected by the tensioned coil spring 5 to the one armed lever 6 which is rotatably mounted on the fixed bolt 7. The point of application 8 of the spring 5 on the lever 1 is chosen and the levers 1 and 6 are arranged so that the point 8, depending on the switching position,
once lower and once higher than the bearing pin 7 of the lever 6 comes to lie, d. H. that the lever 6 is driven by the spring 5 in the switch-off position according to FIG. 1 in the clockwise direction and in the switch-on position according to FIG. 2 in the counterclockwise direction. A middle position of the lever 6 between the above two end positions is unstable (7, 8 and point of application of the spring 5 on the lever 6 in a straight line).
The one-armed lever 6 is articulated to the link 9 of the angled switch arm 9-10, the second link 10 of which is in turn articulated to a one-armed lever 11. At one end of the lever 11 a leaf spring 12 is attached, which prevents the arm 9-10 from buckling to the left at least in the first half of the switch-on path of the pushbutton 2. The other end of the lever 11 is rotatably mounted on the fixed member 13. The lever 11 is provided with a cam-like finger 14 which 'works together with the movable contact spring 15, which comes into contact with the fixed contact 16 in the switched-on position, as can be seen from FIG.
The switching arm 9-10 can only buckle in one direction, and only in the direction of the leaf spring 12 of the lever 11, since it is prevented by the pin 21 or any other known arrangement from buckling to the right. The buckling can be caused by the action of the bi-metal strip 17 or the armature 18 'of the solenoid 18 in the event of a short circuit using the push rod 17' or a similar member. The winding of the coil 18 and the bimetallic piece 17 are traversed when the switch is closed by the current of the protected circuit, in the direction of the arrows drawn.
Fig. 1 illustrates the normal position of the components when the self switch is switched off when it is ready to turn on the circuit by manual actuation of the push button 2. The collapsible switching arm 9-10, which connects the auxiliary levers 6 and 11, is stretched and cannot buckle.
If you press the button 2 to turn on the circuit, the components described take the position already described according to FIG. 2, the two-part switching arm 9-10 is prevented from buckling to the right due to the action of the pin 21. Both levers 6 and 11 jump in this case when the unstable position of the lever 6 is exceeded under the action of the helical spring 5 in the position shown in FIG. 2 (torque switching device).
If the switch is to return to its original position by manual operation, so that the switched-on circuit is interrupted again, it is sufficient to press the protruding second push button 3, whereby the components described in turn assume their original, ge in Fig. 1 position.
If, however, a permanent overload or a short circuit occurs in the switched-on circuit, the two-part switching arm 9-10 kinks through the action of the pull rod 17 'and assumes the position shown in FIG. 3, the leaf spring 12 holding the switching arm 9-10 in place: In this automatically switched off position, the finger 14 releases the contact spring 15, which was previously pressed against the fixed contact 16 (FIG. 2), to such an extent that the circuit is interrupted.
Due to the different positions of the lever 11 in FIGS. 2 and 3, an indicator can be adjusted in such a way (which the latter is not shown in the drawing for the sake of simplicity) that it can be seen from the outside whether the circuit was interrupted by manual operation or took place automatically as a result of permanent overload or short circuit.
The two push buttons 2 and 3, which protrude from the housing wall 20 of the automatic switch, assume the same position in both positions, according to FIGS. 2 and 3, although the position of the components 9-10, 11, 12, 14 and 15 etc. of the self switch is different.
The self-switch described is advantageously designed so that the on and off speed of the Ge speed of the manually operated push buttons is independent (momentary switching device).
These automatic switches are largely used in electric motors whose starting current exceeds the normal current four to eight times. The momentary switch-on is more advantageous here than a slow manual switch-on, as this latter causes a strong wear and tear on the contacts and often results in their welding.
