Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von 2-Methogy-pyridyl-5-azo-3'. 5'-diaminopyridin. Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des neuen bactericid wirkenden Farbstoffes 2-Methoxy-pyridyl-5- azo-3'. 5'-diaminopyridin, dasdadurch gekenn zeichnet ist, dass man diazotiertes 2-Methoxy- 5-aminopyridin auf 3.5-diaminopyridin ein wirken lässt.
Die neue Verbindung soll als inneres Desinfektionsmittel terapeutische An wendung finden.
Beispiel: 33 Teile 3, 5-Diaminopyridin werden in Salzsäure gelöst. Zu dieser Lösung fügt man eine Lösung von<B>3,8</B> g 2-Methoxy-5-amino- pyridin die mit 21 Teilen Natriumnitrit dia- zotiert wurde. Man macht mit Natronlauge alkalisch, wobei der neue Farbstoff ausfällt. Durch Umkristallisieren aus Alkohol erhält man ihn in annähernd quantitativer Ausbeute als orangegelbes Kristallpulver vom Schmelz punkt 230 .

The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of the new bactericidal dye 2-methoxypyridyl-5-azo-3 '. 5'-diaminopyridine, which is characterized by allowing diazotized 2-methoxy-5-aminopyridine to act on 3,5-diaminopyridine.
The new compound is intended to be used therapeutically as an internal disinfectant.
Example: 33 parts of 3,5-diaminopyridine are dissolved in hydrochloric acid. A solution of 3.8 g of 2-methoxy-5-aminopyridine, which has been diazotized with 21 parts of sodium nitrite, is added to this solution. It is made alkaline with sodium hydroxide solution, whereby the new dye precipitates. Recrystallization from alcohol gives it an almost quantitative yield as an orange-yellow crystal powder with a melting point of 230.
