Gas meter with slide control. In order to always achieve the same gas pressure at gas consumption points despite pressure fluctuations in the gas supply line, pressure regulators are installed in the gas line, mostly just before the gas meter or directly at its inlet. These regulators have a diaphragm which is finitely connected to the valve body of a valve arranged in the gas feed line by means of a rod. Weights connected to the membrane always keep the valve body in a certain position.
A closed space under the membrane is connected by a line to the narrowest point of a jet suction device built into the gas line behind the valve, in the manner of a Venturi nozzle, so that the gas pressure behind the valve always prevails under the weight-loaded membrane. By the pressure of the under respectively. behind the membrane, it is raised slightly. If the downstream pressure drops, the membrane also drops and the valve opens a little more.
If the downstream pressure rises, the diaphragm and thus the valve body are lifted slightly and the gas passage through the valve is slightly reduced. In this way, the downstream pressure is automatically maintained if there are pressure fluctuations in the gas supply line.
It is now difficult to arrange the regulator directly in front of the gas meter or at its entrance. To eliminate these shortcomings, the controller is built directly into the gas meter according to the invention. By installing the regulator directly in the gas meter, the work involved in installing gas consumption points in houses is made easier.
In the known devices, the ejector sits directly behind the valve. With this arrangement, the pressure losses occurring in the gas meter, which increase as the amount of gas flowing through the gas meter increase, are not taken into account. As a result, with the previous arrangement of the regulator, the gas pressure at the gas consumption point still fluctuated to a fairly considerable extent. In order to eliminate these fluctuations as well, the ejector can be installed in the outlet connection of the gas meter.
In order to simplify this installation of the jet suction device in the outlet connector of the gas knife, the jet suction device is advantageously firmly connected to the connection screw soldered onto the outlet connector of the gas knife.
Since the regulator built into the gas meter is not so easily accessible; Like a regulator arranged outside the knife, it is advisable to install a filter in front of the regulator in the gas meter, which retains impurities carried by the gas that are deposited on the valve body or valve seat and could impair the gas passage there.
In the drawing, the subject of the invention is approximately in an exemplary Ausfüh, partially. in section, .shown.
On the left side of the gas meter 1 sits the gas inlet nozzle 2 and on the right side the gas outlet nozzle 3. Immediately adjacent to the gas inlet nozzle 2 is a chamber 5 which is accessible from the outside through a detachable plate 4 and which is filled with a suitable filter material, such as wood wool or the like . With regard to the gas flow, the regulator 6 is built into the gas meter behind the chamber 5. The installation is advantageously carried out in such a way that the housing of the regulator 6 is carried by the upper end plate 7 of the gas meter and only the lower part of the regulator protrudes into the gas meter.
In this part of the regulator -6 located within the gas meter, an angled channel is IN ANY that communicates with the filter chamber 5 on the one hand and is designed as a valve seat on the other end opening into the slide chamber. The associated valve cone 8 is suspended by means of a rod 9 on a membrane 10 which is loaded by weights 11. The membrane 10 is stretched across a chamber 12 of the regulator and divides it into an upper and lower space. The lower space is closed off by a further membrane 18 after the channel. From the space located below the membrane 10, a line 14 leads to the outlet connection 3 of the gas meter.
A jet suction device 15 in the manner of a Venturi nozzle is inserted into this outlet connection 3. Between the inner wall of the outlet connection 3 and the jet sucker remains a locking space that is closed at the top and bottom and into which the influence line 14 opens. At the narrowest point of the jet suction device, through holes 16 are seen in a known manner. At the end of the outlet port 3 sits, just as on the inlet port, a screw 17 to which the gas line is closed. The screw 17 originally does not consist of a single piece with the outlet connection 3, but is soldered on later.
With this connection screw 17, the jet suction device 15 is firmly connected in order to be able to attach the connection screw 17 and the jet suction device 15 to the outlet nozzle in one operation.
