Vehicle, particularly for use on water. The invention relates to a driving tool, in particular for use on the water, and the purpose of this is to achieve an easy and possible smooth movement.
According to the invention, the vehicle has at least one hollow body rolling on the base while driving, for which a drive device moving along the inner circumference of the hollow body is seen, through the movement of which the hollow body rotates as a result of shifting the center of gravity of the entire vehicle.
The drive device can, like an automobile, have a body intended to accommodate the passengers and have at least one drive wheel which is driven by a motor or by human power. The drive device can also be moved by means of an air propeller.
Furthermore, control means for changing the direction of movement of the hollow body and braking elements can be arranged. When the vehicle is designed as a water vehicle, the control means can be in the form of oars. The rotating hollow body can also be braked by stopping the drive device or, if possible, moving it in the opposite direction.
The propulsion device can also be equipped with wings and air propellers as a means of locomotion in order to form an aircraft which can take off and land both on the water and on the land. The vehicle can be designed as a sports device or a children's toy.
The drawing shows three exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows a side view of the first exemplary embodiment with an automobile as the drive device, FIG. 2 shows a basic version of the second embodiment on a smaller scale, FIG. 3 and 4 each a section through the embodiment of FIG. 1 with two per se different details regarding the mounting of the drive device, not shown, and FIG.
5 shows a front view of a further embodiment in which the propulsion device has airfoils and air propellers.
1 with a cylindrical hollow body is for example made of light metal be characterized as a floating body according to two different aspects. On the one hand, the immersion depth after complete loading may only be such that it enables the inner cavity 2, which is accessible from the sides, to be kept free, and so that the center of gravity of the loaded vehicle is as low as possible. This latter circumstance is of particular importance for the stability of the vehicle in the water, especially when the latter is in motion so that even larger waves or stronger winds cannot harm the vehicle.
The drive device in the example of FIG. 1 is an automobile 3 with three or more seats and an engine, for example an explosion engine, the crankshaft of which is operatively connected to the front or rear wheels or to all four wheels through transmission means of a known type .
This automobile can, as indicated in FIG. 3, be placed on smooth rails 4 on the inner circumference of the hollow body 1 and for this purpose has wheels with flanges which allow safe guidance. But it can also be equipped with gears which cooperate with rails 5 designed as racks according to FIG. 4. The device can also be designed as a tricycle with one wheel at the front and two wheels at the back or vice versa, from which that individual wheel is driven and rolls on the smooth inner surface of the hollow body 1, or can be guided by rails or the like.
Instead of the motor, any other engine with built-in transmission can occur, which is set in motion by Saud or by means of the feet or both. actuated can turn.
The hollow body 1 can, as indicated in Fig. 2, be extended ver on both sides to enlarge the inner cavity or have a shape other than the drawn designated. The hollow body 1 can also be equipped with a rim consisting of blades or the like and arranged on the outer circumference. Since the rotary movement of the hollow body 1 has a similar effect as that of a water wheel, d. H. it can turn a more effective utilization of the rotary motion in terms of locomotion achieved by such means.
If the drive unit is put into action, it tries to move forward on the rails by means of its wheels, whereby the center of gravity of the whole vehicle experiences a shift. The drive device thus presses down by moving its own weight and possibly that of the passengers or freight accommodated in the Vorrich device on the inner circumference of the hollow body, the part lying in the direction of travel of the same. A rotary movement of the latter thus arises in the direction of the arrow indicated in FIG. 1, the drive device always being approximately in the lowest possible position.
To achieve changes in the direction of locomotion, control means, expediently proceed in connection with the drive device,
which are present, for example, in the form of oars 7. Such a control means can be arranged on each side of the hollow body,
that each one or both of them can be lowered into the water,
. The control means can also be provided either at the front or at the rear in the central axis of the hollow body. The circulation of the hollow body 1
can be brought to a standstill by putting the drive device out of operation, which results in a braking effect since the weight of the drive device is superior to the weight of the hollow body. But you can also see before special braking devices, for example, a submersible in the water flap 8, which is attached by means of a Bü gel 9 to the drive device and can be operated by this.
Mirrors or the like are also provided on the drive device, which are arranged in such a way that the occupants from their seats are easily able to see the distance in the direction of travel and possibly also the distance covered.
The drive device can be provided according to FIG. 5 with support surfaces 11 which protrude from the hollow body 1 since Lich. Air propellers 10, which are expediently arranged on the wings, can be used for the drive. In this way, the vehicle is designed as an aircraft. The wings give it a lift that allows it to stay in the air. When descending on the water, it can roll on the water through the surrounding hollow body, similar to a land plane.
The aircraft can also be equipped with two or more hollow bodies. The arrangement can be made, for example, such that the seats of the occupants are between two such bodies and allow a clear view in the direction of movement. The hollow body or bodies can also be filled with a gas that is lighter than air in order to lift their weight as possible.
