<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 178224. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Farbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen Farbstoff erhält, wenn man diazotiertes 2-Amino-5-nitrophenyläthylsulfon- in saurem Medium mit der 2-Amino-@8-oxynaphthalin-6- sulfonsäure vereinigt. Der neue Farbstoff bildet ein blaues Pulver, das sich in Wasser mit blauvioletter Farbe löst. Es färbt Wolle aus saurem Bade in echten blaustichig violet ten Farbtönen an.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 230 Teile 2-Amino-5-nitrophenyläthylsul- fon werden in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit 69 Teilen Natriumnitrit diazotiert und die Lösung in Eiswasser gegossen. In diese Diazolösung trägt man eine neutrale Lösung von 239 Teilen 2-Amino-8-oxynaphthalin-6- sulfonsäure ein und beschleunigt die Reak tion gegebenenfalls durch Zugabe von Na triumacetat. Der Farbstoff wird nun ab filtriert, ausgewaschen und getrocknet.

It has been found that a new dye is obtained if diazotized 2-amino-5-nitrophenylethylsulfonic acid is combined with 2-amino- @ 8-oxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid in an acidic medium. The new dye forms a blue powder that dissolves in water with a blue-purple color. It stains wool from an acid bath in real blue-tinged violet shades.
<I> Example: </I> 230 parts of 2-amino-5-nitrophenylethylsulfon are diazotized in concentrated sulfuric acid with 69 parts of sodium nitrite and the solution is poured into ice water. A neutral solution of 239 parts of 2-amino-8-oxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid is introduced into this diazo solution and the reaction is accelerated, if necessary by adding sodium acetate. The dye is then filtered off, washed out and dried.
