Description

  

  Deckhaube zum Warmhalten von Speisen.    Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung  ist eine Deckhaube zum Warmhalten von  Speisen.  



  Die bekannten Deckhauben dieser Art be  stehen aus Metall. Es hat sich dabei als  Nachteil erwiesen, dass sich der den heissen  Speisen entsteigende Dampf an den metal  lenen Wänden     niederschlägt    und auf die  Speisen tropft, wodurch dieselben verdorben  oder doch unansehnlich gemacht werden.  



  Solche metallene Deckhauben besitzen in  folge der hohen Wärmeleitfähigkeit der die  Gaube bildenden Metallflächen den weiteren  Nachteil, dass sie die Wärme der darunter  befindlichen Speisen verhältnismässig rasch  aufnehmen und an die Umgebung weiter  geben.  



  Bei der Deckhaube gemäss der vorliegen  den Erfindung werden diese Nachteile da  durch vermieden, dass die Deckhaube ein  mit einem abnehmbaren, nicht metallischen  Überzug versehenes Metallgestell aufweist.    In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungs  beispiel des     Erfindungsgegenstandes    dar  gestellt, und zwar zeigt:       Fig.    1 die Deckhaube in teilweiser Sei  tenansicht und in teilweisem     .Schnitt,          Fig.    2 die Deckhaube in der Draufsicht  mit teilweise abgehobenem     Überzug    und       Fig.    3 ein Detail in vergrössertem Mass  stabe.  



  In der Zeichnung ist mit 1 die Deck  haube bezeichnet; 2 ist ein ovaler Rahmen,  welcher an seinem Umfang eine Rille 5  aufweist. 3 sind gebogene, eine Korbform       bildende    Tragdrähte, welche in einem Knopf  4 zusammengehalten sind. Der Überzug be  steht aus einem doppelten Tuchgewebe 6, 7,       zwischen    dessen     einzelnen    Lagen eine Watte  schiebt 8 eingelegt ist. 9 ist ein in     einen     Saum des Überzuges eingelegter Gummizug.  Die Befestigung des Überzuges am Gestell  erfolgt durch Einlegen dieses Gummizuges  in die Rille 5 des     Rahmens    2. Statt des  Gummizuges könnte auch eine Feder ver  wendet werden. Diese Feder könnte eine      offene Drahtfeder oder eine geschlossene  Schraubenfeder sein.  



  Die     beschriebene    Deckhaube bewirkt in  folge der nur kleinen Metallflächen des  Gestelles einerseits und der grossen     Isolier-          fähigkeit    des nichtmetallischen Überzuges  anderseits ein viel längeres Warmhalten der  darunter befindlichen Speisen. Ausserdem  wird ein Niederschlagen des den Speisen     ent-          steigenden    Dampfes und ein Tropfen auf die  selben verhindert.

  In the drawing, 1 denotes the deck hood; 2 is an oval frame which has a groove 5 on its circumference. 3 are curved support wires forming a basket shape, which are held together in a button 4.
