Electrical safety and ignition devices for gas fires. The invention relates to an electrical safety and ignition device for gas fires with an electromagnetically controlled valve in the gas supply line, the burner only providing gas with gas and igniting it when an auxiliary circuit is closed by a push button after opening the gas regulating valve through which the valve opens and a glow wire is heated at the same time.
The distinguishing feature of the invention is that the burning flame with the help of a bimetal strip closes the switch of a circuit in which the glow wire, the solenoid of the valve and the switch controlled by the flame are in series.
In the previously known safety and ignition devices for gas fires, either the electrical ignition is missing or the heat switch controlled by the burning flame is switched in such a way that there is no protection against the outflow of unburned gases in the event that the auxiliary circuit is unintentionally extinguished is interrupted.
An embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in Figure 1 of the drawing Darge; Fig.2 shows the electromagnetic valve in section.
1 shows the gas supply line in which the manually operated gas regulating valve b is located; a is the fireplace and n is the gas flame. In addition, in the gas supply line, the electromagnetically operated valve c, the details of which are shown in Fig. 2, he is. This valve consists of the valve body p, the electromagnet r, the magnet core s and the spring q. When the solenoid r is not excited, the valve is closed. When the magnet is energized, the core s is attracted and thereby the Gaszu drove to the fireplace a (Fig. 1) is released in the direction of the arrow.
In the vicinity of the fire place a is a tube h provided with ventilation openings t , in which the glow wire d, as well as that made of the bimetallic strip e and the two contacts f and o be standing heat switch l is arranged. This switch is open when the fireplace a is extinguished and closes under the influence of the flame n by means of the bimetallic strip e.
The push button g is used in a known manner to open the valve c and at the same time heat the filament d by pressing the push button g from k9 via ui, u2 to gi, g2, Cl, via the solenoid of the electromagnetic valve c, after es, di, d2, ds and back to lci the circuit is closed.
From g2 to f, and from ui to i , additional lines are drawn through which the contacts gi and -u2 of the push button g are bridged when the heat switch is closed.
The effect of the device is as follows: Even before commissioning, i. H. Before lighting the fireplace a, the latter is already secured against the escape of gas by the fact that no gas can flow out even when the usual gas control valve b is opened, but the valve c is only opened by pressing the push button g and at the same time the gas is wire d is ignited.
As soon as the flame is burning, the bimetallic strip e of the heat switch l bends, with the contacts o and f of this switch being closed and with a series connection of the heat switch d, the solenoid coils of the valve c and the filament d via k2, ui, i, e, o, f, y2, ei, c2, d1, dz, ds, after ki.
This circuit ensures absolute security against the leakage of unburned gas in the event of unintentional extinguishing of the flame in operation, even if the ignition or the control fails for any reason, respectively. as soon as the auxiliary circuit is interrupted. In all of these operating cases, there is an instantaneous automatic blocking of the gas supply through valve c.
