La présente invention a trait à un bou chon extensible, caractérisé en ce qu'il com porte un organe d'étanchéité souple, à bord tronconique évasé vers l'extérieur, et à l'in térieur duquel est logé un ressort en forme de calotte sphérique, rendue élastique par des traits de scie radiaux et dont le bord, retroussé, prend appui contre le bord interne de l'organe d'étanchéité.
tandis que sous la partie plane centrale de cet organe est dis posée, dos à dos avec lui, une cuvette bom bée, fixée en bout d'un axe fileté traversant l'ensemble, un chapeau supérieur de ma- naeuvre recouvrant le tout et se vissant en bout dudit axe fileté pour provoquer l'écra sement du ressort supérieur et l'écartement du bord de l'organe d'stanchéité, soutenu d'autre part à sa partie centrale par l'appui de la cuvette inférieure. Le dessin montre, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'invention.
La fig. 1 montre, en perspective, les dif férents éléments constitutifs du bouchon, déboités les uns par rapport aux autres ; La fig. 2 est une coupe verticale du bouchon après serrage de l'organe d'étan chéité.
Le chapeau supérieur 4 moleté se visse sur l'axe fileté 2, pourvu à sa partie supé rieure du collet d'arrêt 2'. Sur cet axe est un ressort 3 en forme de calotte sphérique présentant des traits de scie radiaux qui lui procurent son expansibilité lors de son écra sement.
Le bord retroussé 3' de cette calotte prend appui contre le bord interne 1 d'un organe d'étanchéité tronconique en matière souple, analogue, par exemple, aux garni tures de cuir utilisées dans les pompes de vélocipèdes.
Cet organe d'étanchéité prend, d'autre part, appui par sa partie plane centrale l', contre une petite cuvette bombée b dispo- sée dos à dos avec lui et calée sur deux méplats 6 de l'extrémité fraisée de l'axe fileté 2.
De cette faon, la cuvette d'appui 5 ne peut pas tourner sur l'axe 2 et un écrou 7 vissé sur la queue de l'axe 2 maintient l'as semblage.
Lorsqu'on. tourne le chapeau 4 dans le sens f (fig. 1), il progresse le long de l'axe 2, écrase le ressort 3 dont les ailes 3' ten dent à écarter le bord 1 de l'organe d'étan chéité qui est, lui-même, soutenu à sa par tie centrale par l'appui de la cuvette 5 qui presse en son centre. Il en résulte une dé formation de la partie centrale de l'organe d'étanchéité, qui provoque également l'écar tement de son bord conique d'où une double action d'expansion, et l'obturation du col D du récipient (fig. 2) se trouvé ainsi réa lisée.
L'admission de l'air, qu'il est souvent nécessaire de prévoir, est réalisée par une rainure 5' pratiquée radialement sur la pa roi de la cuvette d'appui 5, l'air pénétrant jusqu'à la dépression centrale 5" du dessus de la cuvette 5 par un trou 4' du bouton moleté 4 et les méplats 6 de l'axe 2. L'air suit ainsi un trajet en chicanes, ce qui évite toute projection ou éclaboussement du li quide contenu dans le réservoir, par suite des trépidations.
<B>Il</B> est à noter, de plus, que lors du dé vissage du chapeau moleté 4, celui-ci est retenu par le collet 2', ce qui le rend im perdable.
L'invention applicable, en premier lieu, aux bouchons de réservoirs ou autres réci pients, n'est pas, au surplus, limitée à la seule forme d'exécution qui vient d'être dé crite, elle en embrasse, au contraire, toutes les variantes de réalisation, les formes et dispositions de ' détail pouvant varier sans se départir de l'esprit du présent brevet.
