Procedure and equipment for testing the load-bearing capacity of a subsoil. Methods that have become known to date for examining the load-bearing capacity of a building ground at a greater depth using a drill pipe and a pressure plate only allow a very imprecise assessment of the load-bearing capacity, since the effect of the overlay on the evasion of the earth material under the pressure plate is very significant is greater than the effect of the same overlay on the evasion of the earth material under the much larger building works foundation, as explained below.
Both previously known methods were made the pressure tests in a pipe. For this purpose, a pressure plate was chosen whose diameter or main dimensions are the same or almost the same. equal to the diameter or the cross-section of the pipe, so that the cross-section of the pipe res was almost filled by the pressure plate. At a certain pressure, however, a sliding surface forms under a pressure body in the material, on which the pressed material is pressed against the surface.
With the previous test method, the entire overlay outside the pipe was opposed to the evacuation of the pressed material on the sliding surface to the surface.
The effect of the lateral overlay on the final structure is much less than the effect of an overlay of the same height on the relatively small pressure plate of the experiment. As a result, the result of the pressure tests with a pressure plate that almost fills the tube is much too cheap; it can even be many times too cheap.
The invention discloses a method and a device for testing the load-bearing capacity of a subsoil, in which test results are not as imprecise as in the known devices and methods. The essence of the method according to the invention is that in a drill pipe successive pressure tests with bodies of different base area are made in order to gain points of the sagging curve for bodies of different base area -with the same specific loading, conclusions from their extrapolated course the depression of the final structure can be drawn. 'The invention may be explained with reference to the attached drawing, for example: It represents:
Fig. 1 is a section through the lower part of a drill pipe with a pressure plate according to the invention, Fig. 2 is a further embodiment of this pressure plate, Fig. 3 is a section through. The object of Fig. 1 along the line IV-IV.
In the drawing: A denotes the subsoil to be investigated, a the lower end of a drill pipe and b a pressure plate. The diameter of the pressure plate b is much smaller than the inner diameter of the drill pipe a .. Thus, when a pressure test is carried out on the sides of the plate, subsoil pushed up inside the drill pipe can come up, that is, it ends the sliding surface c on which the material is attached the surface moves inside the drill pipe and not, as before, outside the same. The loading of the plate b is carried out in the previously known manner, such that a load acts on the pressure plate with a hydraulic press. The depression and the pressure are measured in the known manner.
The described pressure test is repeated several times in the drill pipe with different large pressure plates <I> b, b '</I> for the following reason: With the same specific load, the sinking of bodies with differently sized and differently shaped base surfaces is different. If you connect the depression points with the same specific load, you get a curve that is subject to a certain law. In order to gain clues for a course of this subsidence curve, pressure tests are therefore carried out with bodies of different base areas.
By extrapolating the points obtained, stops can be made for lowering the final structure. Between two attempts, the soil compressed by the first attempt is removed to such an extent that it is not possible for the second attempt to affect the first attempt. In the various experiments, the sliding surface c naturally assumes a different shape, as indicated at c and c '.
If the lateral overlap is to be taken into account in the structure for which the pressure tests are carried out, the area d between the pressure plate and the pipe wall can be loaded during the pressure tests.
The amount of this burden must be calculated; it is dependent on the base area of the final structure and the superposition on the one hand and the base area of the pressure hull on the other. The influence of one and the same superposition is in a certain relationship to the size of the base area of a body.
