Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Farbstoffes.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen wert  vollen     Farbstoff    erhält, wenn man 1     Mol          (3,        ss'-Di-[N-methyl-a-phenylindolyl]-keton    mit  1 bis 1,2     Mol        4-Methyl-3'-äthoxydipher)yl-          amin    mittelst     Phosphoroxychlorid    kondensiert  und den erhaltenen basischen     Farbstoff    'so  lange mit einem     sulfonierend    wirkenden  Mittel behandelt, bis zwei     Sulfonsäuregrup-          pen    eingetreten sind.

   Hierbei reagiert das  angewandte     Keton    zunächst mit dem     Phos-          phoroxychlorid    unter Bildung eines Zwischen  produktes, das sich mit dem angewandten  Amin umsetzt. Man kann entweder so arbei  ten, dass man das     Keton,    das     Phosphoroxy-          chlorid    und das Amin gleichzeitig aufein  ander einwirken lässt oder so, dass man 1     Mol          P,        ss'-Di-[methyl-a-phenylindolyl]-keton    zu  nächst durch Behandeln mit     Phosphoroxy-          chlorid    in das erwähnte Zwischenprodukt  überführt, worauf dieses mit 1 bis 1,

  2     Mol          4-Methyl-3'-äthoxydiphenylarnin    zum basi  schen     Farbstoff    umgesetzt wird, der sodann  sulfoniert wird.    Der neue Farbstoff liefert auf Wolle und  Seide gedeckte blaue Töne von sehr guter  Lichtechtheit.  



  <I>Beispiel 1:</I>  Man kondensiert 88 Teile     P,ss'-Di-[N-          methyl-a-phenylindolyl]-keton    in 44 Teilen       Toluol    mit 54 Teilen     4-Methyl-3'-äthoxydi-          phenylamin    mittelst 36 Teilen     Phosphoroxy-          clilorid    zum basischen Farbstoff. Der ge  reinigte und getrocknete basische Farbstoff  wird sodann in 90     o/oige    Schwefelsäure ein  getragen und durch Zugabe von Schwefel  säuremonohydrat zur     Disulfonsäure    sulfoniert.  Man arbeitet darauf das Reaktionsgemisch  in der üblichen Weise auf.  



       Beispiel   <I>2:</I>  88 Teile     ss"P'-Di-[N-methyl-a-phenylindo-          lyl]-keton    werden in 70 Teilen     Tetrachlor-          äthan    mit 36 Teilen     Phosphoroxychlorid    um  gesetzt, worauf das erhaltene Zwischenpro  dukt anschliessend mit 50 Teilen 4-Methyl-           3'-äthoxydiphenylamin    zum basischen Farb  stoff kondensiert wird. Der gereinigte und  getrocknete basische Farbstoff wird sodann  in der in Beispiel 1 angegebenen Weise in  die entsprechende     Disulfonsäure    übergeführt.

  2 mol of 4-methyl-3'-ethoxydiphenylamine is converted to the basic dye, which is then sulfonated. The new dye provides muted blue tones with very good lightfastness on wool and silk.



  Example 1: 88 parts of P, ss'-di- [N-methyl-a-phenylindolyl] ketone in 44 parts of toluene are condensed with 54 parts of 4-methyl-3'-ethoxydiphenylamine by means of a medium 36 parts of phosphorus oxychloride for the basic dye. The ge purified and dried basic dye is then carried into 90% sulfuric acid and sulfonated to disulfonic acid by adding sulfuric acid monohydrate. The reaction mixture is then worked up in the usual manner.



       Example <I> 2: </I> 88 parts of ss "P'-di- [N-methyl-a-phenylindolyl] ketone are reacted in 70 parts of tetrachloroethane with 36 parts of phosphorus oxychloride, whereupon the intermediate pro The product is then condensed with 50 parts of 4-methyl-3'-ethoxydiphenylamine to form the basic dyestuff. The purified and dried basic dyestuff is then converted into the corresponding disulphonic acid in the manner indicated in Example 1. [0044]

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the production of a dye, characterized in that 1 mol of P, P'-di [N-methyl-a-phenylindolyl ketone with 1 to 1.2 mol of 4-methyl-3'- <itlioxy - Diphenylamine is condensed with phosphorus oxychloride and the basic dye obtained is treated with a sulfonating agent until two sulfonic acid groups have formed. The new dye provides muted blue tones with very good lightfastness on wool and silk.
